  1. The Seattle Bears have in recent years been a fairly consistent hot spot when it comes to free agents looking for a new home. From some minor talent to elite talent, the Bears have picked up quite a few names. For the upcoming off season, the Bears hope for the pattern to continue. As most are aware, during their elite FA frenzy, the Bears decided to change routes mid journey and go a different direction. Unlike then, the team is in better condition, have great young assets and are coming along nicely while also being in a weaker conference than last year surely helps. For starters, it all starts in our net. Holik is a great young goalie and he's going to be the cornerstone from what we're doing here. It's a delicate process as we dont want to waste his prime. Then we got Bogdan Podarok. I mean, guys been an offensive force for us this season. We hope a lot of players around the league would be excited to play with a player like that. With those 2, we have numerous other significant youth pieces - as well as a few trade talks in the mix. We really want to attract those FA's, speed up the process and hoist a cup.
  2. Id love for you to elaborate on this as I cant seem to find 5 franchise players at this moment. Let's hear reasonings on each prospects. Im not doubting any prospect and this isn't Seattle slamming spects or being unintetested. Simply, a conversation opener and Im intrigued to see your answer. Again, franchise is a proven player imo. Streetlight, Kendrick, Draper etc. Previous history of inactivity, leaving or current semi-acitivity imo disqualifies them. Skye is #1 likely, yes. Deservingly so. Also, as always, good write up @Kendrick
  3. Lucky W. Got our asses handed to us. GG Riga.
  4. Points are over rated.
  5. Your team would still suck (even more) if we hadn't dealt our entire team to you. Let me finish this shit, then kiss my ass.
  6. Congrats for beating a team you should beat. Go on now. Run upstairs and tell your mom you won!
  7. GG Riga.
  8. Have been working like crazy lately and worked a 13 hour shift yesterday on 1.5 hours sleep (long story). Luckily, the article didn't shit the bed too bad.
  9. Gonna use my magic powers here I see the future and it looks potentially about the same as the last few seasons. The Toronto Legion have been the most dominant team in the league for the past 2 seasons and have once again carried it on this season. They're first in the league, ahead of the 2nd team (Cologne), by 5 points and are currently on the hottets last 10 game streak with a record of 9-1-0. While their offense hasn't pushed into first place for most goals scored, the same and usual Hans Winsgate has claimed the top position for least goals allowed and is safely carrying his team once again. So the question we have to ask is "With 2 clear cut potential champs in each conference, will the other bottom teams matter and if not, who takes the cup between the Express and Toronto?". As stated, their are two clear cut potential champs in the two conference. The North American being Toronto and the European champ being the Cologne Express. Behind each team, you don't see another team with another hot record, an extreme amount of dominance over the season or anything special. You see a whole group of teams with similar records, similar streaks and struggles and nothing to run home to tell your fuck buddy about. While it's obvious other teams are stronger, that don't mean fuck all as their records are still shit. So with this information and all the other shit available to us on the interweb, I shall try my best to look into my crystal ball and predict the future based off the standings today. Round ONE of S50 Playoffs Meute VS Bears 4-1 Meute Let's get real here. Even as badly as I'd like to say I'd kick Brovy in the cock as a struggling team and eliminate them from playoffs, sending him off to cry like a little bitch, probably not going to happen. Meute is still a solid team and although we have similar records and aren't too far off with points, their elite talent and depth is much stronger. Meute takes the series in 5 games, but the Bears manage to steal game 3 just for shits and gigs. Dynamo VS Titans 4-1 Dynamo I'm not quite sure what is it, how it is or any sort of scientific bull shit that could figure this out, but Davos and the Titans have similar records, while Davos should be light years ahead. Same as the Meute/Bears right up, pretty simple to pick a chosen godly like winner here and we'll have to roll off with the team that I built VIA trade, da Dynamo. Titans get a game in their just to get a cheap shot at Robbie. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROUND TWO Meute VS Legion 4-2 Legion This will be a tough one and we're thinking it's going to go down to the nail. Either team could win and I'd love to be the one to predict that Meute will be the ones to fuck the Legions chances at a threeee-peat or some shit. Simply put, they won't. Winsgod will battle that shit off and they will fall. Meute lose in 6. Express VS Dynamo 4-3 Express Unlike the series above, it's not going to be as close but potentially has the ground to go the same distance. I'm thinking that this series is going to be tighter than a 18 yr old first starting out in porn and it could go either way. At this point in the regular season, we're going to roll out and give it to the Express. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finals Express Vs Legion 4-1 Legion Winsgod holds them together, much stronger team and take advantage of that weak ass goaltending in Cologne. Mo fuckas hoist the cup again. Only way Toronto loses is if QUE beats them imo.
