Seattle isn't that good so them beating Calgary is a huge upset. A representation of how this playoff series actually went. The second round of the NA playoffs is over, and get your brooms out, The Bears are going to the finals! A quik breakdown of how we got here follows. Thanks to Calgary for a good series, and for making this analysis easy on me since there aren't that many games to go through. A word to both Malmo and Riga, congratulations on getting as far as you have and for keeping the series' interesting. We in Seattle are looking forward to facing your victor. May the best team win. These are the factors that allowed the Bears to dominate this series, in no particular order. The Immovable Object Ray Funkz, Seattle Bears MVP, man of action, and resident brick wall. What can you say beyond this. In the four-game series against Calgary, @Rayzor_7 posted an absolutely mad 0.5 GAA and an untouchable 62 saves on 64 shots for an 0.969 SV%. Reaffirming himself as the best goalie in the league, Funkz posted two shutouts through four games and was the backbone of The Bears' defense. He currently sits as The Bears' playoff MVP. The crazy thing about Ray is he's only set to improve. He's already proven himself as the most reliable goalie on the team, and is set to be potentially the best player in the league as he develops in concert with his teammates and peers. And in front of him we've got... The Forcefield The Wranglers were held to a mere 16 shots on goal on average per game, roughly half of what would be expeected in a normal VHL game. There were zero goals in five-on-five play, with both coming when key Bears first-shift penalty killers Henrik Zoiderberg and Joel Ylonen @Esso2264 were in the sin bin. When at even strength, The Bears were perfect. Part of this is as a result of the shut-down defensive game and the complex system employed by GM-of-the-year frontrunner @Banackock What's more, the Bears are able to execute on this system without giving up any of their offensive prowess, with an average of 3.75 goals per game, this brings us to.... The Big Guns John Frostbeard - 2 goals, 5 assists Acyd Burn - 1 goal, 5 assists Scott Greene - 4 goals, 3 assists Three Bears went out for a skate one day. A little cowboy girl entered their rink without permission, placed her lasso on the chair, sat in goal, and began to take their shots. First she took shots from Scott Greene @DoktorFunk, "Oh goodness, this is far too many goals". So she went over and squared up against Acyd Burn @Acydburn, "Oh dear, this is far too many assists". Finally she faced the mighty John Frostbeard @FrostBeard, "This is far too many of both!" And it was just right. Stay gold, Wranglers. 540 Words TPE for week ending November 3 FrostBeard, DoktorFunk, Rayzor_7 and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/71620-bears-versus-wranglers/ Share on other sites

It’s actually original material mixed with a little bit of sass because of a comment from a Wrangers member... If we win the cup..haha... well, that I’ve been sitting on that one since 1999 it feels.
