DAVOS ACQUIRES DEMKO
"Move locks up Championship [pretty much]," says Jack Reilly
DAVOS, SWITZERLAND -- In a move that very few people noticed, the HC Davos Dynamo have brought in Patrick Demko, a defender from the Quebec City Meute. Although he is not an all-star, Demko has put up solid numbers, with 61 points in 52 games this season and 3 points in his first 2 games with Davos.
"We were really excited to bring him in," said Jack Reilly, "Demko is a member of the rum_ham agency; I like rum, and I like ham. Therefore, I really like Demko."
Demko will replace Archie Wagner, who had moderate success with the Dynamo. "We look for Demko to really improve our power player as well as our penalty kill. He will be a big piece to the puzzle to get us into the playoffs, and ultimately, hopefully the championship."
The Dynamo sit in 2nd place in the European Conference with twenty games to go.
