  1. Rookie sensation in his own mind, Girts Galvins took the ice with his new team the Warsaw Predators on Sunday and found himself on the 2nd line with Omi Aberg and Robert Wilk. It's just pre-season but Girts was fired up, taking 4 shots in his first game and registering an assist in his 2nd game, both big wins for Warsaw who should be a better team than last season as they made some key call ups and off-season moves. Girts was honored to start the pre-season with great players like Omi Aberg and Robert Wilk, we expect this line to build chemistry as the season gets going. We know Galvins will be working hard to improve each week. Girts wanted to give a shoutout to his fellow Warsaw rookie and last seasons teammate in Bratislava, Brian Payne, who came out of the gate on fire with 2 goals and 2 assists in his first pre-season games for Warsaw. Galvins and Payne look to be a big part of Warsaw's future. We'll follow these two closely as the season progresses.

  2. 1. Of course I think Warsaw is one of the favourites, we have a strong group and great coaching. I also think Moscow will be pretty good this season.

    2. It seemed a bit long, but I'm ok with a long off-season, I think it was like 3 weeks, so maybe 2 weeks would be better.

    3. That'd be quite an achievement, but I think he could be, he's on pace to be the greatest leafs goal scorer of all-time, but he needs to do it for much longer to be considered as great as some of the other leafs legends.

    4. Hard to say but I'd probably guess around 90 points.

    5. As a mid 400's tpe rookie I'd be happy with 20 goals and around 40 points.

    6. Yes I do follow NFL but not super up to speed on the current draft, I'd probably say that huge offensive linemane though, cant remember his name but saw some talk about him.

  3. Warsaw Predators rookie Girts Galvins is poised and ready to take the VHL by storm in Season 83. After coming off a strong campaign in both the VHLE last season and a fantastic performance in VHLM the season before, there's nothing about his game that says he won't have a great rookie season for Warsaw. Depending on his spot in the line up he could even challenge for rookie of the year. That said there's a lot of talented rookies making their debut in the VHL and probably a handful with more tpe than Girts but we're confident he will be able to make his mark this season and help Warsaw win a lot of games. Right now we have no idea how a lot of players will perform under the new attribute and tpe system, so everything is a bit up up the air but Girts is confident in his new build and thinks it will do well. We won't know until we are about 20 games in what's working in the new system but either way Girts Galvins is going to put forth a great effort this season and bring his best game to Warsaw.

Answer 3 for 1 TPE, OR 6 for 2 TPE

    1. The draft is now done and complete, Warsaw drafted prospect Sock Monkey, how do you feel about the pick?
    2. Who do you believe will have a breakout season?
    3. Warsaw seems to be close at signing Tui Sova (v.2), however nothing is confirmed yet. Do you think this signing can happen? If so how should Dlamb convince him and if not why?
    4. Is there any contenders you are scared of in the upcoming season?
    5. What are you doing this offseason? Any plans?
    6. Are there any good shows you are watching and recommend?

    1. Sock Monkey was a great pick, seems to be a skilled player with a bright future ahead of him.

    2. I'm going to say Girts Galvins, he's coming into his rookie season hot and anything he does will be considered a break out.

    3. Dlamb should convince him by promising to not post the nude pics he has of his wife, that usually works well. So yeah given that info I think the signing can happen.

    4. I am scared of no teams because Warsaw has great players and great gm's and coaches, we can beat anyone. Our team never steps on the ice scared, we are always confident and strike fear in OUR opponents.

    5. I'm doing a lot of sleeping, resting up for my first VHL season.

    6. I recently watched Vikings-Valhala, was pretty good, especially if you liked the first Viking series.

  5. Girts Galvins had a great tournament for Team Europe leading them in goals with 6 and points with 11 during round robin play. His 6 goals were also good for 3rd in the medal round as well. Former Bratislava teammate Bo Johansson led team Europe with 9 assists and was also 3rd in round robin for assists, tied with another Bratislava gem Brian Payne who had 9 assists and 10 points for team USA. Girts was able to continue his dominant goal scoring, this time on the world stage showing he is primed for a big rookie season in Warsaw. Although Team Europe lost in the medal round, Girts had a goal and an assist in the game along with 7 shots and was named one of the 3 stars of the game. While it didn't end how Team Europe hoped they played a spirited tournament and a lot of young players performed well and got a chance to showcase their skills. Look for Girts Galvins to be one of the best rookies this season in the VHL as he's definitely a player to watch.

    1. What is your favourite place to order fast food?

Carls Jr on the west coast, Chik fil-a on the east coast.

    2. What is one thing you would tell your younger self if you had the chance?

Invest in Bitcoin when it first came out.

    3. Is there any where you want to travel?

Would love to take a trip to my pretend home country of Latvia

    1. What's your favorite pizza topping?

    2. What are you most excited about for the upcoming season?

    3. Sweat pants or Mesh shorts when lounging around the house?

  7. After an exciting season with his VHLE team in Bratislava, Girts Galvins was back in Latvia spending time with family when he got a call from Warsaw GM dlamb. "Girts it's dlamb, we've been watching you all season and we think you're ready to come up and play in the VHL for the Predators, we could definitely use you on the roster this coming season, what do you think?" Girts nearly dropped his PS5 controller "Umm yes, yes sir I am definitely ready and would be honored to come up and play with the great players in Warsaw, thank you and I promise I won't let you down." Just like that Girts Galvins became a VHL pro, it finally happened, after making a name for himself in the VHLM for Vegas and then in the VHLE for Bratislava it was now time to bring his lethal goal scoring to the VHL and help Warsaw win a championship. Girts couldn't be more excited for the opportunity. While he loved playing in both the VHLM and the VHLE it's time to move up to the big leagues and see what he can do. After scoring 75 goals across 2 seasons in the minors he should be able to score some big goals for Warsaw and help them win a lot of games. It will be exciting to watch Girts take the ice for the Warsaw Predators in Season 83.

    1. What's the best non-alcoholic drink?

I'd have to say sweet tea, like iced tea, the more sugar the better.

    2. You have to go on vacation somewhere within 500 miles of your current location - where do you pick?

New York City (pre-covid) pizza tour and hockey game at msg.

    3. If you were a college basketball coach, would you wear a suit or athletic wear on the sideline?

Athletic suit because if you're a good enough coach doesn't matter what you wear as long as you win.

    1. How did you do in your march madness bracket?

    2. Did your favorite NHL team make any moves at the trade deadline?

    3. Are you excited or not excited about the new attribute system? Why?
