Welcome back everyone to another edition of the VHLSC Draft Rankings. It's been another exciting week, although not as exciting as we thought it would be (more on that later). We saw many things in the VHL and VHLM happen this week that bring some weight to our rankings and scouting of each prospect. The VHLM's entered the finals matching Brampton against Bern, the two high powered teams feature many draftees for the upcoming draft. In the VHL, Cologne and Seattle entered the finals after disposing of their opponents in their own conferences. Those two teams making it adjusts some of the draft pick locations for the draft. Also the VHL Entry Draft lottery was held this past week and saw the New York Americans claims the first overall spot.
Now as to the exciting news that turned out not being as exciting. Well this week for the first time in as long as I can remember doing these draft rankings with the VHLSC, we have no movement in our rankings. That's not to say any progression was not done, as many draftees showed up to practice this week. However, no movement was made because the usual suspects made it into the training facilities and just increased their training hours number.
The biggest earner this week was Le'Sean Coutzen followed by Giovanni Reuel who both are making a case for lottery selection in this upcoming draft. Many players continued to not show up this week and General Managers are taking note of the possible lack of dedication.
Other General Managers were unable to be reached by conference call, email or text message. We can only assume these General Managers are inactive like Bushito and will be replaced in due time. Thank you to the General Managers that did respond and get back to us here at the VHL Scouting Centre. Until next week my friends, cheers and go do the VHLM Achievement tracker.
