Claims this past week about whether Markus King would ever suit up for the Riga Reign if he was selected by the franchise were addressed after a Brampton Blades practice. Apparently King has gone on record to refute those claims is had his own thoughts on the situation following practice. "I won't rule any team out completely and if I was selected by a team I would hope they have faith to stick with me for my entire career as I'd be committed as long as they are committed to winning. I have never turned down a team from any point in time but my agent does have certain connections with franchises and also has broken off connections with others. I'm open to anything really", said King. An interesting note here is that King hinted that Davos is a team that isn't really committed as their GM seems to be somewhat missing at times and that worries him. In recent years questions have been brought up over whether Davos is really all that active in the free agency world or even ones who spark talks in relation to trades.

Oh I agree just saying it would somewhat ruin the integrity if a blue team guy did that (not saying he is or would) but just an avenue that leads down a dark road.

Yeah makes sense. I'm glad it's resolved as that was a silly part of the whole 2nd player thing. Still though, Jacob could just sit on his current TPE for the rest of his career.

I think we all know by now that back up goalies are a thing in our league and because of the influx of goalies we may end up having to raise the salary cap. With the 2nd Player system coming into effect, some might not feel like their second player (if a goalie) really needs full time minutes at any point in their career. Thus, some teams may be looking to grab a backup goalie. Shoutout to Claudio Martucci and Rock Star (@boulder) for paving the way for the likes of @Salt's goalie and various others climbing the VHLM ladder into the vHL. I'm not talking a big increase but something along the likes of $1,000,000 to persuade teams to maybe bring up their 2nd goalie to play those 8 games that could potential mean 16 points on their season. Who knows it could be the difference between a Victory Cup or even a playoff position.

As bad as it was he did win a cup. Some 2-3 seasons tenures were straight up bad. Much like the NHL where some GM's are like "bridge" GM's and only there during the down years of accumulating draft picks.

I don't see this one? Am I missing something. Just looks like a lopsided trade. Although I do have to wonder was the GM tag transferred to Black Velvet like the greg situation? I thought Jacob was the GM Player. Or was that before the rule was solidified? It's hard to keep track of when things came into effect. Although, Jacob could go his whole career without updating a single time more and we'd wonder what the fuck is going on.

Many recent articles have shed some light on some of the worst GM tenures or trades in VHL History lately. Bad trades are one thing, but to also somewhat have a tenure filled with turmoil or horrible seasonal team records is another thing. Lopsided trades can really paint the picture of an entire GM tenure but some of the best GM's in history have also been able to climb out of a hole in regards to shooting themselves in the foot from a bad trade. Who are some of the GM's who have had the worst tenures as a GM for a given team? Brovy may not have a cup title and may have had some bad trades that people pointed out, but his winning percentage is also above average and thus he wouldn't fit the criteria. We are looking for a full package of shit GM'ing here. Could it have been Corco? He didn't have a horrible winning percentage though I don't think. Could have been Bushito as he never truly won a cup as a GM of a team (being inactive doesn't count) as he bailed twice on teams he said he would come in and wreck the VHL in (he did go on record as saying GM'ing in the VHL is "easy"). Or could it be someone like Jala who backed out on a promise with Boubabi and also didn't have much of a promising go at the whole front office thing. Many teams were built by GM's and then they stepped aside and their squad went on to win. Who are they?

Yeah VHLM numbers don't really increase/decrease stock very much. Ultimately it's TPE earning that puts people above or below a prospect on draft boards

No I get that, but when you refer to organizational depth charts you refer to where the player would be TPE wise at his position in the given franchise. Otherwise you would hear a team like the Colts say "Well we don't need Andrew Luck because we already have 3 QB's", when in reality Andrew Luck was going to be drafted and would be the #1 instantly on their depth chart.
