Most of the people in the argument from what I could tell were Ducks fans. And that's my point exactly. That was maybe the worst stretch of games played by Toews I can remember. Zetterberg was also not a bastion of scoring in that series. They finished with the same exact G/A. Zetterberg was 100% focused on stopping / chipping Toews. You're anti-Hawks I'm pretty sure, being a Detroit fan.

The expectations for Toews are so grand - higher than anyone sans Ovechkin and Crosby, maybe 1 or 2 others. Also, Getzlaf is shooting near 20% this year. That's bound to come down, along with his scoring. He's a career 12.5% shooter, which is significantly lower than Toews' average of 15.0% (13.5% this season). Getzlaf is having a career season, Toews is probably playing on average. And they're not too far off from each other.

Getzlaf is having a better year than Toews probably. I can admit that. I'm not saying he doesn't belong in a discussion, but to think he is a higher regarded player or would be selected ahead of Toews in a redraft of all NHL teams is somewhat silly IMO.

Effort: 2/2 - yes. Look: 2.75/3 - nice manip I think. I really like the text here, but more could have been done in regards to render effects. this was close to a 2.5 for me, as the lighting was somewhat of a problem, too. Creativity: 1/1 - yes. Overall: 5.75/6

Despite team success, Moher still struggling DAVOS, SWITZERLAND -- The Dynamo are off to an incredible start, atop the European Conference at 17-5-1. Much of that is thanks to the stellar play of their forwards, in particular Odin Tordahl, Davey Jones, and Sergey Brovalenko. Davos leads the league in scoring with 86 goals, nine ahead of the second-highest scoring team Helsinki. That's because last year's first overall pick, Lennox Moher, still has not found his consistency in net. After a nice start for Moher, he has given up at least 3 goals against in nine of the last twelve games. If the Dynamo are going to have any kind of success in the playoffs, he will need to shore up his performance in goal. The second-year starter also has a 90.5 SV%, which is tied for second worst in the league, ahead of only Seattle goaltender Steven Smyl. When asked about his performance so far, Moher commented, "I think it's been just okay. The team is playing great, but I've had some let down performances in games we should have won. I've had an incredible supporting cast around me, and that's why we're on top of Europe right now."

Here's a thought fong: do you think Bob Murray would trade Getzlaf for Toews? The answer is probably Yes. I know Scotty Bowman would probably shoot himself before trading Toews.

Toews draws by far the most attention of anyone on the Hawks. You don't watch enough of the Hawks I don't think. I guess Cam Fowler sucks.

You're a Red Wings fan, so I'm guessing a lot of your watching Toews happened against Detroit. He played pretty damn awful (for him) in the series against Detroit, but if you are saying you'd rather start a real NHL team with Getzlaf over Toews, you're probably on the wrong side with that one. Toews is also 25 years old.
