Q1: Postseason just around the corner! How do you think Saskatoon is going to rank up against other teams? Do you think they can defend their title? I think we are going to do good. Towards the second half of the regular season we acquired some new talented players that will help in defending the title. I genuenly think we going all the way! Q2: Intense Game 7 in the Stanley Cup! What are your thoughts on the game? Honestly did not watch it, but Im happy that Panthers took it and my country(Latvia) now has another NHL champion written in the history books. Q3: If you had to pick a different position to play, what would it be and why? I've never had a goalie, but Im not sure how fun it is to have a goalie, so most likely a D. Q4: Mexico City is really dominating the league this season! How do you think saskatoon can overcome that? They can dominate all they want, but it wont change that Saskatoon is taking the cup. We have already showed that we can overcome them by having an amazing end of the season and we going to keep on rolling. Q5: Do you have any questions or suggestions for me as an AGM? Not really sure. I believe it is hard enough to keep a VHLM team alive, so to ask something like keeping locker room alive is a lot already. I dont mind to be fair as it is as I can enjoy the league and mind my own business. As long as you're there to assist when needed and keep posting these press conferences to fill out, Im happy. Q6: Who is your favorite NHL player and why? Arturs Silovs, because first of all my countryman and also because he's an exciting goalie and can't wait to see what more he can do in the league if given an opportunity.

Hello! Here to do my reviewing, so hold on to your horses haha! The first thing I see is the stock picture chosen which is a cityscape in the distance and I would assume that the city in the background is actually Houston which makes a very nice touch and choice of background to represent the team. I see you have done some colour changes on the whole piece or just the background, hard to tell, so that everything matches the colour team of orange, which is the teams colour. The placement and the size choice of the VHL logo and Bulls team logo on top is very nice and I would not be able to tell they are two separate logo's if I would not know. Overall I love the piece and the one criticism I would give is that I would play more with the teams logo blending options and the colours to match better as right now the fiery parts of the logo gives you that "ugly" overlay colour and messes a little bit with the overall composition. Thank you for submitting this piece, I like it a lot! Review: 7/10

Hello there friend! Here to give some constructive and subjective review on your peace here! First of all a very obvious choice of props used for this graphics as the team is called Las Vegas Aces and you used Aces from card deck to represent the team. By the outcome of the graphics I can tell that you don't have much experience with graphics which is totally fine as experience comes with practice and that's what improves the quality of the work with time. This time to give you some pointers where you could improve is the stock picture itself and text. Picture is very low quality (might be a reason why this exact picture was used) which hinders the overall quality of the graphic as the stock picture is the majority of the work here. The text is plain font placed on top of the picture which could improve to make it nicer. You don't have to be text guru, but simply looking for nicer font online and using it can drastically improve the work. Oh an also the text positioning. Thank you for the graphic made and keep on working on gaining experience! Review: 5/10

Q1: The team seems to have many good days and a few bad days, what do you think we can do to improve consistency? - Looking at the results I would say we are quite consistent, but we are not perfect, because while we are professionals, we are also humans that makes mistakes and sometimes these mistakes cost us some loosing games. Q2: Does your player have any superstitions or rituals for the games? If so what? - No, my player doesn't have no superstitions he believes in or any rituals he does before games, but I bet he might pick some up from others with time. Q3: How did your player get into hockey? - His father took him to his very first hockey game when he was four years old and he just fell in love with it and been playing hockey since. Q4: If you had to pick an MVP for the season right now, who would you choose? - To be honest it is a hard question, considering I joined the league half way and haven't played that many games to recognise an MVP. Q5: What VHL team are you hopeful you get drafted too if/when you move up to the VHL? - Im a humble person, so I will be happy for any of the teams. Riga Reign would probably be the best location wise as Riga is my hometown. Q6: the NHL Stanley Cup just went to game seven, who do you think is going to win the series and with it, the cup? Late on this, already know the answer that Panthers picked the first Stanley Cup ever and a fellow Latvian is part of the team! Lets gooo!!!

