Recruitment Update 02/02

 

So, myself and @Moon are running Recruitment right now. I did step down. No hiring was made. Mooner approached me, and we're heading things right now. I don't know how often I will do this. Maybe as bigger things come, change or are completed. Anyway, let's get to some updating.

 

1. HIRED - @Big_Dyl was hired onto the Recruitment Team. Despite helping out in all areas of recruitment, they are primarily/specifically focused on recruitment efforts for Reddit. 
2. Recruitment Roles/Structures - Instead of a "blanket" recruitment role where it's just everything, anything, chaos and mess, it can be broken down into whatever you wish for it to be. Some, like myself and @Moon, will have their hands on everything. Some, like @Big_Dyl, will be mostly for Reddit. It helps with enjoyment. It helps with being effective. Probably burnout, etc. 
3. Recruitment Pay - I had brought it up prior in the BOG and will do so again. Right now, recruitment pay is 6/tpe week. I think there should be an incentive. I think there should be more. I think that those in the graphic should earn 6/week capped for their job role IF they complete graphic work for the week - and maybe an additional one uncapped for the work OR make that graphic worth seven capped, etc. I'd also like a discretionary bonus/privilege handed out around the week of the VHL finals. It would be discussed with the recruitment head and approved by the blue team.
4. JOIN REDDIT - r/VictoryHockeyLeague/  - We hope to establish a community on there - it seems active and fun, maybe draws more members to the subreddit, etc.. I'm unsure. Not too sure until we try. If you don't mind joining, it might be helping us out huge. 
5. Ping and DMing old members who haven't been seen in a while. What's crazy is both have been kind of effective. Neat sightings from a bunch of members like @Sjin @DoktorFunk @Berocka @GioSivo @Radcow @Rin @DollarAndADream  @Spaz @thadthrasher @The Wreckening @Blazzer and a few more..  You know, chat to a few others. They're out there. VHL is a great league. It's a family. Let's have it live forever. Let's bring back everyone and invite the new....and GO!   I think @Dom is back. They'll be back. 
6. YouTube - We have no budget. We used it for charity during the Christmas Drive, which shows how amazing the VHL is. This is okay. YouTube is the diamond mind. Does it have high retention? No. But it has high numbers. So high numbers/poor retention versus slow and poor numbers/poor retention. YouTube is the way to go. We are still planning for it. @Mysterious_Fish is going to kind of head it similar to what @Big_Dyl has done with Reddit. When the time comes, we'll be ready for an effective YouTube Drive. 
7. Affiliates - They've been posting, and we've been posting. It's affiliate love. PBE, SBA, ISFL, SHL etc. They're all amazing leagues full of good people who all love the sim league stuff. It's awesome. Overall, it is one big, massive community of sims.  

 

We have a good team right now. For people who love to help but maybe can't be 100% in it... We've created a role similar to the BOG called the Board of Recruitment BOR. They don't collect job pay but they do help out - pitch in on conversations and all of that stuff. We always welcome help like that, too - especially for graphic work. We have some members who can pitch in from time to time, and we just ping in there. It's first come, first serve. If you can help sometimes with graphics, let us know.
