VHLM This Week

(Week 2)

The VHL runs a fantasy zone roughly once a week. VHLM players are entitled to both the VHLM Fantasy Zone as well as the VHL Fantasy Zone. In the predict the score fantasy zone, you will need to try your hand at guessing the final score in a certain VHL and VHLM game for 3 TPE. The other fantasy zone is a pick-em game where you pick the winners out of four match-ups. You must guess all four right for 1 TPE.

The Player store is open once again the new season for those who have contract money in their bank. Players can purchase upgrades for your current player, or can pay their way to a feature spot in the VHL magazine.

Also don't forget to post in the VHLM Practise Facility to recieve the easiest 1 TPE you'll ever receive from the league. The thread is usually open at the beginning of the week and closed at 11:59 Sunday night.

Job Postings

Job Postings

A great way to get your name spread across the league as well as a quick way to earn extra TPE is to apply for jobs as they open around the league. The league is looking for a few positions to be filled at this moment. The VHLM Magazine is hiring a writer to contribute a weekly article about the happenings of the VHLM.

The HOF Articles is looking for a member to take on the article for a builder category. Even tho many in the VHLM many have been around for a short time, the Excel worksheet and various members could be a key resource for a quick nine points. Head on over to check it out.
Both these jobs have been open for awhile, so if you're looking to get more involved, help the league out and reward yourself while doing so.

Point Task Spotlight

Each week members around the league put a great amount of effort into articles regarding many different things around the league. Here is some of the media spots written by agents of VHLM players in the past week.

New Bratislava goaltender Filip Lundqvist recently held a media session about his few days he's spent with the teams. Head on over to read the interview on the young upcoming prospect.

Red Wolves forward and VHL draft prospect Jack Hines released a graphic this past week. One of the newest members of the season forty-five draft class comes from a old agecny with a very impressive resume. Head on over and check out his graphics

Bratislava forward and Riga Reign prospect Simon Valmount released a media spot on “The Deadly Duo”, that himself and fellow season forty-four draftee Alexander Davidson have created. Although the piece has been claimed already head on over to give it a read as each week Valmount puts out great articles.

A quick reminder for those who cannot submit a point task in a given week that the league offers a Welfare/Pension plan for those people. Take advantage of these TPE so your player continues to improve and not lose much ground to other prospects.

VHLM Games

Two of the league's top teams did battle in Game 74 with the Oslo Storm taking on the Saskatoon Wild. Oslo came within one with under two minutes to go, but that was as close as they would come as the Wild won the game 4-3. The Wild rode a 50 percent power-play to the one goal victory with MC Hammer, Max Mølholt, and R Truth took home the three stars honours.

After a recent stretch of domination that saw the Brampton Blades score twenty-nine goals in five games, the Moscow Red Wolves finally stepped up and gave Brampton a much needed challenge. From late in the first period till the 9:18 mark of the third period the game was tied in a 2-2 deadlock, that's when Blades defenseman Lucas Zhukenov scored his first of the season, The Blades didn't look back from there and won the tighly contested game.

VHLM Alumni

Edwin Reencarnacion- The top prospect from the VHL season hasn't seen the quick start many anticipated. After a successful season with the Bratislava Watchmen, Reencarnacion was drafted by the New York Americans with the top pick in last season's draft. Edwin was quickly inserted into the line-up from day one, playing twenty games so far putting up only eleven points over that span. Struggles aside, Reencarnacion is still progressing nicely and should have a great VHL career no matter his rookie season stats.

Thaddeus Humbert- The second Bratislava alumni in this weeks' article, Humbert made the jump to a competitor this season with the Cologne Express. Humbert had a great season for the Watchmen last year, putting up decent offensive numbers while stepping into the number one defenseman role. Humbert is playing with a very veteran defensive core, so he'll have lots of time to learn the fast past VHL game while growing into an elite defender for the Express.

VHLM Radio

Phil is back doing his OneX podcast again this past week. This week's edition highlights Oslo Storm forward Evgeny Nezhmetdinov. Each week Philip releases a fifteen minute podcast about a VHLM player compete with sweet jams. Even though it isn't very good, it's worth the fifteen minutes while needing something to listen to. Head on over here;

VHLM Rankings

Week two was posted this past week looking at player builds of VHL draft prospects. Kendrick does these each week and puts in a great amount of effort, so watch your inbox for a PM from the VHLSC asking questions periodically. VHLSC Prospects