Hey, a hobbyist reviewer here, so don't take my points as professionals criticism, just a personal opinion. Not sure what exactly the graphic is suppose to be, but I will assume it's on the lines of wallpaper or banner. First of all I love the vintage look you have decided to go with. The colour choice is obvious based on the teams logo colours, so not much to take or add there. The only two things I could point out is the championship banner text sizes as you can hardly see what season the banner/logo is from. Also I am not really sure why you didn't expand the canvas size so that the logo and the bottom banners would be in the middle by giving some more space. Rating: 7/10

Laimdots about arriving in Missisauga and his debut games
Mr Bohannan replied to Anomalijs's topic in Media Spots
Let me start by saying that you were wrong and I actually did read your name correctly. Haha! Secondly overall I liked the article, but the criticism I could give is definitely the layout. I wish you would have made it nicer looking in terms of doing gaps between paragraphs as that makes it easier to read as right now it just looks like ball of text together. I love that you have shown patriotism for representing Latvia (we both are), but for the sake of a story I wish you could have stayed on one topic and expand it rather than touching on 5 different one. Rating 6/10 (sorry bro haha) -
Q1: Two new players! Once we get them active in games how do you think they can help the team? Not sure which are the two as I just joined myself, but any player that can fill up the roster and remove the strain from the leaders and give them a bit more time to rest in order to not reach the fatigue is a plus. If they themselves additionally going to perform well, that's awesome! Q2: How is your player doing? Any improvement areas you see? As a brand new player in the team and VHLM there is, pardon my French, shit loads to improve! Q3: What is your players favorite restaurant? What do they usually order from there? Oof this is a good question. I like some good Asian food and to go place would be Wok House and the order would be some noodles with kung pao chicken and some vegie rolls. Or if not that then any of the steak houses. Q4: What is one thing you would change about the VHL/E/M and why? Hard to say as I have not had the experience from the players perspective. Need to play a bit and see. One thing for VHLM would be the team balance as some teams are stacked and some are barely having players. Q5: What do you think our chances of winning a second cup in a row? Why? Well we have to outperform other teams, which right now is not the case, but we are close and playoffs are eliminations, so we definitely can do it! Q6: Does your player have any pets? If so what are they and what are their names? Unfortunately due to a lot of moving over the years, Drosmis does not have any pets as it would be a burden to him and the pet as well.

Drosmis Sarkanis was only four years old when he first turned his attention to hockey. It was a cold winter evening in his native Riga, Latvia, and the city was filled with cheering crowds of fans of the local hockey team. His father Arthur, who had played hockey in his youth and had a deep love for the game, had brought little Drosmis to his first hockey game. The cheers in the crowd, the sounds of sticks clashing, the players crashing on the ice, completely captured Drosmis's attention like nothing, never before. During the game, Drosmis's wide eyes followed the puck with unwavering attention. He marveled at the agility and speed of the players, their ability to maneuver on the ice and the tremendous power output. By the time the final whistle blew and the players skated off the field, leaving behind a trail of scraped ice, the Drosmis had decided. He turned to his father and announced: "I want to play hockey." Arthur was both surprised and delighted. "Are you sure?" he asked looking into his son's serious expression. Drosmis nodded vigorously. "I want to be like them!" From that moment on, Arthur knew that his son had found his passion. The next morning, he took Drosmi to the local ice rink, where the young hockey players trained under the coach's watchful eyes. The thrill of Drosmis was obvious as he put on his skates and stepped onto the ice. He fell several times, getting up each time and determinedly trying to stay on the ice. Arthur watched from the sidelines, pride filling his chest. As the years passed, Drosmis's dedication only increased. He spent every free moment on the ice honing his skills and learning the nuances of the game. By the age of six, he was already playing in the local youth league, and his perseverance and talent set him apart from his peers. He adored watching his VHL idols play and hoped to one day play in the VHL himself. His parents wholeheartedly supported his dream. They drove him to early morning practices, cheered him on at games, and devoted all their time to attending out-of-town games. His mother, Elina, sewed him shirts and made sure he always had a hot meal after practice. Despite the financial strain, they never doubted their son's determination and potential. By the time Drosmis was ten years old, he was the leader of his team and his name began to circulate among scouts as the next potential star. His speed, vision and puck-handling skills were second to none and his passion for the game was abundant. Coaches marveled at his work ethic and discipline, rare for such a young player. At the age of fourteen, Drosmis was offered a place at a prestigious hockey academy in Finland, known as an academy that had trained many VHL stars. It was a dream come true, but also a daunting challenge. Moving away from home, tougher competition and living in a foreign country were obstacles that tested his resolve. But Drosmis accepted the challenge with the same commitment he had shown in that very first fatal game to which his father had taken him. He knew that every step, every struggle was part of the path to his ultimate goal. His parents sacrifices, his own relentless pursuit of excellence, and his unwavering belief that he could be one of the best drove him forward. Now just ten years later Drosmis is finally on his final stretch that is going to take him to the end. Just signing the contract with Saskatoon Wilds he has finally arrived at VHLM and that means only one thing - VHL soon!

