love this... need to use more often

[TORONTO] It was only two seasons ago when Jimi Jax was uncertain about his future with the Toronto Legion. Following a Continental Cup in S91 and strong run in S92, it seemed as though time was running short for the Legion’s chance at being competitive. The potential to trade Jax for futures was speculated, but after much thought, Jax wanted to be in Toronto regardless and was confident that the Legion could be competitive in his last few VHL years. This prediction was indeed accurate, as the Legion finished second place in the NA Conference in S93 (albeit a disappointing playoff push) and have clinched the Victory Cup as they head into round 1 of the S94 playoffs. In addition to the teams performance, Jax finished the season with league leading 62 goals and 131 points – the most points by a player since S82 (Justin Lose). It is expected that Jax will be finalist the for the Slobodzian trophy, but to the American forward – the jobs not finished. “I really didn’t expect to have such a great year” the year 8 veteran mentioned after the final practice before playoffs. “It’s not to be able to contribute to the team in a big way, I felt really good this season – but to me, the job isn’t finished, and we’re going to try and win it again this year”. The Legion were ousted in 4 by the championship winning DC Dragons last season, but are hopeful for a stronger push in S94.

RIGA REIGN PRESS CONFERENCE July 7th, 2024 1. We finished off the season in third place, edging out Warsaw to avoid the wildcard, how does that feel as a player? 2. What are you paying attention to the most in this wildcard round? 3. How do you keep yourself game-ready with a few days off before the first round? 4. Who do you think will need to be our unsung hero to get through Malmo in the first round of the playoffs? 5. After a full season, what do you think your player has improved on the most? 6. Do you think the NHL Offseason has any more big trades in store?

It's been a while since I reviewed a Steve graphic, but this is by far a lot better than the graphics I last reviewed. Not that those graphics were bad, but you have significantly improved. The lighting you have in this really makes everything blend together well. The jersey change is perfect with the shadows and effects on the Moscow logo, same with the VHL logo on the collar. The text is nicely placed, and I like the red/blue theme you have for this even though its outside of the Moscow color palette. The render is blended really well in with the background, and I like the moon added in which gives this a lot of depth. I think the renders face might have too much of a sharpness filter, but still the best sig I've seen from you. 9.75/10

Review There are multiple elements that I really like in this sig. The first thing that stands out for me is the clean jersey change. The adjustment you made to the shade of yellow matches the Ottawa Lynx logo and color theme perfectly. The logo itself is nicely placed and blended in well (i.e, doesn't look like a sticker). The next thing I like about this is the text, specifically the gradient and 3D look on the last names. The first name text is great too as it doesn't stand out too much. One thing I would have liked to see, is the text moved to the bottom to blend in a bit better with the renders. Lastly, the small details you have added to this shoes some creativiity and effort put in. This includes the faded stroke around the render, and the grunge details in the background. Nice Job. 8.75/10

RIGA REIGN PRESS CONFERENCE June 30th, 2024 1. We had a pretty good week and currently sit third in the conference (with a game out of hand). How important is it to stay above the wildcard round? 2. We have almost double the goal differential of Warsaw (+46 vs +24) despite being just one point apart - do you think that's just some tough luck more than anything? 3. With the playoffs (wildcard or not) all but guaranteed - what is the focus for these last 7 games of the season? 4. By next press conference, we will be well into the playoff round, who would you award the team MVP for this season? 5. Are you keeping your eye on the standings for other teams playoff placement - any particular team you're focusing on? 6. Are you keeping up with the NHL offseason and player movement - what has been the most surprising thing so far for you?

This is a nicely laid out graphic and my favorite part is the jersey change. I'm going to guess this is a Duncan Keith Oilers render, so the red effects to represent the flames of the Bulls works really well here. The logo is also perfectly blended in to the point where it looks like the original picture. The blurred background (along with the lighting and filters) really makes the render pop, and the black-lined logo blends well into the sharp red background. I do like the text, but think it should be a bit bigger, and not spaced out so much. The shade of red probably should be a bit closer to the bulls red, but that's minor. Overall this is a pretty nice graphic that fits in with the theme week. 8.5/10

Pretty unique design on this one Hogan. I like how you have the text laid out within the design of the background. The colors in the background line up well with the Ottawa Lynx color scheme, and I notice you put some color over the render to try and get it to blend. The render is a little too far to the right for me, and I think it would have been better if you moved everything to the left (so that the point where the colors meet together are actually off the canvas to the left). Overall a pretty clean with with some creative text and good effort on the layout. 8.25/10

RIGA REIGN PRESS CONFERENCE June 23rd, 2024 1. The gap in standings have increased since last week as we now hold a 27 pt lead for the last wildcard spot. Does it take some pressure off the team knowing this? 2. What does the team need to do to take over Warsaw for 3rd in the division and avoid the wildcard? 3. We now have 0 current players with a negative +/-, what has the team done collectively to ensure they are on for more goals at 5on5? 4. Leading scorer Skor McFleury has 71 points in 53 games. Do you think he can get 32 points in the remaining 21 games for a personal season record? 5. What is your personal goal as a player for the remaining 21 games of the season? 6. What do you miss the most when you travel on the road?

