  1. 1. I mean, we tried our best. Kinda mad at myself for being so close. Oh well, gotta work harder in the big leagues. 2. I was a bit skeptical, like, really? The 21st would want me? I was surprised Gooning even traded me, but taught me early to expect anything. 3. Hell yeah I am! I can't wait to play in the big leagues and help out a bit. I was surprised that I was first line but still excited. Lots of other guys like Peace, Nguyen, Dabarno, and MacKinnon are gonna be there!
  2. 1. How do you feel being drafted to Riga? 2. Who are you most excited to play with? 3. Any long term goals for the Victory Hockey League? 4. What are you most proud of in your career? 5. Any pregame rituals?
  3. Ok, Matthieu Bourdon
  4. @diamond_ace next up

  8. Review: "The Slovenian Snake" is a fitting nickname for Kastelic. I find it cool that he started off with "the real football" (you have no idea how much I laughed when I read that) and then was inspired by Anze Kopitar to play. Good visuals, and great story. Glad you are a Reign now!
  9. Review: So, 2 things, welcome to the league @BladeMaiden! I love the picture with Wahl and the Bed. I can relate. Happened a lot when I was younger. You're organization and layout is just beautiful and this is really good for a biography. Especially since it is your first time making one. Way better than mine. You can read mine if you want but you'll probably cringe. I love the mention of Tsuyu and the title just makes all the more funnier. So yeah. I hope I get to play with this wall.

  11. Riga-Ryuu has unloaded his stuff. He has finally made it. Riga, where he will play with his new Victory Hockey League Team, the Riga Reign. The Big Leagues. He has dreamed so long for this opportunity, and it has finally arrived. Crimson, Nguyen, and Glade have arrived to Riga. "The excitement here is amazing and it is almost contagious. I can't wait to play for this team and hopefully help them win some cups." He will be the second line winger for the Riga Reign, behind the 1st overall pick, Leph Twinger. "I mean, that means I'll probably be second line for the rest of my career, but I really don't mind because Twinger is an awesome left winger and I'm glad I at least got second line." As soon as Crimson came in, he was greeted with a hug from some natives and was given a jersey. "I am so happy to be here," he said during a press conference, "I really hope I don't disappoint you guys. I'm not really good at speeches so I'll stop here." Welcome to Riga, and enjoy your stay!
  12. Halifax-What comes to mind when you think of Ryuu Crimson? A leader? A loser? A goal-scorer? A narcissist? Well how about a Hockey Gear maker? That's right, Ryuu Crimson has started a hockey gear company. With the help of his teammates and goalies like Pepper, Smith, Mertz, and Weekes, he has tested the gear to make sure they are the perfect quality. He manufactures and sells cups, gloves, sticks, masks, pads, skates, and more! Turns out this isn't new to him, as he got into gear design while recovering from the car accident that he was involved in, that took the life of his friend and dear teammate, Robert King, and then he did it as a hobby until he finally decided to manufacture his designs. His company is called "H21" after his team the Halifax 21st. He released his "Wild" series hockey sticks a while ago, named after his former team the Saskatoon Wild, and is planning on submitting his gear to be used in the Victory Hockey League. "I had some of my friends test it in some pickup hockey games and they said that they worked and were really good. I'm gonna submit these designs and my prototypes are going to be sent to the League for review." Ryuu has also released his "History" set which was his modern adaptation of the gear back then. He tried to make them as authentic as the real ones. Despite the fact that you cannot compare the replicas to the real ones, as the real ones are way more authentic, he thinks it's a good idea due to the fact they are pretty rare. As well as his gear set, he has started a hockey card company. Ryuu Crimson will stay and help the designers. He plans on selling hand drawn hockey cards for their first set called "Alpha" as in the beginning. To help him, he has asked @Pandar and @LordTony if they could join the team. Ryuu Crimson has decided to call his company Lower Deck. (hahahaha get it?) Ryuu Crimson has also asked Kevin Weekes and Alexander Pepper to teach him how to be a goalie during the offseason. He hasn't announced if he was changing positions, but we asked him about it and he said, "Well, I'm sticking to Left Winger for sure. There is a slight, teeny tiny chance I might change in my career, but only if I am good. I just began and I've played goalie in a pickup game. We ended up losing 6-5 in a shootout. People would say that was okay but most of the time the puck was in the offensive zone. I was pulled out for the shootout to give this other guy a chance to play. And yes, I did use my own gear. I tested my prototype goalie gear for my "Reign" set." As you can see, a lot has happened for the young winger. Maybe a bit too fast? Maybe, just maybe. But only time will tell.
  13. Review: This was a really good and well constructed profile. Considering you are a new person, this is really good. I like how you took the time to make an actual stat chart. Very good and I can't really find anything wrong. Welcome to the League Wahl! I hope I get to play alongside you.
  14. Wahl and Peace (War and Peace, wait, it sounds like I'm shipping you and Rylan Peace) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Brick The Brick Wahl Games: Catching Pucks (this one just suuuuuucks) (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire)

  16. 5. I was traded but I am happy I got to be part of your history. 6. New start, plus your name will be engraved in the history forever. 1. I felt great, excited to win a cup. We didn't win, but it was still awesome.