After the playoffs and the award shows Matt kind of fell of the tracks. Having such a good run which probably will be his best season for many seasons to come, the fact that he ended up with nothing, not even recognition from the judges in the award show, hit hard and Matt lost his motivation. With the changes in league and the training routines getting more demanding and harder, he started to lose the will to put him self out there and fight for anything. He felt like when it comes to the award shows then it is just game of popularity and when it comes to the games then it is just unpredictive, so there are no guarantees. The time to prove himself is over and Matt believes that he did prove himself, just without no benefit to it and with a very little impact on his future. Now Matt is waiting for the start of the next season to see how will he stand against the last seasons performance and can he even be close to the same results. Maybe then his motivation might return, but for now it is quite low.

Saw the Riga Reign and had to come in and give you a rating for the team that is located in the capital of my own country. The first question that comes in my mind is - is the piece a poster, card or a signature? Im not really sure how to look at it, so dont have any sort of guidelines I could go by for the specific type of work. I will assume it's something like a poster, so I will judge it based on that. The renders are chosen well and I like how they are used. Obviously the jersey change is done quite well, maybe not on the front render as the right side just looks like its cut down in a straight line. I would assume that's how jersey bends in the render, but with the jersey change it just looks weird. Although I see and understand why the orange colour is the dominant one in the piece, Im not too keen on it. Might be bit too much of orange for me. When it comes to text, I like that you chose a big and bold font, but the colour itself and the blending mode used does not work for me. I think you could have done much stronger text that would also stand out more and make the graphic more beastly. Overall it is a good job, nonetheless. Rating: 7/10

Hmm very interesting piece! I kinda like what you have done with the render and all the background work. The background gives me this intergalactic space travel vibe, but the render work itself reminds me of ice-man or whatever the villain from Batman is. All together seems a bit neon-ish so a lot of perspectives for this specific work. As you already mentioned yourself then you had issues with the text. Cannot say that the text is bad, not at all, but ye, text is an issue most of the times. Although the piece is busy, I kinda would like to see the background filled up a little bit more and not have that much of the black blank space around. Rating: 8/10

1. Do you think the league is heading in the right direction? - Really depends what is meant by right direction and in which area. Is league heading towards right direction in terms of the new stats, will see in next couple of seasons. 2. What’s your 4th favorite flavor of ice cream? - Vanilla 3. Do you think you play it safe or take more risks than others? - Hard to say. I think my player takes the risks most of the time, but also plays safe, depending on situation. Questions: 1. Why some of the teams are so lazy on Team Press Conferences? 2. How hard did you find the re-distributing the stats/skills? 3. Would you date someone who makes money on Onlyfans?

100% agree!

Stockholm Vikings Press Conference
Mr Bohannan replied to thadthrasher's topic in Team Press Conferences
London is slacking on press conference, so Im back to you guys! 1. Do you have any favourite activities to do in the offseason? if so what are they? - Relaxing for a bit and then back to the gym and focusing on myself. 2. If you had to take the team on a vacation where would we go and why? - I might take them to countries that are not popular destinations due to lack of information about them. 3. Who is your players favourite player in any league (NHL, VHL etc.) and why do you like them? - Henrik Zetterberg, because of his story being drafted 210th and then becoming one of the league leaders. 4. In your experience, did you like the E? why or why not? - What is THE E? 5. What is your favourite memory of this past season? - Playoffs 6. if you followed the NHL trade line, what trade shocked you the most? - To be fair I did not, so have no idea who is traded. -
Looking at the graphic straight up I see that you're not very skilled, so now Im looking at it from a beginners stand point. For a beginner this is a solid piece and the only things that could be improved are parts that will get better with experience. For example the background. The background seems like a quite generic background found online. When it comes to backgrounds it is totally fine to use online resources, but you can do so much that I would always suggest trying to find something unique. The text font gives me vibes of Supernatural TV show. Jersey swap is actually the best thing I think on the piece. It is done very good and looks good! Rating: 7/10

Saw my buddy Godlander mentioned, so I had to jump in I give my point of view on the piece made for him. Not sure what it is meant to be, a signature or a poster, but dang it is very London. There is so much London in the background that Im starting to feel that he's the queen of England haha. Not sure what is your skillset in graphics, but even if it's not the highest I would say that a good job has been done. I personally am not a fan of the overall piece, but it is definitely not the worst one I've seen here. Rating: 6/10

