Moscows draft, and some other Moscow stuff!
Victor replied to Telkster's topic in Archived Media Spots
Show them the Moscow way Telker! -
That has been the case for the past 3 seasons so (and I, again, did not vote NY, even though I probably should at this point). Dunno about that one.

Is it even a Sunday if I didn't tag all VHL members in a league-wide poll? Last season, a small but significant majority of members correctly predicted Helsinki and New York would miss the playoffs: https://vhlforum.com/topic/79366-who-will-miss-the-playoffs-in-s71/ A few brave souls even thought Moscow might, smh. Last season, it was a reasonably safe prediction to assume Toronto and Davos wouldn't be hugely involved in the playoff race. This season we can assume the same about Toronto and Malmo. Of the other 10 teams, which 2 will be unfortunate enough to miss out in S72? @Members

Updated OP and portal on assumption Bana accepts.

pitchforks out sees join date Ok we'd definitely seen better days.

@Banackock @FrostBeard just say what the new deal is, it's much less manual hassle to just change a couple details than the full trade.

ffs gonna have to trade gorlab now

I think I like the 1st move on the balance. Or specifically in your situation. I don't think Toronto can keep waiting for your 1 pick per draft because you'll never built a competitive roster that way. And who knows what the NA conference looks like in S73, maybe you overtake some teams. Kachur.... yeah, yikes. These things happen, it's just with the Legion having so few pieces to work with you basically have to get every pick right. But who knows what happens, you tend to overthink the details in the moment and then you look back and so many bad trades made a negligible impact or actually worked out quite nicely. Ultimately you only need about 5 good players in the right positions at the right time to succeed and you're probably not that far off. That said, Toronto always has its success in spurts so I'm not holding out hope for you this decade.

Thoughts On The Job Changes + Most Improved Player
Victor replied to Tagger's topic in Archived Media Spots
I don't Wahl had a single All-VHL appearance until this season so in theory never a top 2 goalie in the league. Also seemed to be on the decline in S70 so bounced back in a big way. And I'd argue even if Wahl was in fact among the best in one of those Calgary seasons, the numbers themselves weren't that impressive ergo it was just being good in a bad goaltending year. I think it's definitely not a traditional winner of the Funk I'll give you that, but given how low most skaters' point improvements were, the traditional metrics probably were likelier to be overlooked in S71 compared to most seasons. -
Thoughts On The Job Changes + Most Improved Player
Victor replied to Tagger's topic in Archived Media Spots
The Funk was an interesting one this season for sure. I do believe there was no standout skater and Wahl did have quite clearly his best season even if it was after a solid career. I think improving from OK to the best player in the league is still a valid reason to win it. -
