1. Regular season is over , overall how did we do ?

1. Regular season is over , overall how did we do ?

I think we did better than expected. @JB123 built a great team and we we're running away with first overall in the standings for the majority of the season. Even though we had a few hiccups near the end we still managed to finish first. 

 

2. Out of the many candidates who was our regular season mvp ?

Despite Jameson leading the league in goals and points, I believe it was a team effort and you can't single out one player who gave us more wins. From goaltending to defense to forwards it was an incredibly deep line up, everyone deserves some credit and we can share the team MVP. 

 

3. Our first round series is against Vasteras what will be the key to coming out on top in that series ?

I think it will come down to goaltending and our scoring depth. If @NSG can out duel Murdock and our offense can score the way we know it can then we should win. 

 

4. How do you view your regular season as a whole ?

Jameson outplayed even my wildest expectations for him this season. I'm still stunned he lead the league in goals and points. 

 

5. NHL regular season is now underway whos exceeded your expectations so far ?

I think it's still too early to tell predictions after 2-3 games isn't worth the effort. Need a larger sample size. 

 

6. Does connor Bedard go first overall this coming summer in the NHL draft ?

Yes. The fact Michkov is signed in the KHL until 2024-25 will hurt his chances at first overall. Also the fact that Bedard has come flying out of the gate.

Congrats, team! Kauppi will be celebrating with his move to Oslo and eventually a home warming party that everyone is welcome to.

Strength.

I don't know what JB did, but exactly that.

Breakfast. When a place says "we serve breakfast all day" it's like oh yeah I can get some PANCAKES right now?! Whereas lunch and dinner it's acceptable to have most of the usual the rest of the day. Breakfast is just built different.

4.regular season I think we will be around the bottom of the playoff cutoff and for playoffs we will win 1st round from there we will have too see!

5.my individual goal is too consistently put up points and provide for the squad
6. What are your thoughts on the start to the NHL season? Personally, lots of surprises for me!

6.I personally have also been very surprised in the level of physical play this season so far other then that GO TORONTO GO!!

The biggest strength I feel we’re going to have is the appetite for more, with some new players, including myself is the need to want to prove ourselves.

Reach a milestone year, which seems easy given I only played barely half a season last year. But I want to set high standards for myself.

I made the playoffs with the team I was wavered onto last year, which was great but I didn’t preform well so it was not a good time. 

 

5. what was the biggest thing you worked on with your player this off season ?

stick handling and shooting

I wasn't here last season, but I think our strength will end up being our depth. It's nice to be surrounded by so much talent.

We have the talent for it, but we're going to have to come-together as a team to find our best game plan for this season. It may take us a while before we really click as a unit, but if we're ready by the playoffs nobody will stop us.

I want Joyo to stay involved on offense and to be an effective defender.

 

4. did you accomplish your goals for your players last season ?

Absolutely! My season in Philadelphia started disappointing, but we did rebound to win the championship in the playoffs. It was a great experience to go through early in my career!

 

5. what was the biggest thing you worked on with your player this off season ?

Puck-handling, I realized that this is a bigger priority for my player if he wants to be an effective passer. Also face-offs!

 

6. who’s the early favourite this year in the VHL ?

Looks like Chicago, but I honestly haven't been able to follow the pro league yet.

1. We’re middle of the pack so far this season what areas could use improvement most ?

 

2. Jon Webber Jr is on track to become the Storms all time leading scorer this season , does he do it ?

I think it has to be our scoring so far. We're doing a great job of playing disciplined defense most nights, but we're not doing enough with the offensive opportunities we've had. We're growing though, and we have talented offensive players to work with.

Definitely! We are picking up steam now and Webber Jr. will have a huge season, Joyo will look his way for all the assists he can get. 

 

3. If you could have one VHLE player past or present on the team this season who would it be and why ?

Care Bear! We teamed up in Halifax and Philadelphia, but he's still back there for this season. Great bear! 

 

4. what road city has the best away locker room and best rink in the VHLE ?

The best away locker room is Vasteras, as they are aware of my need for extra locker space and mirrors. 

For rink I love Stockholm, those games are fun ones 

 

5 . How’s your player doing so far this season ?

He's doing his best! Stat-wise it's been a slow start to the season, but Joyo has gone through this before. I'm excited to see how my role with the team continues to develop. 

 

6. Christmas is coming up what’s your go to Christmas movie ?

I'm not a huge fan of most Christmas movies, I like Elf a lot though

1. Oslo recently acquired Rhys Trenton , and Vinny Lecavalier via trade how do you think they’ve meshed with our current team in the locker room and on the ice ?

 

2. We’ve been relatively inconsistent this year , how do we fix that ?

 

3. how has your player preformed through the first quarter of the season ?

 

4. Oslo is thinking about naming the team mascot , any Suggestions?

 

5. Winter is finally here and here to stay , what do you prefer summer or winter ?

 

6. Who do you think has been the biggest surprise player this year in the NHL so far ?

1. Lecavalier has been performing well and driving offense, which is very good. Also a great person to have in the LR. Hoping Trenton, an IA, finds their stride too. 

2. Ideally with the recent trade and facing some more teams we will see better results on a more consistent basis. 
3. Surprisingly well, seems to be meshing well with his linemates in San Diego.

4. Thunder or Thor? As far as I know the logo is supposed to represent the Norse god so that could be a good match.
5. Definitely summer, both have their pros and cons though. Not a huge fan of the freezing cold weather at all, but the holidays are a plus.

6. From a Bruins perspective, probably Linus Ullmark or Hampus Lindholm, both have stepped up big time early this season.

I love the additions! They feel like the missing pieces that we've been needing, and I think the rest of the team has really stepped up once we brought in our reinforcements! 

