Three months of waiting. It's been nearly three months since Blaine Olynick claimed his eligibility for the S37 VHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has not looked back since. The stellar young goaltender has taken the VHL and the VHLM by storm by surpassing all previous draftees by the day. Now, he sits 3rd overall in practice hour rankings but will be slated to go in the lower half of the 1st round due to the goalie position already being filled. "My hands are shaking. I can't believe this day is finally here. My whole family is here waiting for my name to be called up to the podium and put on my first VHL jersey," said Olynick. When such highly touted goaltenders like Olynick and fellow draftee Kimmo Salo enter the league, it definitely starts a new generation of goaltending in the VHL. As I'm typing this the draft is slated to begin in 2 minutes. Best of luck to all the draftees and I hope your careers skyrocket to stardom.

A little more than 3 months coming back, finally getting drafted tonight. So excited. I still expect at least one more trade to go down before or during the draft. (E5)

To say that Marty has been the starting goalie for the Devils for pretty much my entire life is crazy. I tried to make it to the game tonight just in case anything crazy happened. What will pain me is the upcoming offseason. His contract expires and I don't see him resigning with us. As selfish as it sounds, I wish he would retire afterwards.

On behalf of all Devils fans, I'd like to thank the Oilers, Wild, Anaheim, and the Canucks for helping us fans breath easily now.