I enjoy the amount of work you put into the jersey changes Subject. I'm assuming this was the old Avs third jersey, so the first thing that sticks out to me is the red adjustment. The effect you have on the jersey logo really makes it blend into the sweater - and the clay filter you have applied to the render really works here. I think last week you had a similar graphic with a London logo in the background with cool effects - and this week its a similar situation, but with a different effect that's just as cool. I like the stroke you have applied to it and the glow that it gives off. Similar to last week, I think a bit more can be done with the text, but still a 6 point worthy graphic. 8.75/10 Cheers!

Love this one. The creativity that went into this gets a lot of bonus points. It's hard to try and use a logo for your canvas shape but you seemed to have pulled it off nicely. The render is blended in nicely on all sides and the fire effect helps with that. I like the way you have lighting around the face to bring it out as the focal point, and the filters applied makes the edges off the logo look pretty clean. I think it would have been nice to add some texture/depth to the text at the bottom, but at least it doesn't take a way too much focus towards the middle. 8.5/10

We're over half way through the season now - do you think your player is at their peak now or is there still room for adjustment? 3. Red Panda has a 0.924 save percentage - which is just 0.02 away from the top 5. Do you think they'll be within the top 5 by end of season? 4. What would you think its the strongest asset to this team that keeps us competitive? 5. Any games on the travel bus/plane that the team plays which you like to get in on? 6. Summer is just around the corner, any vacations planned?

I think this is my favorite graphic that I've seen from you. The colors you used on this really stand out and its not easy to bring colors like that together in a graphic. The close-up render + full body render is a great idea and you have it laid out really well. My favorite part is the uneven openings you have drawn in where you have the face renders placed. The jersey changes are perfect that textures you've applied to this sig really bring everything together. It's very poster themed and with all the detail you have on this, its easy to tell you put a bit bit of work into this. 10/10

This is a pretty clean graphic. My favorite part of it has to be the background. It seems as though its the background of the original render, but the simply shade of blue and the faded logo is really what makes it - and the way the logo is overlayed blends in very well. I love the use of the Colorado jerseys for London, and love the effort you put into the jersey change and the logo on the plaque that he's holding. The text is nice and simple, but I think it seems a little too spaced from the render and could have been moved closer. There are no textures on this, but I don't think they are needed with the way you have the lighting. Nice Job! 8.75/10

What has been your favorite city to visit on the road so far this season and why? 6. Do you think the NHL is dragging out so long with the playoffs potentially not ending until late june?

The Canucks jerseys are perfect to use as a theme for the Gladiators - so good choice on that. This Pettersson render really makes the jersey change pretty flawless and clean. The background is simple, which is all it needs to be for this poster style graphic. Love the black and white coliseum with the red strip going down the middle. The yellow glowing text is what really brings this together though. It looks like one of those posters you see in the concourse of the arena. I think you should have put the players last name instead, but that's just being picky. Still a really clean and simple sig. 8.75/10

This is probably my favorite graphic from you, as it stands out as very unique and lots of detail. You have a render that fills out the sizing of the graphic, and the text is well chosen and blends so well. The pirate black bakground with some textures is all you need, and the filters you've applied to both the render and the general graphic is really what brings this together. You put a lot of effort into the jersey change with the color filters and the logo placements. Of course the eye patch is the cherry on top of a well structured sig. Good job! 9.75/10

The offseason consisted of picking up some McFleurys - how are they meshing with the team? 3. Have you shaken all the rust off yet from the offseason? 4. Kimi Raikkonen has 8 goals already - do you think hes going to get to 50 this year? 5. What's the expectation for your player this season? 6. Who do you think is winning the Stanley Cup - currently only 3 teams left.

[SCOTTSDALE] Following a 100-point season for a career high, Toronto Legion center Jimi Jax has already forgotten about last season and is ready to make another run in S94. Despite hitting the three digit mark for the first time in his career, the American star still looks at the year as a failure after his team got swept in the first round. “To me, nothing really matters other than winning. It’s always nice to know you’re individually contributing, but I just would love to win another Continental Cup this season”. Jax does not see the Legion’s short playoff trip as an omen to the future of Toronto, and hopes to use the shortcoming as motivation for the team next season. “We’ve been in this before, for a couple seasons before we won. We had some disappointing years before we got over the hump. I just feel like it’s the same situation, with an even better team”. In his 8th year, Jax is not expected to contribute to the team like he did in his prime, but with a younger core merging into place, he’s not worried about a decline for the team overall.

1. Well, the off-season is upon us. What are your goals to be better for S94? Win or bust really. We have a great squad and should be able to contend again this season. 2. We say goodbye to Steve Lattimer @pugsood who scored 141 points in 126 games for us. What are your parting words for him? Thanks for having some great seasons with us - you were a great teammate and wish you the best. 3. We welcome Nils Andersson @Viper and James MacAvoy @Enraged to the team. What do you want to tell them about this team? We are star studded and much more oriented to score by committee. Looking forward to going on a run with you. 4. What off-season tournament/event/fantasy draft are you most looking forward to and why? I'm already ready for training camp - not sure what else to look forward to. Lets start playing hockey! 5. Who's your NHL Eastern Conference pick to make it to the Final - Rangers or Panthers? I picked the Rangers in my pool to go to the finals and I'm going to stick to that. 6. Who's your NHL Western Conference pick to make it to the Final - Stars, Oilers, or Canucks? I originally picked the Oilers but they seem to have a bit of weakness exposed a few times. The Stars are on a heater.