 

2. We’ve been relatively inconsistent this year , how do we fix that ?

There's two ways that I can think of. The first is probably easier, which would be for us to throw every single game and make ourselves into a loser, but a consistent loser. The other method would be us putting it all together and lifting each other to a higher level-of-play so that we become a consistent winner. 

 

3. how has your player preformed through the first quarter of the season ?

Joyo started quiet, but now he's leading the team in points and +/- so I think he has settled in nicely. Looking forward to a strong finish to the season! 

 

4. Oslo is thinking about naming the team mascot , any Suggestions?

The Oslo Owls would be cool, so long as the owl was wearing sunglasses. 

 

5. Winter is finally here and here to stay , what do you prefer summer or winter ?

Winter over summer, but I'll take Fall and Spring over either. 

 

6. Who do you think has been the biggest surprise player this year in the NHL so far ?

My NHL knowledge is limited, but I do know Ilya Sorokin has been a revelation for the Isles.

As long as they're cool with wearing sunglasses, I think we'll all get along just fine.

It's a really good question, and I don't have an answer for it. I think we've mostly found our footing against most teams, but it's been real tough to get where we are now.

 

3. how has your player preformed through the first quarter of the season ?

Kauppi's performance has been alright. He's had a lot of scoring opportunities, but the opponents' defense and goaltending have been incredible. It's driving me crazy.

 

4. Oslo is thinking about naming the team mascot , any Suggestions?

5. Winter is finally here and here to stay , what do you prefer summer or winter ?

Winter! It's much easier to bundle up and my A/C doesn't run as often..

 

6. Who do you think has been the biggest surprise player this year in the NHL so far ?

I'm biased towards Dallas, so my go-to here has to be Jason Robertson. He's been on an 18 or 19 game point streak so far, a hat trick last game, and it doesn't look like it's gonna stop anytime soon.

1. The playoff race is heating up and closer then ever , how can we create some separation?

Keep improving, keep picking up points. We need to find ways to beat teams like Bratislava, for one, who we’ve had some trouble with. 

2. Up to this point of the season what’s been our biggest strength as a team ?

Probably sound team defense overall, while still maintaining a threatening attack. Also growth from a developmental standpoint. 

3. what’s been our biggest weakness ?

I would say our inability to generate strong scoring opportunities early on, but that’s been largely resolved as of late. However, we can improve on not getting behind by multiple goals, because that seems to be our downfall. 

4. Would you rather score an OT winner or save a goal in OT ?

I’d say it depends on how deliberate the save was and whether or not my team went on to win. If they didn’t, I’d for sure choose to score the winner, if they did, probably the save. 

5. who do you got taking the fifa World Cup ?

France has a good shot at repeating, and there’s a solid chance that we’ll have a rematch of the final four years ago. That being said, I’m thinking Argentina vs France, with Argentina taking it.

6. Would you rather travel with the team on a bus or plane ?

Plane, awesome time flying around Europe and seeing the sights throughout the season!

We play harder! We send a message that Oslo has grown as a team, and that we are to be feared!

Our positive-outlook and friendliness. Also, our goal keeping.

Scoring unfortunately, but we're starting to change that!

I would rather save a goal at the end of regulation to secure a win than score an OT goal.  I would take the OT goal over the OT save though because there's not guarantee you still win after the OT save.

 

5. who do you got taking the fifa World Cup ?

I think France, but I haven't watched much this time.

 

6. Would you rather travel with the team on a bus or plane ?

Plane please, make the travel as short as possible.

We need the focus and mentality, no time for us to give up any cheap goals!

I don't think there is, you've always got to re-prove your worth in the playoffs and I don't think anyone is a heavy favorite.

 

3. How do you prepare for playoffs usually ?

I break in a new pair of sunglasses, and get myself a massage.

 

4. Oslo has faced a lot of adversity this season , what do you think has been our teams rallying cry to get back into the thick of the race ?

I think it was our midseason additions and all of their energy, we really seemed to rally around those moves

 

5. Christmas is pretty much here what are you plans ? 

I'll be at a cabin with my family, looking forward to it a ton!

3. How has your player performed in the playoffs so far ?

 

4. what is key to playoff success ?

 

5. how was your Christmas with family ?

1. We beat the red wolves in a barn burner of a wildcard series how do we keep it rolling ?

We have to not let as many goals in.  We've been letting cologne take way to many shots on us so we've should play a little more defensive.

2. with playoffs in full swing have there been any surprises ?

We've been having close games! It's going to be a tough series with cologne..

3. How has your player performed in the playoffs so far ?

Really good. He's above a point per game, almost 2 ppg! 

4. what is key to playoff success ?

DEFENSE! always defense 

5. how was your Christmas with family ? 
It was good, got some nice gifts and had a nice dinner!

6. are you on the look out for any particular Boxing Day sale ?

Got some wireless earbuds and mainly looking for video games! I'm going to buy Ready or Not pretty soon

We're in the finals now! Hoping we can get a reverse sweep going!

Honestly, us. We had a rocky start of the season and look where we are now! HOW DID WE BEAT COLOGNE?!

 

3. How has your player performed in the playoffs so far ?

He could definitely do a bit better... 12 points out of 10 games isn't terrible, but could be better!

 

4. what is key to playoff success ?

Teamwork, which has so many things that are kinda implied like communication and coordination. Minimize our penalties and maximize our PK chances. 

 

5. how was your Christmas with family ? 
It was epic! It was my niece's first and lots of fun surprises. Topped off with a filling lunch.

 

6. are you on the look out for any particular Boxing Day sale ?

Nah, I usually forget about that kind of stuff! Although, nowadays I'm on the lookout for new tools for my new collection...
