How did I not knowing who any single person I drafted is or was and only looked at last season's stats came in 4th place... As a first timer and you all more experienced than me. I am not sure if I should feel pride in my 4th place finish or not.

Viktor Alexei Kamenov /Free Agent | Defencemen Overview It was a very odd situation for the youngster who originally joined the league as Thomas Moore a boring simple Canadian who lived in border city Windsor, ON Canada. However, the massive 6' 8" defencemen revealed a secret to the league during the season he signed as a late joiner with the VHLm's Mexico City Kings. That secret was his new name and even though the paperwork is not official, I will be writing this task under that name. Kamenov is in a strange spot as even though he joined late to the Kings organization management and his peers felt he had the ability to hold the mantle of leadership and was named one of the three alternate captains of the team as they felt with three great talents it was better to share that duty then to designate one as a captain. Kamenov was thrilled to join the Mexico City Kings. During the season the young big defencemen put up 8 goals, 29 assists for a total of 37 points. The hard part for Kamenov was that when he joined the Kings he was expecting to have a poor first season on a losing team on top pairing role instead of being a 2nd or 3rd pairing defencemen on a contender. He learned a lot about himself this season and made some great friends in Mexico City. So you know loyalty is something you will get with Kamenov if you treat him right. As of now, Kamenov sits 11th in VHLM Dispersal Draft rankings and 21st in VHL Draft rankings however with Kamenov he wants to prove to everyone that even though he joined late and others who joined much later than him as long as you treat him right he will treat you right. Strengths Kamenov as we all know his biggest strength is his height and that is something you simply cannot teach coming in at 6' 8", weighing 210 pounds. This lighter weight yet massively tall defender is the one you want on the back end quarterbacking your power play as he has a rocket of a shot. As well, he knows how to play defence pretty well considering he was late to the league and a -66 with Mexico City Kings. Many believe that was not Kamenov's fault but a lack of star power on a team that was looking towards the future. Kamenov was also challenged this season to work on one of his biggest weaknesses which was his skating by his agent and he has found himself a pretty solid skater. He's a big mobile offensive defencemen and that is something all teams should look into. Weaknesses/Opportunities Kamenov even though he is huge he does not really use his body as much as he should to take the puck off the opposition which hurts his defensive game which he has been working on it all season.He understands he is not the worlds greatest player but that is why he believes all weaknesses are opportunities with the right group to help develop his raw skill. He's been slowly working at it and his puck handling skills but most importantly his passing ability as those are his biggest weaknesses at the moment. I know that many players do not like admitting their weaknesses as weakness especially around the corner from the draft but Kamenov knows he is not the top guy in the draft but hopes to help you and the team move forward. Future Goals Kamenov like most youngsters want to become one of the most dominating defencemen from his draft class which for him it means putting in the work and not expecting to be handed the opportunity right from training camp. He wants to earn it and earn the opportunity to help lead a team. He also long term wants to be able to throw a proper body check that will help his team get the puck in a different way compared to many finesse players.

