Came here because I saw it's a player card and I always love to see what do people come up with design wise for these. Looking at your piece it is actually very nice. I would say it is very simple, but it still hits the spot. Like the "frame you've done, gives a nice touch to it and also space for the teams logo and some basic information. It is not too crowded or anything and easily can be applied as a template. Two things I could point out that maybe I would like to see is a full frame, so a line goes around the whole card(border) and maybe some effects on the picture itself, so it doesnt look like a plain picture put on there. But overall I like it. Review: 8/10

Which skill would you prioritise as more important one for a player - Skating or Puck Handling? 3. What's your players Jersey number and if you would have to change it due to it not being available in your team, what would be the number?

Haven't been in this part of the graphics for some time and the first one I look at is this one. To be fair Im quite impressed with the quality as I would sometimes see pieces like this in the main graphics page not the supplementary one, so well done. Nice jersey swap and the cut of the render. Text is simple but it works and is totally fine for this type of artwork. The only thing I would change is the size of the render, probably would have sized it smaller as the skates are quite close to the edge and the render cut as well because of the missing stick part which makes it broken haha. Rather than that well done! Rating: 7/10

I guess this is a proud moment for the team, so I can see where the idea of the piece comes from. The jersey swap is done quite neat and the hardest part at least in my opinion, the face swaps, are brilliant. Obviously you have some rough cuts there, but hey, it's still a good effort, especially the beard, that never goes well haha. Love the little glow bubbles added at the bottom which gives a nice touch. Overall good and congratulations! Rating: 6/10

One thing that always puts me off are these type of pieces where obviously it has a meaning and background story to it (which you kinda explained) or maybe it's some sort of an inside joke that some people will understand, but me, as a simply guy, I just look at the face value and get confused - is it genius piece or trash. This time I won't judge it in that way, so I will just give my commentary on the piece. I like the idea of wanting to combine various elements together, but I feel a better job could have been doen. To bee fair after seeing your last piece, I know for a fact that a better job could have been done as I've seen that you can do so much better. I might be talking out of my arse right now and maybe the quality and the style of the piece is meant to be like this. Maybe you think that the player doesn't deserve more time spent on a piece for him, I dont know haha. Obviously it is not a terrible job as you did spend your time to cut it all out and put it all together and even did a jersey swap. Overall im just confused haha! Rating: 6/10

Who said that simplicity cannot be good? I like works like these - simple, not too much, not too little, but the main thing is that the composition works well together. I think it is a false idea that in order for something to be good looking, you have to put hours and hours of photoshopping (not saying you didnt) and tens of tens of effects etc. For me it is always the composition and the look at the end. If you can make something good looking with 3 layers, I will take it. As for this piece, yet again, love the dual render idea of the player showcasing two sides of the person. Good job on the jersey swap, funnyt hat the t-shirt looks worse than the uniform haha. Maybe not a fan of the font as I think I've seen it being used before, but hey, dont fix what is not broken. Overall: 8/10

Not here to ruin anyone's mood, just here to give you my honest, subjective, review of the piece. Let me start that I really like the idea that you were going for, the icy, snowy effect on the player render is a nice touch, but unfortunately it feel like there is quite a lot of the snow and ice effect where it literally takes too much space. The text is okey, but yet again the icy effect kinda puts me off. i think the player render choice has been very good, just he overall execution isn't the greatest for my liking. Review: 6/10

Uu this is a nice piece. I wish I would have the original picture right next to this one so I could be able to tell easier what has been done, but no matter what, I love the looks of this piece. First of all it is a very nice render chosen as it gives a humble and graceful feel to the player. Love the smoky effect, gives you a great chill vibe. The choice of font for text is good as well, fits very well with the whole concept and look. I keep on looking at the piece and it literally gives me a vibe of a good smoke whisky (I know, very random thought). Rating: 9/10

What can I say - the card has been done very nicely. I like the simplistic card design as it does what it needs to be doing and is not too much. Very nice job on the render and the background, like that Sonic, speed design that is made on the card. One thing that I am not fan of and I think it could have easily been done better and would add more to the looks is the choice of font for the text. But at the same time I am supper impressed and just love the font used for the signature and it is an awesome signature. Rating: 7/10

