Is Mikaelsson on a rookie contract? Why is he making 4,000,000 a season? I get talking about raising the cap because of loyalty, but if loyalty was your end game why take a max loaded contract? By the way several teams have kept guys who remained loyal and fit them under the cap. Helsinki seems to be doing pretty good, even able to go acquire one of the top contracts to play goaltender for them by means of a trade. As Chris pointed out, look at New York. They seemed to run over other teams the last 4-5 season with the same core. Hell even going out and grabbing Bentley. So I'm not sure where the argument comes where the VHL Cap needs to increase to reward loyalty and gain a bigger player base in the VHL. Like I stated before, you want more players on your roster and an increased cap? Go out and recruit your asses off so they arrive in shipment size.

How does the cap going up make the league have more players? All that does is make the good teams have more cap room to spend more money and further putting parity in a hole. In order to have these larger teams we'd need an influx of created players coming through. That number is around 35-40 each draft (15ish usually being recreates), which isn't enough considering 10 going inactive before registering 1 measly TPE. So if raising it by 2 Million will not have a huge effect, it won't if we don't raise it either haha. Seattle also has a guy on a rookie contract taking max salary as well as others taking high rookie contracts. Bad example with that one. Davos has two pieces that could be traded off cause they don't fit long term and other players that are semi-active going forward it looks like.

Flyers, I went back to Riga after 6 seasons in Cologne. You go back to Cologne after 8 seasons in Riga. We basically just swapped stories except I did it with a moustache.

I wasn't comparing him to CJ in game play, I was comparing him in the mould of his physical stature. Of course no one can compare to Megatron, but White is coming out of college with the same build.

This. However they are two entirely different styled pass catchers. Cooper is a sure handed length guy much like Reggie Wayne was (not overly speedy compared to others), whereas White is more of a tall powerful receiver much like Calvin Johnson. The Calvin Johnson one is the flashier of the two and people notice those guys more. Whereas receivers like Cooper won't see the headlines for their 9 catches a game which are silent but deadly. Truth be told every one wants to see the "sexy" prospect that ends up pushing headlines, when just about every time he is the same guy who demands a huge contract eventually and you can't pay the rest of your team.

A lot of movement in mocks now because of a ton of poor showings in the combine. Not that the combine is the best judge though, seeing as QB's have fallen under the radar because of it.
