We are definitely the underdogs looking a massive upset. I don't wanna get my hopes up too high... but you never know!

Probably the plus minus, impressive +43!

Not really, no. Taavetti just goes about his business pretty casual

Nothing bad to say about this! Goalies are still really good so I think it was a good decision.

My last player was very different from this one, so maybe they could teach each other something?

Can't really say one stats in particular. Top 5 in Points and Hits, top 10 in Shots Blocked, Penalty Minutes and Powerplay goals.

Goalies will always be in a weird spot because of the offputting attributes that SimonT has, I wonder if we'll start looking at other engines soon.

I wish I could play with my last gen player, Cadmael. Would love to have seen that defensive presence!

5. What was your player’s most impressive stat this regular season?

How underwhelming he was. Way below expectations.

Oh yeah, the skates must always stay clean and shiny. No scuffs and certainly no smudges.

Honestly, I said last week that anything beyond the Wild Card was gravy. I still feel that way, expectations certainly exceeded.

AKK has stepped up huge in some big moments. Take this series against Riga - we've been outshot every game, but thanks to AKK we're still in it.

Absolutely.  Its a curse true and blue and the only thing Davos has in its favor this season is that it missed the curse.

Yes and no….  I thought Davos was in a rebuilding season but at the same time, Alex is a genius at GM so nothing surprises me with success of Davos.  But, Davos is about to lose to Riga so it was good while it lasted for Davos.

David Jokinen.  Do I need to say why?  OK, I will….  @Ahma bleeds Davos purple so there is no one else who is as dedicated to Davos than Ahma.  I mean, if you listened to the latest podcast you would know its a waste of time for any other team to even look at Ahma’s players.

OH, it has to be Vancouver Wolves.  This rivalry has been created by me and its in my head only.  Every team is a rivalry to me.

Nothing in particular.  I kind of liked the prep to get into the big leagues..  could have even bumped it up another 100 tpe and keep more players in the league.  I dont know exactly how things work so it’s nothing I really concern myself about though.

1) Obviously I was happy about beating Moscow, honestly it allowed me to eliminate Jacob.

Thanks for letting me crash your press conference.  Right now I feel Davos is in a good position to get their asses handed to them by the Wolves.  Other than that, go ahead and win games.

 

2. With the draft coming up, we currently sit at the 10th selection! What position do you think we need the most?

 

How do you replace a player like David Jokinen?  That is going to be your biggest challenge in the draft.

 

3. Did your player perform as you expected this season? 

 

Absolutely not.  My player didnt even get into one fight.  In fact, I believe whenever the fights started, my player hid on the bench.

 

4. Do you believe offseasons should be shorter? Or is this the perfect amount of time between each season?

 

I dont really care.  I’d like to earn more tpe so that my player is contributing more and getting into a couple scrapes.

 

5. Give us one aspiration/goal you have for S96! 

 

My biggest aspiration is to hit more, block more shots, and fight more.  Points and assists come with the game.

 

 

6. What piece of advice would you give a first-gen

 

Its all for fun, dont take anything seriously, and seek help often.  You will succeed if you follow those simple suggestions.

 

7. If you were an animal, what would it be and why?

 

I’d be a predator of the sea.  The great white shark.  It’d be pretty cool in the depth of the ocean checking out all the fish that I could be eating.

 

8. Have you ever traveled internationally? If so, to what countries?

 

Of course….  I’ve been to Canada, the states, and Mexico.  But in virtual hockey I’ve traveled the world.

AKK has been putting the team on his back, a decent backup could be good to roundup the base.

Not at all. Underperformed tremendously, sadly.

A week is good. Anything more loses interest.

Do better with my character and really go into overdrive on tpe.

Itll be boring at first, but give it some time and it'll become boring and tedious.

Yup, didn't do much in the VHLM in the few games I spent there.

Offseasons do get a bit boring, but to be honest I think the length is just fine.

Get drafted to Davos next draft

6. What piece of advice would you give a first-gen VHLer?

Be active, talk to people, find your footing in the community and enjoy!

7. If you were an animal, what would it be and why?

Probably a tortoise, I'd be chillin, slowly livin life. Or a wolverine, because ahma means wolverine in Finnish.

I've been to Gran Canaria, so Spain and then to Sweden multiple times. Turku - Stockholm ruotsinlaiva risteily for the win.

Feeling really positively. Getting as far as we did puts us ahead of our timeline honestly, and I think we just keep growing together from here.

 

2. With the draft coming up, we currently sit at the 10th selection! What position do you think we need the most?

Honestly, we're really in a position where it's best player available. Maybe defense I suppose with Laas getting up there in age, but I think a talented player who fits in the LR is paramount.

 

3. Did your player perform as you expected this season? 

Bucatini did - I knew it would be very tough to keep up with my rookie season's 93 point pace, but averaging more than a PPG during the playoffs was nice to see.

 

4. Do you believe offseasons should be shorter? Or is this the perfect amount of time between each season?

I'm good with two weeks. It gives a bit of hype for things like the draft and even the end of the playoffs, and lets people recharge before the next season. The alternative is something like the SBA does with starting the offseason events during the playoffs, but I think that just takes away interest from everything going on.

 

6. What piece of advice would you give a first-gen VHLer?

Don't take everything super seriously. The point of sim leagues is to be fun, and it's fun to engage and go hard with jobs and interest. But if you feel yourself being burned out, it's OK to step back for a bit.

 

8. Have you ever traveled internationally? If so, to what countries?

I have! And honestly more in the past 8-ish years than my whole life before that. In that time, been to Canada, Mexico, England/Scotland, Spain, Bolivia, Bonaire, Vietnam and Cambodia. Probably doing China and who knows what else next year.

Next season we gonna find a way to get to the Cup final, I feel it!

Forward probably? We gonna have 4 active defenseman next season, but maybe a defenseman to replace to older ones?

 

3. Did your player perform as you expected this season? 

Yes I think so! Point per game player and some really good stats in the VHLE (rip). Now ready for the VHL.

I think it's good. Just wish the off season can have some special tasks like the SHL do.

 

5. Give us one aspiration/goal you have for S96! 

I would love being in the top 5 rookies at my position. With the team we have I think I can have a good one.

Only to the US, and never by plane. I'm on the East side so Boston, New York and all the big cities until Florida haha!
