    A job!

    Ill do the VHL @Will
  4. Team Asia is one of the few regions of the world sending players to represent them in the S63 WJC. When the General Managers were announced for each team excitement rose. Later that day and through the next each team announced their roster one by one. As the fans looked at the roster's it was clear to see who were the favourites of the competition, and who weren't. GM's had a lot of choice in their players, and with some hard decisions during training camps on who to cut and who to keep we decided to interview the General Manager of team Asia on how his selection process worked, and why he picked who's on his team. Who was the first immediate person you knew you were going to pick? What were you looking for in the offense that you selected You guys have a strong defensive core for the options available. What do you think of the defenseman you selected? What do you think of your chances with this team? 548 words for use Nov 11
  5. huge 4 point night for me
  6. With the S63 WJC starting soon the 5 team's have annouced their competing rosters. Along with the roster annouces was Team Europe's who named many players including Karl von Moltke, Mikka Pajari and Lando Baxter to name a few. Dahlberg, who has been dominating the VHLM so far with 3rd in points will be closely watched by scouts attending the rookie showcase. Fellow friend and VHLM rival Joe Ylonen is also representing Team Europe. The WJC is the premier tournament for all rookies, and a good performance here is always important to climbing up the draft rankings. Dahlberg on the WJC @Esso2264
  7. 1) I'll be doing my first Mock Draft for the Season 64 Draft this coming week. Based on the VHL season so far, which team do you think will hold the first overall pick in that draft? Probably Davos 2) There's been a lot of VHLM trades happening recently, are you surprised by how many trades there have been this early in the season? Definitley, teams have been shaking up their roster after some games 3) About a third of the way through the season, who would you say has been the VHLM's MVP? MacKinnon, guys been scoring left and right. 4) Which other VHLM player would you consider to be your closest rival? Professional Bust and Bench Door Opener Joel Ylonen @Esso2264 5) Play the role of GM of your team, who is the one player on another VHLM franchise that you try to bring in? Jorgon Weyed, we need some scoring and could definitley use him. 6) How do you feel about your current TPE levels? Feel like their pretty good, I'll be over 130 by the end of the week, and hopefully over 160 by the end of the season
  8. 1. Feel Like I've had a great season, I'm leading (real) rookies in points, and I'm doing quite good on points. 2. Really enjoy the sense of community thats been created here. I've been able to talk to lots of people about common interests like D&D and the Canucks. 3. I'd like to see the VHL add more people! I feel like were playing the same teams over and over again, and with more teams and people it feels like the VHLM and VHL would be closer and more interesting. 4. Well, two parts to this. I was selected to GM the eventual winners Team Asia, and also selected for Team Europe, so double the chance at winning. Otherwise the WJC seems like a great and well organized tournament. 5. I'd like to play in Calgary as that's my hometown.
  9. I only have 8 to work with, so I think it needs to be 6.
  10. Welp we lose. Bust Ylonen is on the team. GG all fun playing.

  14. Looks awesome, better than those graphics of bust Ylonen
  15. Applying for team Europe so no one picks that bust Ylonen @Esso2264 And to win of course
  16. After a series of blowout wins the Lynx haven't been able to keep it up. Ottawa is now on the receiving end of the blowouts. Last year's champs are looking to still push for the cup and break the usual compete-rebuild-compete cycle. General Manager Diamond_Ace is going to look to change up some of the lines after the poor performance on offense, but also on defense. Rookie phenom Elias Dahlberg was tearing up the VHLM but has also had a slow down in offense, along with veteran linemate Chance Matthews and defenseman Gregor Raspuntinov. We asked Dahlberg on what he plans to do to help break his and his team's slump.
  17. Decided to do a graphic this week as I had writers block

  21. 1) The season has kicked off now, how do you feel about your team's performance to this point of the season? Feel like we've been pretty decent, couple tough losses but its fine. 2) What would you say has been your best performance in a game so far this season? Think I got a 4 point night, I'd say that was the best 3) For some of you this will have been your first week of experience with the sim, what are your thoughts on the sim engine thus far? Seems pretty detailed and accurate. 4) If you could bring in a brand new point task for the VHL, what would it be? Probably something NHL related, like an NHL predictions for a couple games that week. 5) The World Juniors cup will be happening in the near future, how likely do you think you'll be to representing your country? I think I'll be pretty likely, I got a ton of points so far. 6) Of all the logos in the VHLM, which one would you consider your favourite and why? Lynx is my favourite, gotta say it cause there my team and if I don't I'm benched haha
  22. +10 Elias Dahlberg
  23. Ottawa, Canada -- The Ottawa Lynx have had a mediocre start to the season, 8 games in with a record that contains 4 wins and 4 losses the previous champions haven't had a start that they wished for, but haven't had one that is terrible. On the brighter side though even though Ottawa hasn't had a great start, their top rookie Elias Dahlberg has. With 14 points in only 8 games he is tied for the team lead in points, 2nd in goals with 8, the leading rookie on his team, and the 2nd most points by a rookie this season, only behind VHLM veteran and recent VHL draftee Nathan McKinnon. Dahlberg had an okay start to the season, putting up 4 points in 3 games but he and his team have really picked it up with back to back to back blowout wins against Oslo and Halifax, with a total of 15 goals for and only 4 against in those 3 games. The Matthews-Dahlberg line drove the offense along with defenseman Gregor Rasputinov. Matthews, Dahlberg, and Rasputinov have 23 points between them in the last 3 games. After Ottawa's rough start to the season it seems the General Manager Diamond_Ace clearly inspired them leading to this spike in offense, but the increased offense shouldn't overlook the great goaltending that Finn Davison has put up. After having a tough start he finally turned things around and is posting a 0.890 SV% and a 2.89 GAA. We asked Elias Dahlberg on his thoughts so far about his team, his hot start, his time in Ottawa, and his thoughts on the league. "Well this is a couple of questions so I may forget, just remind me if I do haha. Uhh, but for your first question about my team I've really enjoyed them. It's a great locker room dynamic that we got here, when I first entered the room Matthews welcomed me, told me about the team, how to get started and all that. He really welcomed me and we clicked instantly. But of course all the guys are great, we got a great team here and I'm really happy here in Ottawa. I definitely owe my hot start to Matthews. He's been in this league longer than me and he's taught me a lot but also set my up a lot. This is some tough competition in this league, a lot harder than Sweden. I've definitely wanted to prove myself against all the people who doubted me and passed on me in the draft, and the puck is now in their net. I've gotten some good chances and I hope I can keep this up and hopefully help out Ottawa. Ottawa is a great city, its much bigger than where I grew up but I definitely enjoy the city. You can tell that this city has a great atmosphere and the fans here really support us. It was weird driving here since everyone is so nice and lets you go by first, whereas in Sweden it was a mess haha. This is a great league to play in, they really support us and care about us the players. The players here are great too, I've made friends on the ice on different teams. Of course in game you hate each other but off the ice almost everyone is great friends. Speaking of great friends I've been talking with Joel Ylonen. He's been an amazing friend, also a fellow rookie we came into the league having no clue what to do but we've helped each other get through this, and we are looking forward to playing together in the Sponsors Shield and hopefully on the same team at the World Juniors." 617 words for use of the week ending Oct 28
  24. @McWolf could try moving him up to RW with me and Matthews, but then we don't have some spread out scoring
  25. I either get 0 or 2-3 points. Interesting. although ill take 3 any day