  19. All Baltimore Hockey Teams have retired number 19 in honor of Defensemen Dylan Nguyen. Dylan Nguyen has revived the spirit of the city and given hope to all Baltimore hockey fans. In honour of him and how he's revived the city, the Orioles, Ravens, and Baltimore Bantam Teams have retired his number as well as the University of Maryland. "Honestly, Dylan deserves it," said Ryuu Crimson, teammate of Dylan and possibly Dylan's biggest fan. "I am so proud of him and he has empowered the city of Baltimore and revived the energy." Dylan Nguyen, for those who didn't know, is a defensemen who played for the Saskatoon Wild, the Halifax 21st and is soon to play for the Riga Reign. One day we hope for him to play here in Baltimore, playing in his hometown, wearing the beloved number 19. "The VHL or some league should give us a team so that we can see the second Bobby Orr play here at home." Ryuu Crimson and the legend himself, Dylan Nguyen, are coming with some teammates and other hockey players from the AHL to play some exhibition games in Baltimore, to which Baltimore is going crazy about. Baltimore has blown up with #ComeHomeNguyen. If Dylan loses the game, I am afraid that Baltimore will pull a Vancouver and basically destroy a city. But, the only important thing is that we might not see 19 worn by anyone in a game in Baltimore. Well, not until Dylan comes home. @Dtayl is Dylan if y'all are wondering
  20. Halifax-Ryuu Crimson, Dylan Nguyen and Shawn Glade took a team made out of Halifax Prospects, and they brought them for an exhibition season against other junior teams from other leagues. The Halifax 21st decided why not scout out for future players? There were 4 divisions of teams and 21 regular season games. The Halifax 21st lead the Second Division in 1st place. They ended up winning the division with 20 wins and only one loss. They were 8-1-0 in their own division. The loss was against the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies' Prospects, the Marlies winning 5-3 but then the 21st won the other 3 games against them. The teams were comprised of mostly Junior A and Junior B players, including players from the Calgary Mustangs, Drumheller Dinos, and more. All those who were cheering for the Halifax 21 prospects were not disappointed, seeing 66 goals with only 16 goals against. They also got to watch themselves destroy the league with 11 shutouts. Once it got so bad that they won a game 13 to 0. Regular Season Results *Wild Card Spot They had a fiery playoff season, shutting out the Providence Bruins' Prospects 3-0 the first game, 4-0 the second, and 1-0 for the last two games, sweeping them. Then they moved on to the second round, against the London Bridgers' Prospects. London won the first game 4-0, which the 21st prospects responded by winning the next 4 games. The scores 5-3, 3-1, 2-1 (OT) and 4-3 (OT) respectively. Then the conference finals came along, and they ended up going against the Albany Devils, sweeping them. The scores were 4-0, 3-0, 6-0 and finally 8-0. Then came the finals. Halifax 21st vs the prospects of the Calgary Hitmen. The Calgary Hitmen won the first game 3-2 (OT). Then they won the second 4-0. Halifax came back winning the second game 3-0, and then winning the fourth 4-3 (OT). It was getting tense. The Halifax won game 5, with a score of 3-1. Then the Hitmen came back in Game 6, with a score of 3-2 (OT). It was going to Game 7. In the Scotiabank Saddledome. Now, nobody expected the Hitmen prospects to make it this far. Everyone said that they were going to get swept. Could the Hitmen pull it off? The game was suspenseful. In the first period, there were two goals by the Hitmen. Everyone was shocked. Nobody knew what was going on. The Hitmen had been swept by Halifax in the regular season. They only managed to squeak into a Wild Card spot by one point, and they had only 33 goals for. In the second, Halifax got one goal. They fought hard for that goal, and were now only one point behind, was it enough? In the third period, they got another goal, and another. They were the ones leading now, and they were excited. But then, with only a minute to go, the Hitmen tied the game. It was going into overtime. Halifax fought hard, but they were losing almost all the faceoffs, and the Hitmen were leading in shots, 11-3. But soon, Halifax were picking up their pace. Soon they were close in shots, 20-17. But it wasn't enough. The Hitmen made a beautiful play and had scored a goal. The Hitmen had won. Or so they thought. As the 21st prospects were going off the ice, the Saddledome erupting with cheering, there was a review of the play. It was goaltender interference. The 21st still had a chance! They fought even harder and brought the game to second overtime. But was it enough? The short answer is.....maybe. It could be. But they were still losing faceoffs and most of the time the Hitmen had possession. And, with 5 minutes and 4 seconds on the clock. There was a goal. By the Halifax 21st.
  21. Then there's me, the Saskatoon Wild player
  22. 1. How do you feel making it to the finals 2 times in a row and failing to win the cup? 2. Any changes planned for the Halifax 21st for the new season? 3. What are you excited for in the VHL? 4. What role do you want to play in Riga? 5. Who would you say is your role model in the VHL?
  23. 1) It feels great, knowing that I was one of the first players and that I had an opportunity to engrave my name in this team's history. 3) A goal scorer in general. Nothing more really. 4) It seems more lively. There are rivalries like Mertz vs Pepper, and people are always teasing each other about stuff. Plus, more interesting things happen in the VHLM like Line screwups + everyone is so competitive.
  24. @Cornflakers dont worry, I've run out of ideas so I'm stopping, plus, making these are too easy.
