I was wondering how much people expected me to draft a goalie. I had reached out to all 3 main names before the draft (muffins, Bernard, Ross), but wasn't sure if any of them ever mentioned Moscow speaking to them. Good to drop a draft day surprise though. (It was also why I was keen on trading down from 5th as I was gonna pick a goalie there regardless but that would have been a bit off the board)

It was a lost battle before I even wrote this, having seen the award committee discussion around it. Maybe it swayed a vote or two but probably not.

Disappointed but not surprised. Awards Committee in its current guise does not lend itself to sufficiently nuanced discussion and is not fit for purpose.

Trade - A player can be traded to a GM's team so long as the trade is made at fair market value. No trades which bypass the Free Agency restriction above, such as a sign and trade, will be allowed. Additionally, the same rules as drafting apply where a GM cannot force another GM to trade them by way of threats or other malicious actions. All trades made where a member ends up with two players on the same team will be reviewed by the Commissioners and can be vetoed.

He's still got a full season before FA and there's contenders with the cap space to take him on.

This is also why I maintain that playoffs should be taken into consideration for the top GM vote.
