What is your favourite movie? Dont really have one, but if i have to name any then probably - Saw -
Straight up you can tell that graphics is not something you do and this was your attempt on one. Taking in consideration your level of skill I have to say that the piece is actually solid. You have taken in consideration several things to make the piece to look clean and smooth. Added a little background effect, nothing too much, just the right amount. Experimented with some additional things like the shapes behind the goalie which is a good touch. Text maybe is not the greatest, but not the worst case. Good job. Rating: 7/10

Very interesting approach to the signature and definitely unique compared to what we usually see, but unfortunately, this specific signature, is not for my taste. All the sharpened and whatever effect all over the signature is bit too much for me. I kinda feel like a little bit of the effect could be fine, but because it's all over the signature, Im not a fan. The only thing that caught my eyes and I found to be cool was the text "Pearce" because it give me a stitched type of text vibe. This in no way is professional criticism as it is not based on skill or techniques, more on how I feel about the piece my self. Rating: 5/10

In my defense and that's also a reason Im not keen hearing that I "abused" the meta is the fact that I just joined the league, never really played in VHL before so I had no clue about such meta even existing. All I did was focused on the stats that I felt were important to my player as a sniper. Obviously main focus was scoring, cuz sniper -dooh, then puck handling, skating and defense, cuz I was told defence helps player to perform well. Maybe it was meant to be as before in other leagues I've had either defence players or playmakers that actually focused on passing. This time I wanted to make that scorer, be on top of the tops with time and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my player doing that well. Also, it's not like I started to focus on these stats recently, I've been doing that since I joined and I cannot say that this "meta" was breaking scoreboards in VHLM or VHLE.

VSN Presents: S82 VHL Playoff Preview

Moscow who? -
Sam was right in pronunciation - it's (EIVENS) rhymes with "safe haven". Haha

Against all imagination, Matt is doing super good in his rookie season in VHL and that is due to his perfect line chemistry with Zaza and Godlander who are doing as exceptionally as Matt is. All three players are in Top3 position in the rookie rankings with Matt and Godlander not only being top 10 players in the league, but steadily gaining higher and higher positions on all time best rookie seasons with several games still left. Knowing that a lot of people are playing fantasy league Matt was actually wondering how many people expected him to do so well and did anyone even picked him for his fantasy. It would be kind of a safe assumption that no one did, because it is very doubtful that anyone would think that Matt would do so well and be a top10 player in the league in his rookie season. Nonetheless the inner rivalry with Godlander is still going on as they both are fighting neck by neck. Seems like Godlander is more known between the VHL fan base as he was chosen to play in all-star game while Matt was not, but Matt is not bothered about it. All the focus is on growing as a player and as a team mate.

1. We are at the top of our conference and have been for pretty much the whole season. Can we keep it up? With half of the season still to go will we finish at the top? -Oh hell yes we can! All we have to do is to keep grinding as hard as we have and we will stay where we are! 2. How do you feel the ambience is in our locker room right now? With all the rookies carrying the team and the few veterans we have taking a supportive role how do you feel about that? -As one of the rookies who is carrying the team I feel blessed to have the veterans having our backs. Im a team player, so I know that I would be happy for the team wins while still doing my best to support whatever way we win. 3. What team is your favourite to play against? Which is your least favourite? -To be fair I don't have my favourite team to play against, but my least favourite teams are the ones that we haven't managed to beat this season. 4. If the league were to expand what city would they go to and what would the team be called? -Uuuu, this is a good one. Let's go with the current worlds support and say - Ukraine. And the team would be called Chernobyl Atoms! 5. Our team is currently at a lull and we are coasting until the playoffs come. So there something the team or the league can do to spice things up during the season? -Have no idea what "lull" means, but I dont think we need to spice things up as every game is spicy enough to stay on top! 6. When the United visited the Queen on our annual visit, what did the Queen say to your player when they met? -Thank you for not being another football player!

