Moose and @Spartan shoot on the new announcement from commissioners, ponder how it could've been handled differently, and what could still be done to make it work. This along with much more on what we had hoped would be a 30 minute podcast that went 116.

Edit: Forgot my #BoldasFuck @BOG tag. lol

Really? Who’s actually in charge here?

The blues. BoG is a discussion group, available if the blues feel like they need to run ideas by some other members before going through with them, but the blues have the final call on every decision.

The final three are the commissioners, then there's some inner circle of blues (mostly current and former commissioners) then there's the BOG.

Our point may have been to involve the BoG more in changes like these, as they'd provide fresher perspectives that isn't just "bah, new-fangled Discord."

It a singular test for a couple of weeks, since when does that qualify as “changes”? The BOG has already started discussing a few things to come out of that announcement, it’s doing it’s job. If this was intended as an actual permanent change we likely would have mentioned it to them but we aren’t going to bring up every small community test we have planned with the BOG, it would just be wasting everyone’s time.

Thats fair.

Seems like a weird trend that everything that doesn't go through BOG seems to get complained about.  Maybe just coincidence though.  Makes sense tho since its a test.
