1. The S98 VHL Draft is complete! Please welcome our 1st overall pick, Cardinal Copia @Beketov, and our 12th overall pick, Bazooka Joe @ScottyP! What is some advice you can give to a brand new rookie joining the team? Is there anything you'd do for our rookies?... Take them on an arena tour? Take them out for lunch?

2. We had A LOT of moves this off-season to basically create a fresh new team. What do you believe are some next steps for Malmo in order to be back in the winning conversation?

3. Are you a fan of being part of a rebuild? Would you rather stick through it with an underdeveloped team or would you rather be traded to a contending team?

4. A new season is just around the corner! What has your player been doing throughout the off-season? Training? Relaxing? Vacationing?

5. With so many players on our team ready to start their VHL career and truly make a name for themselves, who do you think will come out their shell next season? (Team MVP? Someone who will produce more than expected?)

6. What do you think the best way to train at hockey is? Some people believe playing actual games is the best, some believe shooting 1000 pucks a day is the best. What is your best training method?

7. What type of music does your player/you listen to? Recently I've been listening to a lot more pop music than normal. 

8. What is your favourite colour? I'm definitely a lover of green. 

9. How have the first two months of 2025 treated you? Anything exciting happen?

10. How's the weather where you are? I'm itching for Spring to finally come.

1- Honestly, rookie or not I treat them with the same respect.
2- This just comes up to the players and the GM to make the right adjustments, figure out what works and go from there.
3- I don't mind being in a rebuild since I just become a bigger scoring option but I also don't mind being part of a powerhouse where I have a smaller role to play
4- I've been studying goalies to find the best spots to shoot but also practicing hitting those spots in training.
6- My training is studying top VHL snipers to copy them
7- Huge K-POP fan.

1. Welcome to the new drafties! The best advice I can give is to both trust Lucy and use them. They are a fantastic resource, and GM!

3. Being apart of a rebuild is fun. My only worry about it is traditionally, my players get traded to push  the team over the hump when they're doing rebuilding lol

4. Training, hitting the gym etc. This is probably his last year in the M, so he want's to make it count, and take another run at it with Halifax, if possible.

6. I don't think anything beats in game experience. Training is nice, but you can never replicate in game speed. My favourite way to train is to go comedy clubs and train my heckling ability on poor comics trying to make it. I'm named Hater for a reason.

7. Diss Tracks. So lately it's just been "Not Like Us' on repeat. The dance is probably his goal celebration at this point.

10. It's so fecking cold. It'll go above 0 Celcius like one day a week to give us a false hope, and then get cold and snow again.

1. S98 starts in a couple days!! After a long off-season, what do you predict Malmo's first 10 game record will be? I think we'll go 4-5-1.

2. What is your player's biggest goal for this upcoming season? 30+ goals? Career high in hits?

3. Realistically, we have a very underdeveloped team heading into the season. With that being said, what is the best mentality to have with a "young" team? Focus on all the goods and brush the bads off your shoulder? 

4. What jersey number are you rocking this season? Is there any meaning behind the number you choose?

5. Who do you think is our most promising prospect right now? 

6. Did you pay attention to this NHL trade deadline? Any moves that surprised you?

7. Speaking of NHL, who do you think will win the cup? I'm a Jets fan and this is the first time in a while that I can really have a good feeling about it.

8. What is the best fruit to be paired with chocolate? Chocolate covered strawberries are my favourite!

9. Would you rather: Be able to breathe under water, or, Be able to fly? (Whichever you choose, you will be faster than any other swimming/flying animal)

1. We going 10-0-0 (we’ve already lost one game, on a serious note I think we’ll be something around 3-4-3)

2. I think at this point maintaining and improving on what I did last year would be an amazing goal. We’ve lost a lot of talent, but if I can contribute the same way, or even better, than last year I think that’ll be great

4. Number 31! It’s a number I used as a goalie when I was younger (It was my birthday backwards) and now I tend to use it in all sports, unless it’s hockey irl and I’m not the goalie.

6. I think the biggest surprise move to me was definitely the trade, came out of nowhere and really caught be by surprise.

7. Petey’s gonna become Lemieux and the Canucks are going all the way this year, book it

9. I think that flying would be more effective (granted we get stamina as well). While swimming would be really cool, and I could go to the Olympics, I think that flying is a bit more practical irl. Though if my goal was simply money gimme swimming and I’m winning every medal ever.

1. Already a quarter of the season has been completed and Malmo is currently sitting out of the playoff race, 13 points behind the 5th seeded London United. Do you feel there is a chance for our team to turn the tides and make it to a playoff spot? Is this instead just a hardcore rebuild season?

2. When teams go through losing seasons, most of the time the team morale will plummet. What is something your player does to keep team morale at a good level?

3. Although struggling seasons suck, they only bring in a brighter future with top rated draft prospects and current young stars being able to develop more. Out of this upcoming prospect list (click me) which player would you want to see drafted to Malmo?

4. NHL playoffs are quickly approaching and the wildcard race is getting tight! Are there any teams you think that should deserve to make the playoffs that are currently not in? Or are all current seeded teams worthy of this season's playoffs?

5. Staying on the NHL playoffs topic, which NHL team do you think will have basically a guaranteed bye to the next round? (I'm a Jets fan, so I'm routing for them to get through the first round easily).