Ok, very confusing work to be fair and let me explain why. Looking at the piece it feels like there is nothing done, like only text applied on top of the picture, but I might be wrong as it is super hard to say without seeing the original picture. Obviously the picture has had some editing, like for example blurred out background to keep the focus on the player and also some colour filters, but I cannot tell was it actually done by you or is that's how the picture came. The text is actually not a bad one, because it reminds me a little bit of a player card signature time of text. Overall if you did the changes I mentioned then it is an OK piece, could have made it to look more fun. Rating 5/10

This signature is an interesting one due to several reasons. The first reason would be the fact that in this particular piece you have used a render/player form a game or at least it seems so which is a different approach from what you would usually see. The second reason is the very colourful background that is nice in some ways, but for my personal taste - not a fan of it. I feel the piece is little bit chaotic and at the same time quite empty for my liking. The text as always is something I think could have been done better. Rating: 6/10

The season has been so great so far that a little inner competition has started as a joke. Matt and Nils are low key fighting for the top Rookie position and every time they do better than other one they would point it out to the other person. It is very good to have such thing as it keeps you on toes and makes sure that you perform and do not slack. Obviously Nils has no chances to beat Matt and any time Nils gets close to Matt, it is only because Matt purposely allowed Nils to be so close that he can eat Matts smoke. Matt has already had some rivalries in the past and they did not pan out to be as good as this one, so he is happy that there is a good rivalry in the team in order to keep everyone working to perform on every game night and keep London United where it is and who knows, maybe even pick up that cup! Whatever the situation might be, Matt is happy with the progress and cannot wait to season to finish to know how the season will end!

1. After 26 games we are 1st in the European Conference and tied for 2nd overall!!!! How do you feel about this and are you excited to see how we do in the next few weeks? Of course Im excited! I came to London with rumours that London sucks, but now we are on top with the hard work! 2. Our whole team is doing great but who’s performance stands out the most to you and why? Mine! Cuz Im the best! Rest of the guys are fine as well! 3. How is your performance so far this season? Is there anything you would like to improve on? I think my performance is actually great and the statistics show that. I guess I could improve on actual scoring, considering my assists are close to goals, but my passing skill is not close to scoring skill. 4. What are your thoughts on the upcoming All Star Weekend? Are you excited to see what happens or are you just focused on the season. To be fair as I was not picked for the all star weekend, then Im just focused on the season. 5. What is your favourite Olympic Sport to watch and why? Ice Hockey for obvious reasons! 6. Did you watch the Super Bowl? If so how did you celebrate the weekend and which team did you cheer for? I did not watch the super bowl as Im from Europe, so the interest in that sport is small.

Alright, this is a very simple and beautiful work. I actually enjoy the fact that you stuck with mainly grey and then for the cherry added the other colour. Am I fan of that specific colour? Not really and I think there are nicer colours to use for such standout, but tastes are different. Like the merge of the two renders, very nice. Text is good as well, although Im not a fan of the effects put on the "Rainhart" part. Overall it is a job well done! Rating: 7.5/10

Oh yes! Although you could say that the signature seems quite busy, but for my taste it is perfect. Nicely placed renders to make the shout out to the trio. Love the grunge effect if that's what it is. The only thing Im not really a fan of is the font choice. It's kinda ok when it comes to the shorter names, but the players name on the left, can't really read what it is. Other than that it is a good piece of work, I like it! Rating: 8/10

Even in his wildest dreams Matt could not imagine that he would be the top Rookie in the league as he first hand saw some more skilled players in VHLE, but as they say - it's only 10% talent and 90% hard work. The season started great for Matt and after 26 games Matt is currently the top rookie with 48 points and with every game he not just fights for his team, but also to keep his position until the end of the season. In 26 games, Matt has acquired 48 points in total, only 4 goals short to have on average 2 goals per game. While London was being slandered for being a poor looser, this season London is showing that they are more than that and actually is a very strong team which to keep in mind when looking at the strength of the leaders and Matt with his other rookie players will make sure that it stay that way and no one dares to cross London!

