53 seasons, close to about 16 seasons of those were in Riga. It's gotten old on me and to make me interested I need something new.

It's not at all refusing to play for rebuilders at all. I love rebuilders and love shaping the future. It's just that I have been in Riga for a great chunk of the 53 seasons I have been in this league. Keep in mind I've been here for so long and spending a lot of time with the same team gets rather boring.

I mean technically they could let him go and pick elsewhere, but his 2nd player would then be a recreate for Toronto. Aka Ironside doesn't have to be picked by Toronto, but when he recreates after Parechkin he has to have that player in Toronto.

Yeah they would take Ironside because of GM'ing, but Riga would be wise not to draft me.

2. Yes I did for my Updating purposes yes, and you've done a good job at that. But the rest of the board needs to be in on the Recruitment discussion if you ever want to make an impact with it. Well that fact you even state "I could have made some bullshit up..." is alarming that that thought even comes to your head. Are you really game for this position? What do you mean do something about it? I'm not the one getting paid to do it, nor do I have the patience to wait for the blue team to communicate with me. Your job as the recruitment manager is to set things up, be vocal and get the community talking about it. How is this forum supposed to help you or assist in any way if they don't even know whats going on? Transparency in that regard would break ground and you'd have an easier job by doing so. I should also state i have done something about it. In fact for the past 4 months I have used Twitter almost daily to attract new members, used Facebook to try and spark something and have been posting around leagues. I should also note that my past history in this league in regards to recruiting is massive. So you telling me to do something is more of a reflection of how much you are just sitting idly by. I'll take this comment as "I really didn't have interest in it to start with". See by taking criticism you could just look at it as a reason to improve. But you'd rather take the "lie down and die" route and that in itself is bad. I do think you have more in your tank to give to that area of the board (which is your job nonetheless) but I didn't think you really are giving your best effort. I mean be honest with yourself here, how much poking and prodding have you done outside the league? Hell even spending 20 minutes a day on branching out to new areas, creating discussion, etc.. would go a long way.

What's funny is every time I speak up you state that people need to chill out or quit their bitchin. Head Recruiting job is something that regardless of off weeks needs to be at least looked at every week. Take 1-2 weeks off is great, but actively trying to get people needs to a committed action. You were given access to the VHL Facebook account and promptly...didn't do anything. We haven't seen a Recruitment drive done since you took over, no reward based recruitment contest done in that time and also have yet to see any advertisements being paid for by our league that you have brought forward. Now in all honesty, not all of that is a solo job but you should be posturing the right people to help you do those. (i.e. getting funds for advertisements, asking the blue team for feedback on potential recruitment contests). The thing is though, is that all your work has largely been hidden in a sub forum or quietly gone about. Recruitment isn't something to be quiet about, go shot it out any chance you get. Recruit for this league, not for some affiliates league that you just joined. It all looks very very lacklustre in rewards to what is being put forward and thus we sit here with the same stale member base we've had.
