  1. 1. I don't see myself becoming anything in terms of a physical juggernaut, but if I may start trying to block more shots/deliver more hits. A good way to earn your spot on a team is becoming both offensively and defensively gifted, so why not! 2. The key to Yukon's success? We have the best players, and the most active 2nd tier players in the league. Sure we have a bunch of players who have hit the TPE cap already, but we also have active players who haven't hit the TPE cap, and continue making their players better. 3. @Reives because he's the AGM of the Rush, so we need to make sure he's committed to us, not his player's team. Got to set him straight lol 4. Assuming you mean see outside in a fight..... Easy one here, Billy Pilgrim. That dude is gigantic, and gets in fights alllllll the time. On top of that he's one of the best defensemen in the league, so why fight him?

  6. My fondest VHL memory was seeing that my player had finally scored a Goal in a game, after what seemed like weeks of checking religiously for sim updates. Also, hopefully leading Yukon to the Founder's Cup in the near future

  15. Seeing yourself get looked over in the power ratings even though you've been active and were top 5 in TPE earned last week.
  16. WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS A SHIT POST WHICH IS ABOUT THE VHL AS A FORUM EXISTING IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE While the VHL has come to be a great place for all hockey fans, and players alike, one serious issue has yet to be addressed: should people with special abilities be allowed to play in the VHL. Who knows the impact of their TPE on how they actually perform, when their abilities could make them so much stronger. Who's to say the base stat of 40 TPE that all VHLMers start out with is accurate, in a world where a man could pick up and throw an entire airplane across a runway, or travel at superhuman speeds, or even go through walls, or hits for hockey purposes. I feel that the normal stats which are given to a VHL player simply aren't robust enough to properly portray a hockey player with, well, abilities. I think for starters, we need these "abilities" to require TPE to be used, unless somehow the person actually completing the point task can prove that they have abilities, then their unfair advantage from the real world, should transfer into their simulated persona. One can only imagine how VHL greats would stack up against some of the heroes that we see running the streets of New York and fighting Aliens! I hope you enjoyed my take on how to deal with people with abilities and mutants in the VHL, +2 TPE please.

  20. Why can't the Saskatoon Wild win a hockey game? Seriously! Sitting at a 9-25 record at just about the halfway point of the season, the Wild are nowhere near contention for the coveted Founder's Cup, leading many to ask why they're even playing at this point. The answer is of course, that the games are simulated and they aren't actually playing, but that's not what puts this writer's TPE on the table! I decided to take a deep dive into the roster of the Wild, and why exactly they are 43 points back of the superior Yukon team, after 36 games played in the VHLM thus far. The best three players on this pitiful roster are Bastion Logan Mac Finsceal, Jakub Vihliamsson, and Jordan Tonn who have overalls of 53, 52, and 51 respectively. When we look at the Yukon Rush roster, we see that they have 5 players at 59 overall or better. This means that when the simulation machine crunches its numbers, and has these two teams go head to head, it's obvious that one will beat the other - and by a lot. In fact, the Wild are so bad, this reporter has it on record from VHLMs that they circle their games against the Wild on the calendar, to know when they'll be raking in all of those hard earned goals. Up and down, their team overall is 11 lower than the Rush, whatever that means. Does anyone strictly use these team overalls? Is there just some simulation god? Why doesn't my player ever score any goals? Hopefully these 2 TPE will help!
  21. 1. Look, it's not really a rivalry if you guys don't win. No to be honest I'm not too well versed in the VHLM history, but if there's a rivalry I'll be there playing hard, making the Rush name proud. 2. I could leave a team as a free agent if I feel like they don't appreciate my talents. If I'm playing 3rd line center minutes and I'm a 1st line center talent, I could consider leaving for more money. The way in which I would handle the free agency process would be much better than some snakes, and I wouldn't tell a team I was staying if I could leave. 3. I love fighting in hockey, and think it's important for momentum. If you think I won't be cheering at the top of my lungs for Matt Martin or Ross Johnston to kick Tom Wilson's ass, you're wrong. Fighting is essential for momentum, and a great part of the game. Dan Montgomery however, doesn't want to get his hands dirty. 4. Hmm the cocky answer for this is whichever team has the first pick. But honestly, I want to play for a team who's willing to take a chance on me early and draft me. I'll switch to winger if needed, or center if needed, but I want to be on a winning team. 5. My go to move on the shootout is (as a righty) skate down the right side fake the stick left and bring it back around right. Pretty solid move, works really really well in chel.