1. We are 7-4-1 in our first 12 games played, how do you feel about our start to the season? How has your player performed? Oh I feel great, but cannot let my guard down. Usually seasons start good for Matt, will see how it's gonna go and my player is performing fantatic. 2. We currently have 4 players in the top 10 rookies, does this show that our young guns are performing well or are the rest of the leagues rookies not performing as expected? Tbf I don't care what is the reason as that gives the team good motivation. 3. Our goaltender, Cole Pearce, is not in the top 10 for save percentage or goals against average. Is this a bump in the road, new blood jitters, or bad defense? Whatever it might be, as long as he get back on his feet after each game, he will make it. 4. If you could recall TPA at any time without having to pay, what the first attribute you would recall and what would you spend that TPA on instead? Hard to tell, because I focused all my TP on main stats that I need. 5. Favourite type of bread (sliced white, baguette, flat bread, etc.) and what do you like to eat it with (ham, salami, tomato, etc)? Rye Bread with some piece of cheese! 6. Hot tea, iced tea or neither? Ice Coffee. Recently learned how to make one at hom - perfect.

This is a very, very nice one as it gives me that superstar, spot moment vibe. It just feels like he's on the ice, just scored and all the lights are on him. Very nice highlights making it easy to see the layering and making it a little bit more in dept. as you can see what's in front, what's in back etc. Very nice Jersey Swap. The only thing I am not a fan of is the text. I cannot really clearly read the name oft he player. The font is not ugly or nothing, just has bit more effect that makes it unclear, at least for me. Hmm, I will be honest with you - it is hard to understand how good or bad is this piece, because I dont see much. Im not saying you have to put hunderds of confusing elements, but this one seems very simple, but not bad looking at all. Im not a fan of the bottom text and would love to have one in the empty space. The Jersey sawp is made very good tho and that part is good one. Hope to see more and improved pieces over this one. "Finally!" Matt thought to himself as he was sitting in the dressing room all in brand new London United uniform! It was the night of the very first game for Matt in VHL and he was mentally and physically prepared. The game was against Helsinki Titans. Helsinki Titans definitely was not the team to beat this season as they on paper would be on the same level where London was, so they were perfect opponents to start off the season. As Matt saw in the practices then the team will have to compensate their puck control and skating skills with the shooting skills and luckily they did! In a close game London took a victory with score 4:3. London kept it's momentum for two more games and then the first loss came against Malmo Nighthawks. The score was only 1-2 in favour of Malmo, so the whole team set their heads to win Malmo in the next game, but unfortunately, although the fight was hard and close, it ended with an overtime loss. So close, but so far. London had to more loses until getting another win. First week went quite the same way, back and forth with wins and loses, leaving London 3rd in European Conference and 5th in Overall standings. Matt managed to get 16 points in the 11 games they played and is tied up with his teammate Nils as the top Rookies of the season. First week has turned out well and Matt is happy for the great chemistry that he has found with his 2nd line-mates.

1. The season is beginning, what are you most excited about and what are you the most nervous about? To be fair both can be answered with the same answer - Im the most excited and nervous about finally stepping on the VHL ice for the very first time! 2. London drafted goaltender Cole Pearce with their first round pick, what are your thoughts on this? Pearce with fill a hole we had in goaltending, what do you expect from them in their first season and are you looking forward to seeing what they bring to the team? I dont care that they drafted the goalie with their first pick, because goalie will be depending on the rest of the team anyways, so while you have good defence and offence the order does not matter. I expect everyone to do their job well! 3. No moves were made in free agency, do you think we missed out on anyone? What are your thoughts on the current roster? I think that there were no moves to be made because London is obviously on rebuild and is getting the new talents, so oldies can stay where they are! 4. What are your thoughts on the new supplemental tpe task? Will you be using this as part of your weekly capped tpe or are you satisfied with the current options? Must have missed something as I dont know what is the new supplemental TPE task, will have to check. When it comes to options, ye Im satisfied. I have my little routine and I just follow it each week! 5. What is your favourite type of chocolate? (Dark, white, milk, raspberry, orange, etc.) I would say that my favourite chocolate is milk chocolate. My favourite chocolate bar would be Tupla. 6. Are you an outdoors person or an indoors person? What’s your favourite activity to do either outdoors or indoors? By a large margin I am an indoors person, but I am not afraid of outdoors activities as I grew up with them. It's more about how I am as a person, I need to do something with a goal, not just cluelessly go places or walk around.

