Wolf scoring 1 of his 4 on the season Sven Wolf entered Season 49 as a free agent and elected to sign with the Brampton Blades (who arguably were one of the stronger teams and led by excellent management in @Smarch). During that season, Wolf showed that his skill was just as high as his potential and night in - night out showed the fans that he can easily be one of the best players on the ice for the organization. The young, highly scouted VHL prospect made it his mission to shape his game into an elite play maker. To be the guy on the other end of the goal and there was two reasons for that. "Almost every goal needs an assist, so I'd love to be that guy that makes it happen", the young center stated. "Of course, who wouldn't love to put the puck in the net, but how bad ass is it to also help create the magic and then watch it happen". Wolf played his heart out during the season. If he wasn't on the ice, he was going for a run or in the gym training to develop his skills and make him stronger in every area. As a result, Wolf managed to throw up some pretty impressive numbers throughout the year - only slightly trailing top team leaders Axelsson and Maxwell. On the year, Sven managed to score 18 goals and help on 65 for a total of 83 points in 72 games. Not too fucking bad for a newer rookie to the league at the time. As the season dwindled down, playoffs came to an end, the training still continued as he headed into the off-season. While there was still much excitement, Wolf knew where he was ending up. The Seattle Bears were lucky enough to pick up quite a few great players during the draft and to top of the list, Sven Wolf sat. His jersey's were flying off the shelf, fans were excited and the atmosphere was buzzing in Seattle. A young team missing a center now has a young kid who has the potential to become an elite force in the face off circle and throughout the VHL. However, during the season, the buzzed started to die down. While he was great for a rookie in the face off area of the game, his offensive skills lacked and while lots were surprised, anyone who knew anything sort of expected it. The kid was young, much less developed than his teammates and on the first line facing off against players with 300-700 more TPE than him. It's safe to say that the numbers he posted, we're nothing short of good. With 4 goals, 27 assists and 31 points in 72 games, Wolf managed to still make a slight impression with fans and show them that he can only improve. Wolf to Podarok for the nice backhander against Quebec Meute. As stated prior, he's focused his attention on becoming a play making forward in the VHL and since slightly prior to the end of the regular season, he's placed all of his attention in that area. Making great strides, every training session was dedicated to passing and making him stronger in that area. As of today, his passing sits at 92 overall and we think this is going to have a great affect on him next season. While it may be easy to say what he's going to train next, we can't be too sure. How the kid is going to do next season, is about the same. Could go either way depending on how hard he continues to push and what the Bears can do this off-season. However, we did manage to speak to him about these 2 things and this is what he quickly had to say for us. "For training purposes, I'm happy with how my passing game has progressed and now I'm going to train my game to compliment what I've worked so hard on lately. I want to become stronger. I don't want to lose the puck or be so easily hit. I want to focus on strength and of course, puck handling and skating. As for next season, I'm not too focused on that. I'm focused on each training season and how I can improve so that next season I'm a strong factor. I guess If I had to put a number on it.. I'm shooting for a point per game!"

Although I've yet to hear it or see anything about it, I was mentioned in a post by the one and only @eaglesfan036 fan regarding the 2 open recruitment leader positions. In the post, Eagles stepped down from a commish position, something at which he's done an absolutely amazing job at over the last many, many seasons to join and form a hopefully effective, successful recruitment team with myself. Throughout my fairly decent amount of time on the VHL, I've been a VHLM GM, VHL GM and World Cup GM but have never had a job or role outside that of being a manager. This recruitment role, if actually awarded to us, is extremely important to me as the VHL is a lot of fun and is a great way to kill time and kill my fantasy hockey thirst. This was an amazing way to kill time writing this to earn myself 1 TPE. Now time to message my girl eeguls and get going #FuckYeVHL #RecruitMotherFuckers

Team Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland) I've won Silver with Team USA and have brought a gold medal to Team Scandinavia. Like last time around, the odds were stacked against us, but I'd love to try and bring another successful campaign to our nations and maybe start breaking some records for wins and tenure as a World Cup GM/Team Scandinavia GM. I apply for Scandinavia (duh).

