Uhtred has had an eventful off-season. He signed an extension with the Seattle bears but failed in his attempt at joining the triple gold club. Uhtred had a pretty successful world cup stats wise but his European team were knocked out in round one. Uhtred finished the round robin second in goals with 7, just 2 behind bears teammate Kris Rice. Uhtred went into the medal round full of confidence against Canada. Uhtred's Bears teammates Timothy Brown and Kris Rice shut the door on his triple gold attempt. While Uhtred had a great game scoring 2 goals and an assist. This turned out to be not enough as Kris Rice got the hat trick with his overtime winner with Timothy Brown assisting on the winner. Rice was named first star with Uhtred and Brown named 2nd and 3rd and the bears will hope that happens often in the upcoming season. Uhtred will now have one more chance to win the World cup if he makes the roster for his last eligible world cup in 2 seasons from now. The loss was very disappointing for Uhtred but he was happy to sign a deal with Seattle to remain a bear potentially for the rest of his carer. Uhtred signed a 2 year extension that will bring him to the end of his career. "I love playing in Seattle and it would be great to finish my career here. I don't have a no trade clause so anything can happen but it would be great to play my whole career with one organization. If my play drops in the final year of the deal and they want to trade me ill accept that but my preference would be to retire a bear"

The Seattle Bears title defense season ends in a disaster yet again. The Seattle bears were eliminated by the Toronto Legion in 5 games this season in round 2 this time although the bears first series in the new playoff format. This is the same amount of games that saw the bears eliminated by New York Americans in season 72. The loss ends the carer of a couple bears defenseman legends in Hulk Hogan and Berocka Sundqvist. Both defenseman were vital parts of the bears dynasty which saw the pair win 4 continental cups and a victory cup with the bears. Both players have retired playing their whole career with the Bears. Both players also won the Alexander Beketov Trophy and both of them shared the trophy with another player that season. Hulk Hogan was drafted 5th overall in season 67 and went on to play 576 games with the bears, scoring 105 goals and 444 assists. Hogan won the Alexander Beketov Trophy in the season 71 cup winning season with 63 assists that season. Berocka Sundqvist was drafted 17th overall in season 67 and went on to play 504 games with the bears, scoring 125 goals and 312 assists. Sundqvist won the Alexander Beketov Trophy in the disappointing season 72 title defence campaign with 70 assists that season.

1. Thoughts on how we ended the season? The season ended well for Uhtred as he hit 101 points but it was a disappointment team wise to not win the conference. 2. Were you happy with your players play and results this season? I was happy as Uhtred had a career season scoring 101 points. He also won the unofficial lowest pim award after losing it on a tie breaker last year. 3. Thoughts on playing Toronto in "round 2"? Maybe make a prediction if you're feeling bold? With the series no over it was a major disappointment. I would have said bears in 5 but should have known better. The sim hates us the year after we win. After Uhtred's first cup we lost in round 1 the next season too. 4. Who was the Bears MVP this season? This one is hard as we have alot of great players here in Seattle. I will go with hogan and rice as co MVP 5. What are you willing to sacrifice to BABA GANUSH to give us the powers and dark magic luck to beat TOR? I guess it my fault we lost this series. I didn't sacrifice enough it seems. 6. Are you excited for Halloween? What are your plans? I've never been a big Halloween guy. With covid we just put out a candy bowl for the kids to take. We live in Toronto which is one of the hotspots in the country and we got alot less kids because of it. BONUS** 7. What is one of your favorite meals and why? Pizza and pasta. When having Italian we split a pizza and then order a pasta dish as the main. Great way to have both of my favourite foods in one meal. That was supposed to be last nights dinner but stupid restaurant/skip the dishes didn't send the pizza.

