  1. Effort: 2/2 - For sure Look: 2.75/3 - Text is my main issue, contrary to lobo. I think a thin sans-serif font would have worked better. Nice effects though. Creativity: 1/1 - Very cool work Final: 6/6
  2. Pseudoephedrine was what he was caught with, basically allergy medication. Even if he didn't take anything he wasn't playing, migraines are brutal.
  3. 4:00 AM for you I believe. I think it starts on the hour.
  4. Finally got a couple points. Good start!
  5. TSN analysts criticized him for not doing anything about Canada matching Toews against Kessel, when the US had last change. However, I don't think it would have changed too much, considering the defensive depth Canada has.
  6. Probably not a 6 imo. It's got some cool ideas in it but the player looks really strange. The render looks a bit like a picasso painting. It could work if the bg was brightened up a bit and you let the original render come through a bit more.
  7. Probably my favourite from you ever, sick work.
  8. I think that would be way more practical and exciting. Too hard to get a bunch of people on at the exact same time.
  9. You're not allowed to watch at all tomorrow then
  10. Yeah, some pretty brutal calls both ways, but still a great game.
  11. WOOOOOOO CANDADA A AHAHAHAHA CANADA
  12. Yeah from what I read the ultrabay is an interchangeable port so you can take out the second graphics card and put in a CD drive or more HD space.
  13. 'Not enjoyment, and not sorrow, Is our destined end or way ; But to act, that each to-morrow Find us farther than to-day' This means "Don't worry about finding happiness or worrying about sadness, just improve yourself each day" vs 'I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter' Which is the opposite. They're saying "I worked hard for happiness and didn't get it so it doesn't matter". That's all I'm giving you.
  14. There's plenty of lines in there that relate. Plenty of references to time, life, importance of becoming a better person etc. Also, the instruction said compare - that means you can talk about the different outlook that Longfellow and Linkin Park had, pessimistic vs optimistic etc.
  15. Which ones? They were probably chosen for a reason.

I say we forget this happened and share pictures of puppies.
  17. Have you read any specific poems of his?
  18. d3vil, feel free to ask myself, any of the current GMs or mostly anyone if you have questions about the job. I'm sure you'll do great.
  19. Longfellow's style was often considered to be lyrical in nature, and had high melodic value. He rarely wrote about specific events, but instead wrote about the message/meaning. He used a lot of allegory to illustrate his ideas (he symbolized death as a child being cranky to go to bed). It's easy to say that this song is just a depressive reflection of life, ("It doesn't really matter", "The clock ticks life away" etc.) but it could be seen as having a deeper meaning. It could be interpreted as sort of a lesson learned in life, the "doesn't matter" line could mean that he no longer cares about the relationship and is moving on. Hope this gets the ball rolling.
  20. I have Windows 8, and I think the hate about it is overblown. It's nearly identical in functionality with Windows 7. The "Metro" thing is really not a big deal. When you hit the Windows button it pops up, and without clicking anything you can type to search for anything on your computer, it's actually pretty convenient. I never use the Windows "Apps", I just stick to regular programs. Basically, I wouldn't let Windows 8 get in the way of your decision. For Windows laptops, I'd also check out Lenovo and MSi.