Questions for people to answer
Mr Bohannan replied to IHateBobNutting's topic in Player Press Conferences
1. What aspect of Hockey (Defense, Stick Handling, etc.) do you think is the most underappreciated? -Its hard to answer this, but I will say - Puck Handling! 2. The NHL has the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for the player who exhibited outstanding sportsmanship. What should the name of that trophy be in the VHL? -White Dove Trophy! 3. Who do you think deserves to win the award this year? -Everyone who actually deserves them. not favorites. 4. Who do you think is your team's MVP this season? -Either me, or Godlander or Pierce! 5. What is your favorite holiday? -Summer Solstice! It's a foreign holiday... 6. If the VHL has an expansion, what city would you like to see get a team? Cape Town, just for lulz1! -
Straight up you can tell that graphics is not something you are very good at or even familiar with. There could have been so much you could have done, even with your limited skills in graphics. The background could by anything, but whatever it is right now. Im assuming that it is suppose to be like a signature, which is another downside of the piece as it is way to large for whatever it is meant to be. At least you chose a bit more interesting font for the text, so I will give you that! Rating: 4/10
-
Alright, nice to see something different than the usual signature. Looking at the piece I understand, might be wrong tho, it is meant to be a poster which is fine, but kinda would love to see a bit more poster like look as of now it just looks like a picture. Usually I prefer clean and neat designs, but the dirty grunge look is not that bad. I dont know how the original picture looks like, but I like the change of the tone of the players, making it look bit more old-school. Text is very simple and nothing special, therefore could have been worked on more. Rating: 6/10

Oh wow, as this is for me, then I will also use this opportunity to do my weekly review haha. First of all I would like to say that I am very honoured that you made a graphic for me, something I did not even request, because I've always wanted to be that player that people chose for their graphics you know and I guess this season my name was seen enough for someone like yourself to chose me as your player to do the sig for. Thank you! Now to the review! I very much love what I see. Not my players render, as for my player I use Teodors Blugers, but hey, you didn't know. The graphic is not too busy, but still creates a very nice overall composition and I am happy with how it looks. The players render looks very crisp even besides the fact that his uniform is blurred out, but that gives also a nice touch to the design. Not mad about the "Matt" text and actually love it, but the Avens part is not what I would like to see. It is not that much about the look, but more about hte quality of the text as for some reason it gives quite pixelated areas down the sides of the letters like "V" and "A" making it look bad. Not sure what causes it, but if the Avens text would be as crisp as the render or as nice as Matt, then the signature would be a total 9. Thank you again! Rating: 8/10

Regular season was over, but nothing was actually over as now the most important part of the season was about to start. Thankfully for the position where London finished on the regular season standings, they did not have to play in the first round of the playoffs and had to wait to face the winner between Moscow and Malmo. Some of the experts predicted that London will face Moscow in the semi-finals and it did happen although it could have been any teams win, considering that it went to game five in which Moscow took the upper hand and advanced to the sem-finals against London. Now the first two games been played between London and Moscow, the result being 1-1, although after the very first game between both of these teams showed that it might be an easy sweep for Moscow as they did win London 6-1, totally crashing them in the very first game. Matt is doing his best on the ice and fingers crossed that London will pull through and go to finals!

Stockholm Vikings Press Conference
Mr Bohannan replied to thadthrasher's topic in Team Press Conferences
Just popping by :D! 1. If you were in charge of taking the team out for dinner, where would you take us? -I would probably take the team to some good steak house or something like that. 2. What is your favourite fruit. Clementine 3. If you could hire one person to help you, would it be for cooking, cleaning or yard work? Cleaning. Hate cleaning! 4. What is the longest time you have went without sleep? Maybe 12-13hours. Not long. Cannot live without sleep. 5. What is your favourite fast food place? A local burger place near my house. 6. What is your favourite movie? Dont really have one, but if i have to name any then probably - Saw -
Straight up you can tell that graphics is not something you do and this was your attempt on one. Taking in consideration your level of skill I have to say that the piece is actually solid. You have taken in consideration several things to make the piece to look clean and smooth. Added a little background effect, nothing too much, just the right amount. Experimented with some additional things like the shapes behind the goalie which is a good touch. Text maybe is not the greatest, but not the worst case. Good job. Rating: 7/10
-
Very interesting approach to the signature and definitely unique compared to what we usually see, but unfortunately, this specific signature, is not for my taste. All the sharpened and whatever effect all over the signature is bit too much for me. I kinda feel like a little bit of the effect could be fine, but because it's all over the signature, Im not a fan. The only thing that caught my eyes and I found to be cool was the text "Pearce" because it give me a stitched type of text vibe. This in no way is professional criticism as it is not based on skill or techniques, more on how I feel about the piece my self. Rating: 5/10
