Last two weeks were pretty crazy for me - VHL championship, cup winning hat-trick, World Cup GM, FA...and the last one was unexpected thing for me. I completely forgot about my status until @Kendrick made a FA related message to me. I still remember my first FA experience when I had tough times to choose between Toronto and Quebec and now here we go again! At this moment I got an offers from 4 teams. FOUR! I never got so much offers before, but I can understand that. This season's FA class isn't stacked as this was in S47 when I was FA for the second time and at this moment there are only two interesting guys left - Karnage and me. Let's take a look at these teams.

 

 

New York Americans

 

I still remember that Game 7 when Calgary blew up the 2-0 lead, it was painful. The only thing that changed after that game is I'm not mad anymore. I got a cup, so no rivalries now. By the was, I'm GM'ing Reencarnation and an ex-American Kyanon in the World Cup. Solid option in overall, isn't it?

 

If I'll sign with them: They have soild offensive line and with me their attack will become more powerful.

 

What can stop me from signing: I have some doubts about their chances because their defence line doesn't looks pretty. A 297 TPE guy who was depreciated for the second time and a lazy 346 TPE def. Yes, Americans has a two-way Reencarnation, but still this isn't enough. And AVB still has some work to do before he will become a world class goalie.

 

 

Riga Reign

 

Reign? This is the first time, when @Toast has expressed an interest in me and I was a little bit surprised. But oh well, I'm from Latvia, so it's going to be understable if I'll finish my career in home.

 

If I'll sign with them: Then Toast will need to bring @DollarAndADream, @Cuffy, @JPL and @Jala on this team as well to make a Riga Lumberjack. And fire Bronson Faux, of course.

 

What can stop me from signing: I see that Toast tried to make a playoff push, but only Chuck Goody signed with Riga and I don't see this team being a contender in this year.

 

 

Quebec City Meute

 

I had nice seasons in Quebec, especially on S46 before I was traded. To be honest, I didn't expect that @brovy is planning to make a contender team in this season, but after the trade with Helsinki I realized Meute is going hard for the cup.

 

If I'll sign with them: My point count will not drop as QUE has only one winger and I'll get much minutes to make a play.

 

What can stop me from signing: I feel like this team will be unable to pull up an underdog card. Yes, underdogs - even though they acquired G. Clegane and Koponen, it's not enough to be considered as one of the favorites due to lack of the wingers.

 

 

Toronto Legion

 

I started my VHL career in Toronto and I got my second cup (+Super Cup in S46) at the same team. So why I should even consider about leaving this team, right? By the way, I thought @Molholt may forget about my FA status because he has family problems, but thanks to @CowboyinAmerica's mention in the LR (?) he made an offer.

 

If I'll sign with them: + depth forward for Toronto which is always a good thing.

 

What can stop me from signing: I'm feeling like the last season was a relative easy ride for this team. Now when the NA conference is full of ambition, I see that Legion will have a hard time to make a two-peat. And here's a fact - Benz was never playing more than 1,5 seasons straight for one team.

 

 

 

I was about to make my decision in this morning, but instead I'll make Higgins mad by dragging this out. Because even hedgehogs can be bitches sometimes.

Review:

No Seattle makes me sad  cool list. I hope Zeptenbergs decides to go out of the conference to give us a chance! Riga would be cool for you, always fun to play for your home team. Americans does seem like the best choice for you out of this list, might have some familiarity and would make for one helluva offense.