I will not sign a contract with your organization IF you address me in any fashion as Thomas Moore, whether its through private messages/emails and most importantly call me up in the draft as Thomas Moore. If you draft me as Thomas Moore I will deem myself not part of your organization as you did not correctly use my name and I will be open to any other team for a deal. Kamenov Journal Entry - So Damn Bored To the amazing fans of the Mexico City Kings, first and foremost I want to write to you today about how I am feeling after finally completing my first and potentially only time in Mexico City. I have lots of time so here are some rambling thought I have today. After coming out with a name change (need to update sig for that - i know).. but Viktor Kamenov is extremely bored right now. He had joined the Mexico City organization through the PBE Affiliation agreement and has had so far a good time around he league working out in the gym space the team has provided. How can you not feel amazing in Mexico City. However with what felt like an extremely late join and a quick exit with the Kings this now dragged out off season just feels so empty. It's not a wonder people could easily fall asleep during this time of isolation and sleep through the next season. As a minor leaguer not in the playoffs there needs to be something more for us. We aren't allowed outside unless we are playing within the VHLm games so maybe call me crazy but what about something like a minor league all star game? We have a majors all star game which in my opinion I did not vote in it as I had no clue who anyone was and as a minor leaguer I had no interest in looking at them. They are the current and now. I am the future so I rather be focused on the future and most importantly my future. So what about my future am I more focused on? That is quite simple and that is my future VHLm team and where I will be going in that draft. I will be honest and state that I know for sure I am not good enough at this stage of my career to get called up to the major league teams now. So, why worry about them so much. I know at this rate I have only received one generic draft questionnaire from a major league team so maybe that goes to show maybe the lack of interest is two way. So, when we do not know when either of the drafts I will be in will be as nothing is officially posted about them. I am quite confused about where my future lies and what will happen. At this moment there is nothing enticing me to keep coming back to the gym besides being bored at home. We need a schedule, we need some different activity as sorry... what's happening now is boring. For a retention aspect why not let all minor league teams in something new. So there you have it folks. That is how I am feeling at this very moment in an update to my long off season. Yes, I know technically it is not the off season in the league but getting eliminated so fast from playing contention and then just napping through not being able to enjoy the Mexican beaches because of the law of the land here as it's not an essential trip. It's so ughhh... let's face it being cooped up after announcing my identity to the league and still waiting for those changes to be applied and stuck in Mexico City not able to go outside. So damn hard to be honest. 2. Who do you think is going to go on to win the VHLM cup? Not a clue to be honest.. if it isn't Mexico City.. why bother watching 3. If you went up right now, which VHL team would you want to play for? Not a clue, I came here first before checking my email to see if anyone would actually want me. 4. What are your goals for next season? With how little training I got compared to some others in my draft class. I feel its best I return to the minors for another season or two. 5. If you had to switch positions right now, what would you switch to? Being a 6 foot 8 defender is fun but if I had to switch. I would be a centerman or a goalie. 6. Do you have any good youtube videos you've been watching lately? I've been nerding it out and watching people play video games. I need a new gaming computer to be able to keep up so to get my fix since I can't afford a new one now. I've just been watching people play games. Yes I know... NERD

1. How do you feel about missing the playoffs? It sucks the big one but in all honesty. I knew it was bound to happen. I took this 'free season' as one for development as I will finally get to be drafted into the VHLm and VHL this upcoming offseason. 2. Where do you see yourself landing in the VHLM dispersal draft? (or the VHL draft). In the VHLm I can see myself in the 2nd-3rd round with so much new talent already surpassing me in TPE with an established history. In the VHL, I honestly do not know. I haven't been reached out to by any clubs and I keep getting surpassed by s73 players from the get go due to current rules. 3. Who were Mexico's top players this season? The top players I believe in Mexico were Kamenev, Rose and Hylands 4. What are your thoughts on the new "latecomer" TPE rules? My idea... I wish I got to benefit from it HA HA HA... but it's something the league needed to do to attempt to balance out the fact so many people can retire and recreate and already get 100+ TPE from day one. 5. What stonk are you investing in next week? I am now classified as an alumni so I do not know if I will be able to keep buying firearms. It may not be the best investment especially if I land in a place I won't be able to bring them with me 6. What's you favourite fast food restaurant and why is it McDonalds? Micky D's is considered bad food but they upped their game so I like it. The one item I like is the Quarter Pounder BLT. It's yummy

It felt like a perfect time in order to get a few things off his chest and follow up after a unique partial season he had with Mexico City. Thomas Moore approaches the podium and begins to speak. "Ladies and Gentlemen of the press. I am glad you have taken the time out of your busy schedules to allow me this opportunity to talk to you today. I must admit I have been hiding a major secret that I have been hiding my entire life and I feel now is the time to share that secret and to explain why I held this secret for quite some time to be honest." Moore breathes a heavy sigh of relief as he sits down on the stage up close with the press. "I'm going to tell it straight up and be honest with you. You were here when we played such terrible hockey and I feel maybe part of my terrible defensive play was because I kept hiding a huge secret since I moved to Canada. Yes, that is correct ladies and gentlemen. I was not born in Canada. I was born in Moscow, Russia and then a few days later after the doctors had determined it was safe. My parents had then been assigned to Canada to work in a sleeper cell, you see. My parents are former KGB and they came to Canada waiting to be recalled and they never were." Moore continues after taking a short pause. "They came to Canada and took on new identities my father being name Michael and my mother name Kristen where they named me Thomas just so we can fit in without anyone knowing. My parents were however killed in a recent accident and with added protection provided by the league... It is time to announce that my real name and one I would like to proudly be referred to moving forward is.... Viktor Alexei Kamenov. Yes, ladies and gentlemen of the press. I lived this life for 18 years and now is the time that I shed my old image and come to terms with this revelation and the first thing that would help me in being able to do this is my long time American friend and professional ball player JJ Windsor. He sat down with me and essentially told me "Kid, it's time to you be you. You need to honor your folks and the life they gave up for you in order to get a better life as Russia was not an easy place to live. It's your time to now shine as the Russian you are and make sure you do not forget it."
