@LucyXpher

Welcome, everyone!

Today is an exciting day for a lot of young prospects. Indeed, today is the day where they will get drafted for the first time. They will all have the opportunity to really be part of a team during their time in the VHLM and I wish all of them the best of luck!!

Cardinal Copia @Beketov RW - 156 TPE

I don't really think I have to justify my choice here. Beketov is a proven member who created five really good players, including two Hall of Famers, and is now beginning the career of his 6th player. Everyone knows what his players can bring to the table, and despite only having two points (1g, 1a) in 20 games last season, we know that he will continue to improve to help his team. Cardinal Copia will probably play two seasons in the VHLM, so this gives Saskatoon a two season time frame to be competitive and make a good run for the Cup with Copia.

Zak Trokker @Peace LW - 156 TPE

Once again, we have a really respected member who is returning after a break of a couple of seasons. Just like Beketov, Peace will continue to earn at a good pace to help a rebuilding Las Vegas team that probably won't compete this season, but will, without a doubt, be better next season. Zak Trokker will probably play two seasons in the M before going in the VHL. Last season, Trokker scored 3 goals in 14 games and finished the regular season with a differential of -3.

Kazuma Satou @Spartan  D - 312 TPE

I feel like I am already repeating myself, but Spartan is also a well known member of the VHL and the GMs know what he can bring to the table. The only reason I have him at 3rd and not at 1st or 2nd is because he already has 312 TPE. This means that Satou will only play one season in the M before going to the VHL, and since Vegas and Saskatoon won't go for the Cup this season, I don't see them drafting Satou-- but Houston can make a push, so it is more logical.

CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx RW - 212 TPE

Just like the Houston Bulls, the San Diego Marlins are certainly going to be good in S97 and will try everything to make a big push for the Founder's Cup. Indeed, they already have good defenseman and a good goalie so they only need forwards. CJ Daniels is the best forward available in the draft and should be the logical choice for the Marlins. Daniels scored 10 goals and added 19 assists for a total of 29 points in 72 games with the Saskatoon Wild last season.

Peter Vankman @Josh D - 136 TPE

This time, we a have a team in the Mexico City Kings who are probably looking to continue their rebuild. Since they already have a lot of forwards, they will likely be looking to upgrade their defense, and a player like Peter Vankman is exaclty what they need. Josh is a great member and will definitely be a big part of this locker room for the next two seasons before going in the VHL. Last season, Vankman had one assist in twelve games with the Mississauga Hounds and also won the Founder's Cup with them.

Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl LW - 209 TPE

The San Diego Marlins continue towards their goal of upgrading their forward core by drafting the second best available forward, Hater Tottingham. Tottingham will be able to help the Marlins right away and maybe even next season, depending on his earning, so it is the obvious choice for San Diego. Hater Tottingham had a really good regular season in S96 as he scored 18 goals and 27 assists for 45 points in 72 games with the Halifax 21st. They even finished with a +16 differential.

Saskatoon_Wild_xa1tNTp.png #7 Saskatoon Wild Saskatoon_Wild_xa1tNTp.png

Pepe Silvia @STZ G - 198 TPE

After drafting Cardinal Copia with the first overall pick, the Saskatoon Wild are probably going to look for a goalie that will be there for the next two seasons and Pepe Silvia is the perfect pick for them. Indeed, Silvia will probably play in the VHLM for the next season just like Copia, so the Wild really have a two season window to try and benefit from these players. With the Houston Bulls last season, Pepe Silvia played in 22 games and won 7 of them, while only losing 5 in regulation and 1 in overtime. He also maintained a save percentage of 0.919% and a goals against average of 1.61.

Miss_Emoticon.png #8 Mississauga Hounds Miss_Emoticon.png

Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone C - 142 TPE

After winning the Founder's Cup in S96, the Mississauga Hounds are also a team that will probably rebuild this season. Since they don't really have any forwards, Sheppard is the logical pick here. Sidney Sheppard played for the canadian team last season and scored 2 goals and added 2 assists for 4 points in 20 games, so he would stay in known territory. He also won the Founder's Cup with the Hounds to complete their playoff run.

OttawaEmoti.png #9 Ottawa Lynx OttawaEmoti.png

Mikko Tuomala @flyersfan345 D - 258 TPE

With the 9th overall pick, the Ottawa Lynx are going to draft the first first-gen of the draft in Mikko Tuomala. The member flyersfan345 has already shown some really interesting things, and if they continue like this way, they could really become a great member for the VHL. Tuomala is already earning at a really strong pace and this is why I think they will only play one season in the VHLM before going in the VHL.

Philidelphia_Reapers.png #10 Philadelphia Reapers Philidelphia_Reapers.png

Joseph Poole @Itz_Viperz RW - 169 TPE

For the last pick of the first round, the Philadelphia Reapers could draft the second first-gen of the draft-- right wing Joseph Poole. After a season of 3 goals and 3 assists in 48 games with the Halifax 21st, Poole is ready for a big role on his team and the Reapers are a good fit. Joseph Poole is probably going to play 2-3 seasons in the VHLM, so he could become an excellent player for the Reapers.
