(TORONTO) It's been a long offseason with Davos winning their first championship in many seasons, but the Legion’s leading scorer of last season is using every minute he can to maximize his training and be ready for next season. Shortly after the Legion’s season ended, Jax took an immediate vacation to travel around Southeast Asia to take the mind off hockey – a routine he has continued after the devastating loss with Oslo back in his VHLE days. Jax is excited for this season, not for just himself but the Legion as a team. The team made a blockbuster deal this week, landing future HoFers Ronan Lavelle and Tomas Sogaard from Moscow. The trade puts the Legion as a likely contender in the NA conference in hopes to end a short playoff drought for a rebuilding squad. "This is probably the most confident this team will be heading into a season. Everybody’s healthy, feeling good and excited to have some veteran presence." Has Jax reached out to either Lavelle or Sogaard? “I sent a quick message to both welcoming them to the team, but not much else. Once the draft and free agency is over and we know who our complete team is going to be, I’ll get to know them a bit more in hopes to work together towards a championship”

Are you ready for summer to be over yet?

No it makes me more confident in next year that we can finally end the drought. 2. a trade alert! lets give a welcome AK to I guess.... A very familiar face that will help us take the next step. Nothing wrong with another veteran. 3. do you think this playoffs went pretty quick? Yea I do - especially since Riga got eliminated. No complaints though. 4. anything you look forward in this offseason? The draft - we have 4 picks in the first two rounds. A great little compliment to a pretty solid core ready to win. 5. a huge GM turnover in this offseason. Do you think GM'ing here is hard and leads to a burnout? Yea I really think it does. Only a couple people here built different to keep going for a while 6. Erik Karlsson indeed got traded. Your opinion on that trade? I think the Pens are maximizing the window they have, but not sure if it makes them a contender. Those guys are old and injury prone - will be intersting.

Sources say Istanbul has red wolves in the alternate universe that has been created as a product of a 16 year simulation hockey league.

I like this move but here is my unimportant opinion on the matter: The Istanbul Red Wolves probably have one of the best logos/branding across all three leagues, sad to see them be one of the teams that go.

1. Which North American team with make it to the Cup Final? Probably Seattle- they seem to have their mojo going this year. 2. Will that team win the Cup? If not which European team will be victorious? Riga Reign - no particular reason what so ever 3. Which player are you most interested in following in these playoffs? Lachlan Summers - they seem to be good in the clutch for a young goalie. 4. How much time do take off for the summer before delving back into your training routine? Usually about 2 to 3 weeks to do some traveling. 5. Are you a golfer? If so what's the best course you've played? There's a course called Mystic Creek in Arkansas that holds an LPGA tournament every year. Probably the nicest I've played. 6. If you're not a golfer, what is your off-season activity of choice and where is your favorite place to do said activity? Definitely still golfing lol.

*Speaking in 31 year old voice* If you have an SUV or car in the grocery store its nice to pull in frontward so you an load your items in the back without walking in between cars with them. If traffic is really annoying and you really just want to pull in your spot then pull frontwards for the quick escape from anxiety. All other occasions I always prefer to back-in... you are only benefitting yourself later by not having to back out.

Applying for the graphics job.

1. We back with the fixed up offense...and more or less decent defending too! Are we ready to win it all now? Finally love to see this team turn it around and make a run. As long as we can stay consistent we should be fine. 2. do you think the team needs anything in the trade deadline? I honestly don't think so - seems like this team is clicking and wouldn't want to ruin the chemistry. 3. do you think any of team member gonna win an award or two? Kowalski is leading in shots blocked and his 3rd in points - I can easily see him winning best defensemen. 4. did you like the topic of the theme week? Meh - it seems like they are out of ideas but I made an easy graphic for 12 TPE so no complaints 5. was it easy to come up with an idea for theme week PT? yeah I had it turned around and posted pretty quick. 6. hows the summer going on so far? not bad at all. Just bought a house so just continuously buying stuff for it.

1. Unfortunately, we're on a 7-game losing streak. All but one of those games have been lost by 2 or less goals. What do you suggest we try to turn things around? Just keep grinding and hopefully get some bounces. Our players are working hard and it will eventually go our way. A lot of the guys aren't happy with their own play and just need some luck. 2. Everyone is contributing though, which is great to see! All Legion players have at least 2 goals and 11 points. Who's your early pick to lead the team in scoring? I think the captain (Atlas) had a slow start but will come around and lead the team in scoring. 3. If Joel Castle continues to be among the Top-5 in GAA and SV% despite few wins, should he garner a nomination for the Aidan Shaw Trophy (Top Goaltender)? He is by far our team MVP and if we make the playoffs he should be the league MVP. Just an amazing player and one of the best goalies in VHL history. 4. If you live in Canada , what are your Canada Day plans (July 1)? If not, what are your weekend plans? I just moved into a house that I bought so I was pretty busy with that. On the Saturday I managed to visit a friends house for drinks. 5. The NHL Entry Draft begins tonight. Which player would you like your team to draft or what is a move you'd like them to make? I honestly didn't follow the prospects enough to care which player the Leafs took. I think they should have taken a flyer on Cristall though. 6. Hot dogs are the ultimate summer food. What goes on yours? Ketchup, mustard, relish, BBQ sauce, cheese, onions, chili, etc.? Load em up - ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish, sauerkraut, banana peppers.

Henry Tucker Jr - best goalie in the league and we’d be nowhere without him. 3. Which team has surprised you so far? I really thought the Legion would have a big jump this year but it hasn’t happened. 4. Try to guess what the topic of the theme week gonna be this time. Pick a Sport - do a graphic or media spot on your player if he were to play another sport. 5. Any excitement for the theme week/trade deadline at all? I like the double TPE and it’s always nice to seee the topic we think of 6. Hows the NHL free agency going for your fav team? leafs got Bertuzzi and I’m happy about that.

This graphic is very simple to the point of where I can count the layers on my hand. Not saying that that is a bad thing though because it's pretty aesthetically pleasing. I really like the shade of blue and feel like the Toronto Legion jerseys should be of a darker shade to offset that light blue logo. I will keep that in mind to use Kraken jerseys for my next Legion JC. I definitely like how this is more of a "season opener" poster than a sig as if it should be hanging above the front doors of the stadium. Your logo placements are perfect and I really enjoy how you have that lighting on the legion Logo. I think another pattern/texture layer would have brought this sig together a big more, but otherwise not bad. 9/10