Very, very nice pieces! Looking at them it gives me that stylish artistic vibe and the lightening of the renders that you have done are some quality work and fits so well together. The background colours allows the signature to pop out in a very nice way. Font choice is spot on as well as it, same as the background, is in that free crazy brush style. Love that you have decided to give the whole team some high quality signatures to spice up their profile. Would love to have one like this myself! Good job! Review: 9/10

I would guess this is one of your first attempts in signature making, so I will just point out some things that could easily be improved for the next time. Starting with the background - I understand that you wanted to put the city in the background, but I am not sure that is a good choice and I would rather you find something different that fits with the player and the colours. You could literally google "blue white background" and see what is there. The Jersey swap could use some blending options, so that it looks little bit more natural. The text...I wont talk about the text font choice and the effects of the text, but just about the position. You could have moved the text bit more away from the frame and centre it a little bit in the area between the border and the player. Rating: 5/10

Matt Avens finally got the chance to have practice and some time on ice with his new teammates. It was important for him to see the skill level of the players he's gonna be playing together in order to understand what he can do to help the team. Although he heard some bad things about Londons past and as a fellow Londoner he knew about it as well, he was hopeful after seeing his new team on ice. You could say that London is going through a little rebuild and most of the players are fresh and green which is good for the future and maybe even not that distant future as everyone is eager to prove themselves. At first the team looked impressive as Matt got on the ice after everyone else and saw them shooting puck at the goalie. All the players definitely showed good scoring skills. Truth to be told might have looked like that also because of the young goalie that team has. When it came to attack drills, that's where Matt started to see some issues in his teammates. First of all the skating skills were not top notch for most of the guys. Some had issues with acceleration, some had issues with reaching good top speed, so there was definitely space to improve. Skating a side, the biggest disappointment for Matt was his teammates puck handling skills. They might be good shooters, but the puck handling was lacking a lot which basically neutralizes the point of being a good shot if you lose the puck before it's in the attacking zone. Defensive understanding was quite good, so that was a plus. Considering the age of most of the players in the team gives hope that they still can improve on these skills, but that also means that the chances to go against more skilled teams will be a challenge.

We managed to draft some Kings from last seasons roster, as well as some returning faces from seasons past. What are you hoping to learn more about this season in the M? Im glad to hear that! Wanted to say "Hello" to my first drafted team as Im about to have my first season in VHL! I want to learn by the end of the season that you got that cup! Who is your much-too-early pick for the Cup? MEXICOOOO! What is a fun-fact about yourself? Went to US to play hockey, but ended up playing for my home country VHL team in my home city! Dolphins or Sharks? (The animals not the sports teams.) Dolphins, always! Will the Kraken make the playoffs? Have no idea! Whats something that you're obsessive about that others may not be? Thankfully Im not obsessive about anything, I dont think being obsessive is a good thing, even for the smallest reasons.

Nice, this is definitely looking prestine and I love to see a different type of graphics than just signatures. I mean technically this could be counted as a signature, but that's not the point. The draft banners are made very clean and gives that real NHL graphic feel. Im not a fan of the size as it gives me the impression that due to the size of the banners you had quite some space to fill out, so some bits for me are not hitting that homerun. For example the team logo square, all good, but the square is quite big therefore the coloured logo seems to not take enough space, even with the bigger one as a background. Also due to the text box size the line between the position and the name of the previous team does not look nice and I would say that without that filler, just text in one or another corner would have probably looked better. But all together, well done! Review: 9/10
