    Debut

Mikey could not sleep. It was finally time. He had reached the start of his VHL, and in a few hours he would be on the ice. Both of his brother failed on the way to the bigs, but Mikey kept his head up and never stopped believing. He is hoping to leave a positive impact on the game and not get in over his head. The VHL is a whole different world with brighter lights but the rewards are endless. Even though he is still only a teenager, he feels that he is ready for this new challenge and the team is confident. The locker room is fun to be in, management is great, and he feels like he is learning a lot in Canada. All that's left for him to do now is to get onto the ice and see what he can do. Of course he will be gunning for his first career point, but he won't go all in on that one part and will be playing for the team first and foremost. Thanks reading, the VHL is going to be fun.
  2. 1. Middle of the pack to the bottom. 2. I take part in the SBA. 3. He was in Calgary moving in. 4. Making the playoffs. 5. Chicago and London I guess. 6. Colorado and Maybe Toronto.
  3. Mikey Harris has gone to his first training camp with the Calgary Wranglers. He had a good time, but the adjustment to the new speed of the game was tough for him. He was caught out of place multiple times during so he spent hours working on positioning and defense and he hopes that it will payoff come game time. The new squad is finally built, with all the trades and drafting done, and now it's time to get out on the ice and play as best as they can. Mikey is not giving himself the highest expectations this season, but he would like to get at least 40 point or more. As of right he looks to be a scorer mainly so a lot of his points will come from goals, but in the future he looks to round his game out more. Last but not least, he wants Calgary to surpass all expectations and get a much better record than what will be expected of them. It is shaping up to be fun year in the VHL, can't wait to get there.
  4. 1. I think he brings confidence and a good reputation to the team. 2. I have no Wranglers in award predictions. 3. The fact that we are so young. 4. Defence Defence Defence. 5. Drafts and tournaments. 6. Getting to play my first vhl season with such a young team.
  5. Well it's over, Mikey Harris is a VHL player. The VHLM season just ended, so it's time for him to officially move on up. He is looking to work very hard this offseason in order to be the best player he can be and get the most ice time. Coming into the league as a rookie is nerve-wracking, but everyone had to start from the bottom, and Mikey is no exception. He looks to be a point threat throughout his career, and while his VHLM weren't the best, he knows he can still show out. Coming into this new team is a change of scenery, but the lockeroom has been good so far and I love out new gm. The next step is the draft and I hope we will be able to snag a defenseman. We need to be able to stop other teams from putting up crazy amount of goals on us, and out back line is a major part of that. I have finally moved into Calgary, and I am ready to spend my career in the VHL doing the best I can.
  6. 1. To work on my scoring and defense. 2. Like said before, the boys are back. 3. Chicago. 4. Go on a joyride with it 5. Well you Patrik or Fonzi 6. Locker room or counting.
  7. the message was vague, my explanation pretty much sums up all it said
  8. I intercepted 3 messages, which really just said that the maf would refer to others as roles, they were going to tag a certain person and call him names, and if the hackers knew who sent the messages
  9. Ok how many hackers can a game have? Because I want to cc this claim
  10. Losing in the playoffs wasn't fun, but it's time to move on and look to the future. I don't know what's going on with the Calgary GM spot, but whoever gets the job, I am open to working with. I spent a lot of time training this year to be able to show off my skills to the VHL fans, and now knowing that it's almost time to move up I'm excited. I've played with some great players during my time in the VHLM and I know that the VHL guys will be even better, and getting to learn from them firsthand is something not everyone can do. Calgary lost in the first round of the playoffs and they will be losing some guys to retirement which opens up some spots. Whoever takes the new gm spot will have some to work do and it won't be easy, but Calgary can be back up in the name of VHL contenders in a few seasons. We have a couple of prospects who look good and I'll be on the rink all offseason preparing for the upcoming season. Thank you Philly, but it's time to become a full fledged Wrangler, see y'all on the ice.
  11. 1. Well we lost in the series, but I was very happy to make the playoffs and have a chance to push Houston. 2. I changed my mental focus. 3. There has been no snow for us, but some rain here and there. 4. My favorite musician is Don Tolliver I guess, I like his unique sound. 5. As of right now, Iwould say 1984 is my favorite book because it made me think, it was unpredictable, and it showed how bleak the future could be for us. 6. My day has been great, getting ready for tomorrow.
  12. The future generations will know that I was a part of this thread now
  13. Well the Philadelphia Reapers made the playoffs. This is a chance for them to defend the title they won last year and continue to build on the great history of this team. Mikey put in 46 points this year, getting 26 goals and 20 assists, which is much better than what he did last season. Compared to last year this season has not been easy, with the team just making it to the playoffs as a 7 seed, but all the guys in locker room continue to work and we are looking to make some noise. This is going to be Mikey's last ever games in the VHLM so he wants to make them count, and what better way to do than to win a title. The team has seen an influx of new players and we are hoping that they can give us all the help possible. We need more depth and for sure will need to work on out defense. Anything is possible now that we have reached the playoffs and I can't wait to see what happens.
  14. 1. I never let up in training and I look ahead to the playoffs. 2. We need to believe in ourselves and win as many games as possible. 3. My two older brothers played in the VHLM, including one who played for the Reapers, which helps my game improve. 4. Hearing people screaming whenever we score a goal and put on a display of nice passing is nice and helps us stay motivated. 5. I don't know much about tea, I guess Lipton. 6. My brain, it controls my whole body so why not make it as strong as possible?
