Donald Draper has been the Assistant GM of the Yukon Rush, under GM Austin Gow, since around the middle of last season. Draper was being considered as a candidate to take over the Saskatoon Wild position, but was ultimately passed over in favor of veteran GM Slobo. "You know, to be honest, I am actually glad I didn't get that job. After it was given to Slobo, Mr. Gow really noticed the interest that I have in becoming a GM and he has really taught me a lot," Draper said. In recent weeks we have seen Draper acting on Mr. Gow's behalf on several occasions; making free agency claims, waiver claims, and it is even rumored that he has been playing a part in setting the lines for the Rush. With such a fantabulous GM showing him the ropes, there is no doubt that Draper will make a great GM someday. #horntooting

VHLM Standing Predictions - North America Season 38 has just begun here in the VHLM, and so begins another exciting couple of months. This year could be a very exciting one, as we have several heavily competitive teams spread across the entire league. With the season just getting underway, what better time to throw out some wild and crazy predictions? This week, I am going to be going over my predictions for how the standings will play out in the North American Conference. In coming weeks, expect to see predictions for the European Conference, and maybe even some predictions for individual leaders. Anyways, let's get started. 1. Yukon Rush I believe that the race for the number one spot in North America will be a very, very close on between Yukon and Brampton. If it weren't for Yukon acquiring up and coming goaltender Brock Waldron with the first overall pick of the Season 38 VHLM Dispersal Draft, I would have went with Brampton here. Additionally, Yukon has other young developers such as Kayle Kuzie, as well as more experienced players like Don Draper and Bennet Wahl. Brampton is an extremely strong team, however, if Waldron and the rest of the Yukon squad keep developing at the rate they have been, I think Yukon will be able to squeak by them and take first in the conference. 2. Brampton Blades This one is really given. If Brampton isn't here at second overall, they will first overall. Brampton's incredible strength ultimately comes from a very successful Season 38 Dispersal Draft. At the second overall pick, they were able to pick up Tyson Stokes; a player represented by the famed fever95 agency. With the rest of their picks, they were able to pick up other fantastic players such as Tyrone Williams, Hunter and Hudson Backenbauer, and Daniel Acker. To put the icing on the cake, Brampton was able to claim tough-guy and intimidation factor Sam Keeler on the waiver wire. Brampton has an extremely young roster, for the most part, and that is the reason I placed them second instead of first. I simply think that the more experienced Yukon roster with edge the Blades out of first. 3. Ottawa Lynx Season 37 was, without question, quite a disappointment for the Lynx. Fortunately, things are looking a lot more promising for them this season. Although they traded their first round pick, which would have been first overall, to the Yukon Rush during the off-season, the Lynx still managed to pick up some extremely promising players in this seasons Dispersal Draft. First, a winger who has shown incredible drive and determination, Andrew Erikson. Following that, they picked up the equally driven Andrej Hasek, Mike McGratten, and Daniel Raseri. I am placing the Lynx above the Wild and the Gladiators largely due to the quick rate at which their roster is developing. 4. Saskatoon Wild Season 38 will be Saskatoon's first full season under the leadership of General Manager Brett Slobodzian, who was appointed near the end of last season following the stepping down of previous General Manager James. Unfortunately, Slobodzian seems to have been left with a mess worthy of a mop, yet only a broom to clean it up with. The Wild did pick up some quality players such as Lights Bokan, Mikkel Boomgarden, and Devin Sundberg. Despite their drafting success, I don't think they will have what it takes to surpass the quickly developing Lynx roster. 5. Minot Gladiators Minot is another organization that is still transitioning after a leadership change. Just a day before the Dispersal Draft, Davey Jones announced his intentions to step down as General Manager. At the request of Jones, veteran General Manager InstantRockstar was selected to take over the helm of Minot. Sadly, he was left with a slowly developing roster and not a whole lot to work with. The Gladiators do have a few notable players, such as Chris Raymond, but certainly not enough to compete. I expect Minot to sell off assets this season, which is why I am predicting them for last place in the North American Conference.

Content: 3/3 Wow, didn't think you were serious when you said you were simming for your predictions, lmao. It will be really interesting to see how the real sim plays out compared to this one. Really hoping on of the Titans gets rookie award. For the record, its Voy-check Svo-bo-da. The VHLM stats seem a little bit out there. I can't see Morgan and Vlasis actually ripping it up that much once everything is said and done. On a good note, the test sim finally proved what we already knew: DON DRAPER SUCKS. Professionalism: 2/2 Very good. Intro was somewhat frightening.... Editing: 1/1 Sounds good to me. Overall: 6/6

Content: 3/3 There is nothing wrong with a 15 minute podcast, in my opinion. Especially when they are done seriously and professionally as this one. Although it was only 15 minutes, it was jam packed with information and commentary. There was no silent gaps, no "uhhhhhhhhh's", and you kept it serious. Really good listen. I would commend you on your trades to Brampton but, as a former Yukonian, you shouldn't bettering the competition! I'm sure you'll make a great VHL GM some day. Professionalism: 2/2 I already covered this above. Very professional. Editing: 1/1 Sounds good to me. Overall: 6/6

After being selected third overall by the Helsinki Titans in this years VHL Entry Draft, the future of Don Draper was largely up in the air. With Helsinki not in a position to compete this season, there was a lot of question regarding where Draper would play next year. Helsinki GM STZ left all the options open, leaving the decision to be made solely by Draper. On one hand, he could play in the big leagues. He would gain valuable experience that could be useful in later years when Helsinki is competitive. On the other hand, he could play in the minors once again where he could potentially be able to develop as a player far more than he would be able to in the VHL. Obviously by now we know that he has elected to play in the VHLM once again, so that he can achieve maximum development before entering the VHL next season. He is expected to play a big part in what could be another cup run for Yukon.

Content: 3/3 509 words. This was a good read. The draft was excited, and I'm looking forward to playing alongside Raymond (as well as all the other titties) for many seasons to come. Hopefully Raymond is just the guy to turn things around for the Kachur agency. Surely, they will be really working to groom Raymond into being their first true legend.
