I'm asking what people are doing 1. to see how others deal with the high cost of living these days, and 2. to promote something I thought up last week as a way to use the skills I have developed (mostly because of VHL). Last week I got the bright idea, at least I thought it was, to start an Etsy page where I can make digital trading cards for people much like I have done here. I have advertised that people can send me a photo that they would want to use for a card, as well as some relevant information, and I will make them a trading card that they can later print for themselves. Because this is really the only online community I'm a part of and it's sports-related, I was hoping to advertise my page to try and get a little traction. Maybe you have kids and it would be cool to have a custom card of them doing their sport, or you know people who would want that, or you really want one for yourself, that isn't just the generic one you would get for team-photo day. No matter the case, I would like to get this off the ground a little (and make some money on the side), while providing a unique service for people. I usually end up doing freelance work in the same field I'm currently in. If I get American work I make quite the killing with the exchange rate as it is.
