  1. @Banackock Damn bro you see this performance!?
  2. screw it ill throw my name in the hat..
  3. I don't think anyone thought we'd be in the position we are right now for Season 62. We currently have two players completely blasting off and taking their extreme talents to a whole new level. Podrick Cast is heavily making a name for himself after a pretty strong rookie season. Currently, he's set to be heading into the record books and sits at 152 points in 64 games played. In my eyes, that alone will have him largely throwing his hat or ticket in the slots of the hall of fame. Then, we flip the tables and take a look at another player who is completely wrecking it this season too. Vyacheslav Smirnov is currently in his rookie season and currently has 31 more points than Cast did in his rookie season. Smirnov has come out of the gates swinging and it's surprisingly nice to see considering most of the Banackock's agency players seem to rest somewhere around the 85-100 point range. My thoughts on this matter are, if he's already sitting at 55 goals, 73 assists and 128 points through 64 games in his rookie season, next year could be a really amazing season for Smirnov is he is somehow to elevate his game even further. Though, my thoughts are also on the side of that he's going to be hitting his ceiling this season and this is about as good as it gets. Some may look at it and say, "wow, if he is this good already, I can't imagine next season if he follows Casts play" (which he very well could), but I don't think this is going to happen and you can expect him to be a 100+ point guy for the remainder of his career for the most part. Another detail in Smirnov's career that makes this season a little frightful is that it's totally unexpected. Last season with the Oslo Storm he managed 22 goals, 26 assists and 48 points through the 72 games played in the VHLM. This is the VHLM - a league where players like this and players who show a high level of effort and commitment absolutely dominate. BUT, he did not and that's what sort of blows my mind. He's literally gone from 48 points in the league minor league/development system to having basically tripled that shit in the most competitive league, on a mediocre at best organization. Smirnov came into the team hoping for the best and will be leaving the season as the Rookie of the Year in my opinion and there could also be special thanks given to Matt Thompson and Sergei Kovalev on the team. Both players have had some pretty strong season and could largely be contributing to Vyacheslav Smirnov's lit season. To cake the season off, I see Smirnov ending up with the mid 130's for points. I know he's likely expecting a little bit more, but he's seemingly slowed down the last little while and I expect this trend to continue. Basically since getting Shepherd they've slowed down and it could be because he was bumped off the 1st line. For next season, who knows what's in store, but I'm excited to play along with him and see what he can do. Special week +16 TPE Claim September 17 to 23
  4. 1. Think you guys will win the Championship this year? 2. How is Halifax progressing? 3. Hows the Locker-room ? active ? 4. Any trades in the works? 5. Favorite Hockey movie? +1 Kovalev
  5. Team Asia had a very good push this year. Forward Sergei Kovalev did not expect to be the team leader in points. Guess everything happens for a reason! Kovalev is hoping that eventually he will make a player that will enter the HoF. Will that be this player? Only time will tell. Seattle Bears has definitely drafted a good prospect as a later steal. @Banackock is starting to notice that he did not make a mistake this time around. Other GM's are also starting to see that they made a mistake by not taking Kovalev. Not everyone has noticed the potential that Kovalev is capable of except for general manager @Banackock. Oslo Storm are currently working through a re-build. The team is gaining some potential prospects that will help run for the cup with the team. In the upcoming draft the Storm have some good picks to pick up some great players and they are already looking at who to draft.
