1. We're dead split 5-5-0 in 10 games into the season. How is the locker room morale so far? Are spirits high?
2. It's getting chilly in Philly! How are we beginning to dress for games? What's the outfits looking like?
3. We have some great matchups this week, including one against the top team in the West in San Diego. How are you and the team preparing?
4. What's your favorite fall flavor? Pumpkin spice, chai, apple pie?
5. With Tyler, The Creator dropping next week, what new music are you guys excited for?
6. It's almost Halloween. How will you be celebrating the spooky holiday? Any trick or treating happening?

1. I think spirits are still good. It is a long season and we have a long way to go.

 

2. A toque is a must for pre-game attire, but on ice, we get pretty warm, so just a thermal shirt, maybe a turtleneck, will do.

 

3. Just play our game and we will be fine. I try not to focus on who we play and just be consistent.

 

4. I am a pumpkin guy so anything pumpkin works.

 

5. I am an old-school music guy, so new music is not my thing.  I just need so good 80's alternative to get me going.

 

6. I am not a Halloween person, so no big plans for me. I will just hand out candy so my house doesn't get egged.

   play harder than them

   eats lots of spaghetti in the bath every game day
4. How are you planning on celebrating Halloween?
   dressing up as the main character from my favorite show
5. What's your favorite Halloween costume you've ever worn?
   i LOVE snoopy so much!!!!

   neither, pie is bad... cake is better.

1. I think the team is positive and really coming together. Overall, I believe that we're all happy where we are and where we are going.

 

2. Stay the course. Keep doing what works.

 

3. I am pretty simple, try to sleep in a bit, wake up to a good size breakfast, then morning stretches followed by some off-ice conditioning.

 

4. Quietly...  I am not a big Halloween person.

 

5. I had a super detailed steampunk costume that I have used for multiple Halloween parties.

 

6. Pumpkin pie...  no question.  I like apple pie, but pumpkin is way better.

1.  Philadelphia made no moves at the trade deadline, and we lost Wefernardo Mackingus to Inactivity.  Does this concern you?

2.  It has been a low scoring season for nearly all VHLM players, has your player been playing up to expectations?

3.  As of today, we are the first team to clinch a playoff spot!  Are you excited to get back to the playoffs and defend our title?

4.  Which NHL or VHL player do you model your player after?

5.  We do play an attacking playstyle; do you think we can be even more aggressive at the expense of defense, or play more defensive minded?  Defense does win championships, they say...

6.  What do you think the team's outlook would look like after this season is over?  Are you planning on returning an improved player?

1. Personally, I don't have any concerns, if the team plays well they play well, if they don't they don't.

2. Unfortunately my player has not been playing up to my expectations, and it's nothing on the team, not at all, I just need to focus on what's necessary for my player.

3. Well, it's my first playoffs so I'm definitely excited, I'm not sure if my player will even get a start with his stats.

4. I'm trying to build my player into a bit of a Tuukka Thomas, a hybrid between Boston Bruins legends Tuukka Rask and Tim Thomas.

5. I'd say a few more defensive plays wouldn't hurt, but also being aggressive on all plays is great, you gotta make sure no one turns the puck over.

6. I think with our team, and looking at other teams, the team could go back to back, I believe in the guys to get their job done, and I'll do mine as a benchwarmer haha.

1. Not really, we've been a solid team with solid players thus far. I still think we make a very deep run.

2. Actually yes. I always start slow, but I'm leading the league in goals and points!

3. SO stoked. If we can win back-to-back cups we might go down as a dynasty in the VHLM which is hard to do!

4. No one. I always utilize @Pifferfish for some build help, then make tiny adjustments on my own.

5. It seems like offense always reigns supreme in the VHL/VHLM, so I have no problem pushing it further.

6. I wish I could return so we could 3 peat, but I will be in DC with the Dragons. I'll root for you guys though!

1. I think we are in really good shape.  We are top of the league and playing well.  No concerns here.

 

2. I am not playing as well as I would like, but I did expect my numbers to go down since a lot of talent was being brought back in with the closure of the VHLE.

 

3. Absolutely.  There is much more competition and the standings are close, but I am excited to see how we do.

 

4. I am trying to model after Peter Bondra.  I loved his playing style and how he took charge of his position.

 

5. I would not change a good thing, especially as we move into the playoffs.

 

6. I think we are going to lose some players as they advance in their careers.  I am hoping that I can improve enough to move up to the VHL over the off-season, but if I am still here, I hope to put up some better numbers.