Uhtred scored over 100 points for the first time in his career this season, hitting 101 points. . Uhtred sure did leave iit right up until the final 2 games of the season to reach the century mark. With 9 games left in the season he was nine points shy of 100 and given his points per game pace at the time it looked like it was inevitable. In the 7 games after getting to 91 points, Uhtred had 4 games without scoring a point. Uhtred had a total of 95 points with 2 games left and still had a shot at 100 but would take some great performances to do so. In the second last game of the season against Toronto Uhtred got 2 Assits which meant he would need 3 in the final game against Los Angeles. Uhtred got on the board early with an assist on Campbell's pp goal 6:30 into the game. The second period went scoreless leading Uhtred to need a big third period. The bears opened the scoring on the powerplay with Uhtred assisting on a Timothy Brown goal. Uhtred was now just a point away from the century club with nearly a period to go. Uhtred hit the 100 point mark with another powerplay assist his 60thof the season. Uhtred after the game thanked for giving him extra powerplay time in his attempt to reach 100. "Blake Campbell spoke to me after practice before the final 2 games of the season and let me know that he will do his best to try to help me reach 100 points by giving me extra powerplay time. This is what makes him such a special GM, he wants to win and things like this inspire his players to be the best they can be. Guys love playing in Seattle and he is the reason why players keep resigning with the team. He cares about his guys. I can't thank him enough for helping me become the player that I am today.

1. The season is dwindling down. What place do the Bears finish? Second in north america, looks like we cant catch Vancouver unless they lose the last 4 games 2. Which of Prague, Helsinki or Davos will miss the playoffs? Tight race over there! I will go with prague as they play helsinki and vancouver. whoever loses that prague and helsinki game will likely be out. 3. Will Hogan get 1,000 shots blocked? You give him advice, what is it? Unfortunately it looks like he will fall just short of 1,000. My advice is to let us forwards turn the puck over if we have a big lead so that he can try and get more blocks 4. Who has been the Bears "hero" for this season? Feel free to name a few. Kris Rice has been great and has helped Uhtred to have a career year. Hulk Hogan who is a beast back there who can score and eat pucks. 5. Who has been a nice surprise for Seattle this season? Feel free to name a few. Uhtred getting close to 100 points, I didnt expect that. Tonn leading the league in shutout is great and didnt expect that one 6. Who do you want to face first in the playoffs? Why? I dont care who we play as we can beat any team in the league.

Uhtred has hit new career high in Assits and points this season. With 7 games remaining in the season Uhtred has scored 38 goals and 53 assists for 91 points on the season. Both the assists are career highs with his previous best at 46 assists and 89 points. With 7 games to go Uhtred has a shot at hitting the century mark for the first time in his career. He has gone pointless in his last 2 games so will need to get hot to accomplish that feat. Uhtred is scoring at 1.4 points per game this season and if he can keep that production up over the 7 remaining he should be able to reach 100 points. At that production level he's expected to get 9.8 points the rest of the season which gives him just a small margin of error. Uhtred has been playing great when on a line with Kris Rice and Timothy Brown. Uhtred has also been scoring at a higher rate since the big trade deadline deal that brought Jim Bob to the bears in exchange for Ola Vikingstad. Uhtred has just 2 penalty minutes on the season which would tie his career low he set last season if he were to finish the final 7 games without a penalty.

What is something you want to get done this week? Cleaning the house to get it clean for when baby comes 2. What were your thoughts on the boring trade deadline? It was not boring for us. We got a great player 3. What did you think of this seasons theme week? Who was your MVP on your team? Didn't care for it, least favourite one since I've been in the league 4. What do you think next seasons theme week should be? I don't know. Not the creative type. 5. A company wants to sponsor your player. Who is it? Faxe beer as Uhtred loves beer and considers him self to be part Viking. 6. Your player bought a pet. What did they buy? What did they name it? He bought a hunting dog to hunt on his estate in bebbanburg. The dog will be named Ragnar