  15. Breakout games are weird. Having your team score 9 goals is amazing, but then when you get held to 1 goal after that it is confusing. Mikey has been inconsistent this year, and after having some great games, he has also had terrible ones. In one game, he scored 4 goals and got an assist. Then in the next game he gets absolutely no points. It's something that Mikey finds weird, but no matter what, he will continue to work and try his hardest to be the best player he can be. This sport has treated me well my whole life so far and as long as I continue to work, the rewards will be worth it. There are certain skills that I need to tune up on before heading to the VHL next year so I will be doing that. I can't wait to play in the big leagues. It is something that both of my brothers failed at achieving, and once I step on that ice for the first time next year, I'll know that my life's work has paid off. Thanks for listening, see you guys soon.
  16. Mikey Harris spent some time lately thinking about where he would go on a vacation to if he got the chance. In the end he decided that he wanted to go to Paris, France. Reading about it as a child and seeing all the pictures just made him want to go there more and recently, he had a chance to visit. Of course he was going to visit the Eiffel Tower, but before he did that, he explored the city and tried to speak with the locals as much as he could. He does not speak French well at all so he wasn't able to really to do anything without somebody translating for him, but he still had a good time. The city was a lot bigger than he expected and he got lost a couple of times, but he was always able to find a way to get back. Finally he reached the part of his trip when he went to the Eiffel Tower and decided that he walk up the entire tower. He overestimated himself and a quarter of the way through he was dead tired due to not sleeping well, but it was too late for him to go back down and take the elevator because of all the tourists in the tower. Mikey could barely even walk with the amount of people standing around taking pictures and just trying to see the view, and this slowed Mikey down a lot. After an extended period of time, he finally able to reach another elevator, but he couldn't go in immediately because of how crowded it was. Something Mikey had never really experienced was the fact that millions of people travel to certain spots on the globe and while look amazing in the photos, in real life there a lot more people and a lot of space is taken up by visitors. Mikey got in the elevator after waiting for about 5 minutes and finally made it to the top, where he took a couple of pictures and then started on his trek back down the stairs. He had a meeting with his agent about endorsement opportunities that he had to get to later in day and it was looking like he was going to be to late to those unless all the foot traffic cleared up. As he was walking and getting very close to the exit, somebody stopped him because he recognized him as a VHLM player. Mikey had never really gotten that much attention for his hockey career so it was nice in his eyes, and he took a picture with the fan and signed an autograph for him. After that he finally exited the tower and headed over to the meeting with agent. Mikey had one more day in Paris before he left so he decided to spend it eating as much of the local cuisine as he could. After a long day, he headed over to the airport to get ready to start the grind again and thanked his family for allowing him to go this trip, He took one last photo in front of the Eiffel Tower, and then he left.
  17. 1. Mikey watched it, and he wanted the Bucs to win. He didn't throw a party though. 2. I would like to go to Paris. 3. Just gonna practice at the rink and play in some games. 4. I prefer cake because I ate it lot more as a child, and my favorite is chocolate cake. 5. I would go to the future because I wouldn't want to alter the past. 6.I know that we could've played better this year, and I don't really think there is anything you can can do to improve my experience.
  18. Well, the Reapers have hit a weird slump. At a point losing 11 games in a row, the team has been looking answers and they cannot keep on playing the way they are. After their last game, Mikey has this to say to us in an interview. "I have no idea what has been going on with the team lately. We will just continue to build up out confidence and get into practice everyday. We are still working hard and we want to make the fans happy. After winning the title last year we are currently losing a lot of games and we need that to stop. Lately in practice I have been focusing on improving my defense and positioning so I can be able to get into the best spots that I possibly can and I hope that it will show up in the games." Mikey has had to adjust moving to a new team this year, but he knows that the team will right the ship and they will fight till the end.
  19. 1. It'll be close, but I think that he can do it/ 2. All the work he puts in behind the scenes. 3. Patrik has been impressive. 4. Really Patrik or Edwin. 5. Speed. 6. A Camaro.
  20. About Mikey Harris Mikey Harris is the third player in his family to play in the VHLM and second for the Reapers. As of right he has 12 points, scoring 8 goals and 4 assists and he is looking to help the Reapers win as many games as possible. He is going to be jumping to the VHL after this season so he wants to make as big an impact in his last career VHLM season. Strengths Scoring: While his scoring stats have never been that high in his VHLM career, he is scoring at a level he likes for someone on the second line. He was still chosen as a team captain which shows the trust the team has in him and he looks to continue to play at the highest level he can. Skating: Mikey is also known as one of the best skaters on his team and he looks to keep on improving in that regard. His small size gives him a low center of gravity which makes it easier for him to be more agile and skate with more speed on the ice. He has spent numerous hours on ice skating from end to end waiting to show off his skills on the ice. This skill has helped him get numerous points in his career, and allowed him to get the interest of VHL GM’s. Strength: Even though Mikey is 5’9 and 175 pounds, he is still very strong. He doesn’t look like it, but his strength has allowed him to hold his own on the ice and get a couple of hits. He is still spending time in the weight room trying to get bigger and stronger in preparation for the VHL next year. Weaknesses Checking: Mikey’s biggest weakness is the fact that he cannot check a player to save his life. While he has gotten a hit here or there, this has the result of his strength mostly. He will need to improve on this to help Philadelphia in the playoffs and learn proper technique to stay out of the penalty box. Passing: While Mikey has shown that he can be a playmaker, getting 22 assists in only 37 games last year, his scoring has overtaken his passing. He now looks to score first on his shots and while he still loves getting assists and he will be looking to be a guy to get 30-30 or more in his prime, as of right now he still needs to improve in this facet of his game. Faceoffs: Sure Mikey is a winger, but if you ever need him to take a faceoff, don’t assume he will win it. He has never really had to work on this part of his game and he will probably keep it untouched, but maybe one day in the future something will cause him to start working on this. And that’s all we have on Mikey Harris as of right now, thanks for reading.
