I think a mid-to-late 1st is fair value for Inko, and that's where that Vasteras pick will most likely end up. We have no idea yet how strong that S38 Draft will be compared to the upcoming "Super Draft", but it could be a lot weaker, so I really don't think this is a lopsided deal or anything like that. I get the concerns about Vasteras trading away all their picks and going all-in now with a very deep roster, but not a lot of top-end talent. But I won't judge that approach until we see the results in a season or two. Inko is one season away from regression with 400tpe (380 but lets round up for corcos sake) with no banked tpe for regression next season and he is in the range from a semi active to an active, he does the odd pt but claims welfare. Mike 708 Posted February 1, 2014 Share Posted February 1, 2014 I haven't said anything really in these trades but when you look at them combined for Vasteras I just don't get it. If Corco isn't getting players as part of Part 2 deals with currently undisclosed players for cheap later on I don't understand. You can make the best case scenario that Vasteras got "fair market value" for some trades or that every trade was kind of close even though they lost slightly to get what they wanted. Season 30/31/32 players are going to get hit by depreciation. That is 5 players or approx 1/2 of Vasteras ready to decline next season and the team hasn't even hit a high peak yet and they might level off already and then decline as a team. Davos is light years ahead of Vasteras in terms of foundation and where they are headed. Sure Vasteras will likely pass Helsinki and take the #2 spot next season if they don't already start to have trouble vs. Riga. The season after though Riga should be able to clearly dominate Vasteras as will Davos (S38). Cologne on paper has a similar roster to Vasteras already but they have draft picks and other assets to trade away to get even more picks they need a retooling not necessarily a full rebuild. I hope for the sake of Corco that Vasteras miraculously does something next season otherwise I think it might be time for the league to step in. They have 1 season to win and that's a crazy Season 37 run he did something like this in the past where everyone knew the team was going to fall short and it did. If Riga makes the playoffs next season and beats Vasteras in the first round I think Corco has to be replaced. I didn't rag on Corco, I pm'd him and had a conversation about the fact. I was giving my opinion on the trade. I don't need to do that any further here. Everyone else already said most of what everyone pretty much thinks, which is that this is another over payment for a player.