  10. WOLF with the SO Winner. Holik with the Winning save!
  11. Two lower tier teams battlin er out!
  12. Express Bears Legion Meute
  13. Never hurts to continue to try in my opinion. One more person we have tomorrow is one more person than we had today. Our members base is limited and almost seems like we're losing more old members than gaining new members. Facebook may be a good place to advertise, but maybe we could find better or expand from there. This, of course, only possible with money or a surplus. Maybe not welfare, but adding an additional donation option or two may be something that is nice. Maybe $40 and you get a bonus free week, double week and 10 TPE. etc - maybe 20 TPE. A surplus is never a bad thing. It gives us MORE option to hopefully help the league. What we do on SHL, VHL is tough. It's an acquired taste to enjoy what we do on these sites. Maybe prior to expanding our advertising, we need a committee of people to come together, look around the internet and find some ACTUAL quality places that we can advertise for and come together to actually figure out how many people will see the ad. How much time did the AD get on FB? Was it on their constantly for everyone to see? Was it easy to see? Where was it on the page? Can we throw an AD on google? Make us one of the first things you search when you search "VHL" or "Hockey League" or Fantasy Hockey etc.
  14. Quite a few great FA's... Bears are very excited for the off season! Have some great pieces now - some good pieces for the S52 draft and hopefully NYA continues to give us a top pick for S51.
  15. Game 201, Day 67 - Express VS Bears
  16. I'm pretty sure you knew what we meant, right?
  17. Accept and to be PROCESSED AFTER game 41. Nuck will remain a Bear until that point.
  18. You have got to be shitting me. Two times in a row VS Toronto? #CupOrBust Fuck, maybe Brovy will get a cup.
  19. Obviously not doing it for the money and was just an emotional show. Fans were loud and crazy as fuck but he ended it and the band left, he just stayed and looked around and wiped some tears and shit. Crowd ate it up - they cam back out after 10 minutes of rowdiness and played a few more.
  20. Heh, I needed writing material, but yeah. I went to the Hip on Saturday. Was pretty great to see a dying man give it 110% and how the fans and him reacted.
  21. Saturday night, Sven Wolf - his player agent and lady friend took in the Tragically Hip concert. While either of the 2 boys were extremely huge fans, the lady friend quite enjoyed them as a group. With front man Gord Downie on his last limbs as he's battling from terminal illness, the show was for sure worth it. When asked about the experience, this is what they had to say. "Honestly, I know like 10 Hip songs but they only played 4 I really, really liked. When we got the seats we didn't think they'd be anything special as they opened up seats behind and to the side of the stage, but the stage ended up being all opened and had 4 large screens - one being on each side. The crowd was amazing and left my ears ringing and you could tell that Gord didn't do it for the money. At the end, he just smiled and stood up on stage as his band left slowly turning around, shedding some tears and taking it all in. A 10 minute standing cheer showing crazy love and they came back out and played my favorite tune "Scared" and Grace, Too. All in all, bad ass concert and Gord is a total legend in my eyes. Emotional concert and a crazy, loud as fuck group of fans". Was bad ass guys.
  22. Youll learn to love each other like I've learned to love you twats. <3