I like the piece of work, or should I say piece of art, very much. I love the style in which it has been created as it gives you that artistic feel, especially the use of burshes to make the background and that it also goes over the render. The text font choice is very good, it fits the whole piece very nicely and gives you a professional feel to it. The team logo at the background is a nice touch to fill out the background and not have it too empty. Also the jersey swap is done very well! Rating: 8/10

ANSWERS: 1. If we could add 2 more VHLM teams to the league, would you rather have 2 defunct teams be resurrected or see 2 brand new teams be created? - Two brand new teams, because it is always fun to have new locations and be able to build new history if you're part of that team. 2. If you could create a new VHLM from scratch, where would they be located and what would the team be called? - I would definitely want to make an European VHLM team as there is none, but we already have a Latvian team (Riga Reign) in the league, so I would go with Germany as they have no teams when in IIHF they quite good and name wise I would call them Berlin Bismarck's. 3. What is the top moment for your player this season so far? (shutout streak, hat tricks, fights? etc.) Funny enough I was just informed that apparently I just did a hattrick, so that is definitely highlight moment so far this season. QUESTIONS: 1. Is ice hockey now better after removing "Police" or Enforcers from the game? 2. What would a fan sign have to say for you to give them your stick without a question? 3. Lets say you would have to decide on an achievement after which you have to end your career, what would it be? It cannot be winning any of the championship cups.

I guess it bother me as a roleplayer, so I see this league as some sort of rp as well and when I see nice, rp ice hockey players with legit names, then the ones that I call dumb and an unrealistic for me breaks so called immersion. And technically names would fall under moderation as well, because if someone would name a player Hdolf Aitler then probably moderators would involve themselves and ask/make them change the players name.

We still allowing players to be named in dumb and unrealistic names? Like "Last Nights Dinner"?

ANSWERS: 1. What is your favourite VHL moment in your time in the league. So far, probably winning the cup in VHLM! 2. Now this is a very, very nice looking card design. I've seen couple of other card designs and I have tried to do my own, but it always feels like a hustle to come up with a good looking card design, but you my friend have nailed it. I genuinely love it and could easily imagine this to actually be a design to be used for RL player cards. Lets start with the fact that these are signature series therefore it is not filled with stats or anything unnecessary. The white gradient that goes from the bottom to the top, covering players skates is an awesome way of blending the player with the card. It also allows you to add the teams logo in the background which is a nice touch as well. The font for the text is chosen nicely and is fitting for the purpose. This one definitely is cool piece! Rating: 9/10

Uuu, okey, I feel ya. The title of the thread gives you a better understanding of this piece, the choice of the character which fits perfectly for the message. More or less well done one the jersey swap, the logo is done well, but as I've seen others going that extra mile and also changing out the NHL logo for VHL, in this picture I think that was very much doable, so would have liked to see that done for the full jersey swap. The gradient colour over the piece is nice, gives me like a flam-ish feel, like he's gonna go through fire to get to you. Last but not least is the text which I like the font, it looks nice and smooth, but the only thing is the cut off "g" which I dont fully understand - was it intentional or not. Overall rating: 7./10

ANSWERS 1. Do you have any expectations for your player this season and if so, how hard will they be to achieve? - I would like to see my player to be one of the main forces of the team point wise. My team is in rebuild, so should not be that hard. 2. How do you think your VHL/VHLM team will do this season and why? - Most likely we will be fighting to get wins and most of the time wont get any, but this is just the beginning of the road. 3. Do you have any New Years Resolutions? If so what are they? - I do not believe in new years resolutions, if you want to do something, just do it right now, why you have to wait for this mystical date in order to do something. QUESTIONS 1. When your team travels to "away" game, what is your way of killing time in the plane? 2. If you wanted to watch this brand new movie, but someone told me that the books are way better than the movie...would you still watch it or read the books? 3. Why do you think it is custom to pop-champagne on New Years instead of any other bottle?
