  1. Shame Sinclair will not grace the playoffs with his presence this season.
  2. Bring back the off-season ASG!
  3. Everyone loses.
  4. 8 shots huh? How about some good ol' v1 on your asses?
  5. Is now open! Numbers 1 to 4 please. Part B this week may be my best yet.
  6. here and here. Probably other places where it's harder to find. Like draft threads.
  7. The deadline has passed and the results are in! But first, the answers... Part A: 1. What is the latest pick (in terms of draft position (e.g. 13th overall)) in all 47 VHL drafts to have won a Continental Cup? (Credit to Kendrick) ANSWER: You need not go through many drafts to find this as quite predictably, the S1 draft had the strangest combination of busts and steals by its nature of being the inaugural draft. Shawn Howard, drafted 40th overall, who you will know now as StevenStamkos91, was quite a find for Calgary, although he missed out on their cups in S2 and S3 and instead got his ring with Helsinki near the end of his career. 2. How many captains from Season 1 retained their captaincy for the following season? (Credit to Velevra) ANSWER: Keeping up the S1 theme of unpredictability, naturally the end of the season saw lots of turnover as GMs and captains thought to be leaders at first failed to deliver. Only three players retained the captaincy and all ended up being Hall of Famers, in Calgary's Scott Boulet, Vasteras' Scotty Campbell, and Hamilton's David Night. 3. How many players have reached the glorious 1000 PIM mark in their VHL careers? (Credit to jRuutu) ANSWER: 46 in 46 seasons which is quite nice and hopefully Tyler Cote makes it 47 in 47 this season. There's always that one goon in the league and some did it by accident while others, like Edwin Encarnacion and Da'Brickashaw O'Neal, embraced their PIMming. Career stats here: http://www.vhlforum.com/index.php?/topic/347-vhl-career-stats-updated-for-s46/ 4. How many players won league MVP more than once? (Credit to gorlab) ANSWER: Just seven, with three (trophy's namesake Scotty Campbell, Grimm Jonsson and reigning winner Thomas O'Malley) doing it thrice. Part B: What is the only team name to have been used by teams in two different cities at different points in VHL history? ANSWER: Oh I loved this as soon as I thought of it. The answer is Thunder for those confused, which was held by two now defunct franchises. Stockholm, not the one today, was called the Thunder in S1 (another example of the short-termism of S1) before becoming the Rams and then moving to Riga. Madrid, which was the short-term failed home of Vasteras, as in the Vasteras which became Stockholm today (keep up), also had a team called the Thunder from S16 to S20 before it was put down permanently. The Thunder could not survive on two occasions but will Stockholm have better fortune on its second attempt? Both Thunder and Stockholm attached themselves to Vasteras and this is quite a lethal combination. Maybe Sweden is just a bad idea. And their gods. 1 capped TPE goes to: Ahma fever95 JardyB10 Kendrick Smarch sterling Streetlight STZ Velevra 1 uncapped TPE goes to: Kendrick Velevra jRuutu gorlab You may start sending in your numbers from 1 to 4 for week five now, the deadline will be the same as usual next Saturday. Tomorrow I'll make an official post to open week 5 when I put together some questions. also, time to reveal this...
  8. I blame v2
  9. banned
  10. who's this we, all the fans left yesterday. They've only started defending properly in the last few games, interestingly ever since Stones got injured. I'm not convinced by him tbh, and am happy Chelsea didn't spend crazy money on him. Even with all of this season's struggles.
  11. It's an outlier nobody thought was possible before this season. I'm quite interested where they go from here. Most surprise winners of the English top flight are now nowhere near it. Leicester will have the benefit of lots of CL money and a richer Prem, and they do have Thai backing and I'd be very pleased if they managed to stick around with the big boys.
  12. should've called it the Olympic Line. Missed opportunity.
  13. Cat. Hockey player. Legend.
  14. ur a faget
  15. what have I missed

  17. It would be the biggest shock possibly in football ever. There is so much money at the top that it should be virtually impossible for anyone to break into it. Leicester just being in the Champions League next season is mind-boggling. But awesome because it's nice to know money can't buy everything.
  18. Leicester wtf how. Bottom of the league, seven points from safety last March. How in the name of Harry Kane is this happening? Not even an underdog victory, genuinely the best football in the Premier League week in and week out.
