Hello and welcome to Mexico City and the All-Star Game and All-Star Skills competition! I am excited to see how everyone performs during the upcoming events, and without further delay let’s get right into the festivities.

 

The first event in the All-Star Skill Competition will be the fastest skater. Each contestant will skate one full lap around the rink and the player to complete the lap the fastest will be crowned the S87 VHLM All-Stars Fastest Skater. Let’s meet the All-Stars competing in this competition.

The next event will be the Passing Challenge. Each contestant will have 6 different targets to hit with saucer passes. The player will sit on the middle dot and pass towards two targets near both dots near the blue line, two targets on either point, and two targets at the dots in the circles. Each player’s time will begin when they attempt their first pass. The player with the fastest time will be named the winner of the All-Star Passing Challenge. Let’s meet the players competing in the All-Star Passing Challenge.

The next event will be the Puck Handling Challenge. Each contestant will skate down the middle of the ice from center ice completing three different puck-handling skills. The player with the fastest time will be named the winner of the All-Star Puck Handling Challenge. Let’s meet the players competing in the All-Star Puck Handling Challenge.

The next event will be the Hardest Shot Challenge. Each player will take turns shooting 3 shots as hard as they can. The player who shoots the hardest shot after all three shots will be named the All-Star Hardest Shot Challenge Champion. The final event of the All-Star skills competition will be the Save Streak Challenge. Each goalie will face shooters from the other team in a penalty-shot situation. If the goalie lets in a goal within the first six shots they will be given another chance. With the 7th shot and moving forward, a goal scored will end the goalie's outing. The goalie with the longest save streak will be named the All-Star Save Streak Challenge Champion. Let’s meet the players competing in the All-Star Save Streak Challenge.

This concludes the Skill Competition portion the this season's All-Star festivities. Upcoming is the All-Star Games. We will play two games with each team playing a different goalie in either game. Following each game, we will name an MVP for the game and following both games, an MVP of the All-Star Games will be named. Without further delay let’s get to the first game.