Bogdan Podarok has been the big A+ for the Bears this season. The story is getting old, but similar to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, until the Bears complete their turn around (rebuild) successfully, the story will continue to be told. Last season, the Bears decided to put a lot of their assets into the pot, only to fold their hand and run away with whatever they could. From bringing in some significant free agents to making some bold trades, the Bears eventually reversed everything that they had done, however, came off not too bad when getting valuable assets in return. With multiple picks, the Bears landed some keys pieces, two great young players (AK47 & Sven Wolf) and a future elite goalie in Jakab Holik. For such a quick flip, the future already looked quite bright for the Seattle organization. As the wheels continued to spin, we hit the S50 VHL Entry Draft, which we all know was a far shot from an amazing draft, but still had some excellent talent. The Bears managed to pick up a few solid "B" rated prospects, whom range from 6.5B to 7.5C on VHLProspects.com. As the season progressed, the Bears seemed to find quite a few winning streaks and at one point had their star young player, Bogdan Podarok, chasing the points and goal scoring championship, potentially landing him and the rebuilding team their first trophy into the rebuild. However, with some more moves - bringing in some S52 1st rounders and such, the team consistently remained around the bottom of the league, specifically one spot out of playoffs behind the Calgary Wranglers. The Seattle Bears finished the season with a record of 28-38-6, missing the S50 post season by 14 points and now head off to their homes to sit on the couch and wish they were playing rather than their opponents. Some may potentially sit and sulk, but for one person, it will be the complete opposite. While a lot of people go home to spend time with their families, take a break from the long, difficult schedules that take a toll on the mind and body and train to maintain and better their bodies and skills for the next season, GM Campbell won't be going anywhere anytime soon. In his office he will remain, looking over this seasons and S52's prospects lists, evaluating his organization and his opponents and looking to figure out what the next step of his rebuild is, or, if he already has it, how he will pull it off. Giving us a good look into his thoughts on the season, GM Campbell gave a statement earlier today in Seattle. Campbell hopes to find the same success he found in the VHLM, in the VHL. "Coming into the season, I don't think one single person had us making playoffs. We had an incredible amount of inexperienced youth that was getting their first taste of the game and it's obvious that the first year demand of the fans and pressure exceeded reality and they obviously didn't perform how a lot of fans thought they would. Me? I'm absolutely proud of the team, what they accomplished this season and how well they've managed to stick to the team during these difficult, straining times. A rebuild like this isn't easy, but it's something they we're all willing to become apart of or if traded to us, learned to accept and be more than okay with. These rebuilds are tough because the players give up an extreme amount and put there trust in me and hope that it works out. Possibly though, it may not and that's something that looms over my head and there's from time to time but it's important to block those things out. This season was a stepping stone for us and in my mind, was part of step one. We sold off assets and brought in a young core - now it's time for step two and that's obviously to go out and find other assets, whether it be through trade, free agency or the draft. The future is bright in Seattle and as time progresses, I see more clearly how to bring success to the team and finally show the boys that trusting the process wasn't the wrong choice. They deserve it! They're an amazing, loyal group of players and I will continue to work my ass off to give them what they deserve and that's a fucking cup.

Could this be the future rivalry when it comes to the North American conference? For quite sometime now, Quebec and Toronoto have safely ruled over the conference, but with multiple aging players, limited assets and two young teams looking to push through the playoff/contending barrier, could this all change? If things swapped and we seen Calgary and Seattle begin to go neck and neck with it, what could we expect? When GM Campbell of the Bears was asked this question, this was his response.. I expect a blood bath. Both teams have good GM's. I can't overly evaluate myself, but I like to think I do an okay job. Wranglers GM has a plan and is executing is efficiently right now and that just means if both teams can stay on track, they're gonna be some crazy games and hopefully series. Both teams have great assets and the right pieces to make the swap in the conference and I think it's only a matter of time to see what's going to happen. Either way, I hope the swap happens and we create a few fun seasons for both squads.

I'd like to apply. Previously before, I had come forward with numerous sites which had large member amounts on them. I think I'd have a lot of unique, alternative ideas to offer which could potentially bring in some new members. We (myself, Draper and possibly Eagles?) had spoken about this before, however, guarantee pay, position or job responsibility was not put in place. With now more structure, I think it will be successful. I'd like to brainstorm and bring my ideas to the table and bring a bigger, brighter future towards the VHL.

Hey bud, that's your ship to steer now.

BUT, his scoring his 99 PA 90 +. I'm sure it's just an odd slump. Maybe tougher teams the last 10+ or so? Dunno.

This is about correct. Partially why last time I looked I had like 2 goals, 18 assist in 40 some odd games. I was always told to have a nice little gap between the 2 if you wanted to be either or. If your passing is higher than scoring, dont expect to score as much imo. Your player will have the tendency in the sim to pass rather than say, shoot