I am now in my fourth season with the bears and that means that alot more will be expected of me now that I'm no longer on my rookie deal. It has been a great start to my career here in Seattle as we have won the cup twice in my first three seasons in the VHL. It's was a great dominant performance by us last season in winning the the victory cup to go along with the one everyone wants the continental cup. There have been a lot of changes as some of our great players retired or moved on due to the salary cap and because of that I have placed higher expectations on myself. Bears forward greats like Scott Greene and Ambrose stark are no longer with us so I really need to step up my play to try and make up for the loss of those legends. I am not a very loud presence in the locker room but I can be a silent leader by showing all the younger bears how to be a professional hockey player day in and day out. I pride myself on working hard and doing whatever it takes to help us win. In my first season here we won a cup and I was more than happy to be more of a role player and chip in offensively when I got the chance. I can share this experience with some of the rookies like Campbell and rocket and encourage them them that they can make great contributions to winning a cup even if it doesn't show up on the scoresheet. It's great to score goals and put up alot of points but what's most important to me is winning and I hope I can instill that desire to win in the younger bears. My expectations for myself are to continue to put up the high scoring numbers as that's the strength of my game. That said I have also been working very hard on the defensive part of the game so that I can be a more well rounded player out there. I am not a physical player so I need to keep working on my positioning and work ethic on the defense side of the game. They say defense wins championship and although I don't really agree with that statement its still an important part of the game. I feel that to win you need to be great at both ends of the rink and just can't rely on one just being great in one of the zones. That's another aspect I want to share with my teammates. You may not be the biggest, stongeest or fastest player in the league but if you have a great work ethic then you'll be successful in this league. Everyone who plays in the VHL is a very talent hockey player but what separates a good player from a great player is your work ethic or as some call it your compete level. My words of advice to young bears would be to always work hard and focus on playing great at both ends of the rink. If you're not producing at the level you want but you have that compete level at max then guys will fight tooth and nail for you. A perfect bear player is one who gives it 100% every single game, one who is loyal and one who is willing to accept whatever role the team needs you to play to win another continental cup.

What are your thoughts on the Bears start so far? Our typical start to the season. We start slow and then begin to climb in the second quarter of the season. Will Hogan hit 1,000 SB by the end of the season? I Think he will. He's off the pace to due it right now but he still has to me to do it Will Rocket or Isabella Campbell finish with more points? Both have 4 G, 4 A and 8 PTS as of this Q. I would say Isabella would finish higher at the time of this question. Now that Isabella has 5 more points my answer is the same. What are your plans for Halloween? No plans. Hoping my wife stays pregnant into November so that baby is close to full term What are some things you’ve dressed up as during your lifetime? Either adult or as a kid? I don't remember too many but beikeibe I was a ninja turtle as I loved it. Any kid in the 90s probably loved them It's Fall time. Looking back on summer, what was your best memory or best time? Hearing the baby heart beat for the first time. With covid and my wife's pregnancy we have had a quiet summer, normally we'd be traveling or at the Inlaws cottage.

What are your thoughts on the Bears winning the cup? It was amazing. To win my second cup in just my third season felt great. Hope we can go back to back 8. Do you think Jacob Tonn will be able to step up and earn the starter role? Yes he will grow into the role and help us win another cup. 9. What are your thoughts on the team trading away @DoktorFunk? It sucked to see him go as he was a great player for us and a great teammate but in a cap world changes can be forced 11. Predict who will win the cup? This answer should always be the bears. I want to win every season. So far it's been every other so time to break that pattern 18. What is your favorite food? I'd have to say pizza with pasta being a close second. 19. What is your favorite thing to drink? If alcoholic beverage that's a hard one to answer, depends on the day as I love beer, wine and whiskey . If non alcohol coke.

Uhtred has won a cup every other season so far in his career, which means he's won a cup in every odd season in his career so far . He began his VHLM career by signing with the clear cut founders cup favourites the Saskatoon Wild. Uhtred was willing to take a lesser roll in his first season to chase a title and he achieved that goal in season 69. The next season (70) as a member of the San Diego Marlins he was eliminated in the second round. That was to be his final season in the VHLM as he was drafted 9th overall by the New England Patriots of the VHL, the Seattle Bears. Uhtred had a decent rookie season for the bears scoring 22 goals and 26 assists. In the playoffs he helped the bears win the cup soring a goal to go with 6 assists. A contenental cup title was a great way to start a career with 2 cups on 4 seasons Uhtred has developed cup fever. Season 72 was terrible for both Uhtred and the bears as his production dropped and the bears were eliminated in just 5 games in the first round. This motivated Uhtred to work even harder in season 73. Uhtred had a great year this season scoring 43 goals and 46 assists to help the bears to a Victory Cup. A victory cup is great but what he really wanted was a continental cup. Uhtred was motivated to get it done and helped the bears with the Cup with 7 goals and 7 assists with 2 being game winners. So with cups in 69,71 and 73 Uhtred is looking to break pattern in season 74. Of course if he doesn't break the pattern in season 74 he will be entering season 75 hoping the pattern continues.
