  1. Mikey Harris is having the most fun playing hockey he ever has. After beating two really good teams in Minnesota and Houston, getting goals and assists added to his point totals, and seeing the numerous practice hours he has been putting in show up on the ice, how could he not be happy. Mikey has stepped up his practice habits lately because of his want to play in the big leagues by next year. Most of the greats only spent two years in the minors and wanting to play as many years as possible in the VHL, the move to Calgary is necessary. He has been in closer contact with the team than he ever has been lately and he is starting to get to know his future teammates better. Mikey is the second best prospect on his team for s76 draftees and is looking to form a dynamic duo with his other prospect teammates for years to come. Mikey eldest brother Josh was drafted to the Wranglers as well but retired before he was good enough to make it to the majors so Mikey feels like his family owes it to the Wrangler franchise to send one player in the family to play for team. Mikey's future is looking really bright and we can't wait to see what he does with his career.
  2. You can't imagine how scared I was when I got a noti that you pinged me. Lmao thanks for the comment.
  3. 1. I like the amount of goals we are scoring and hope that we have win more consistently. 2. They all have great experience in the VHL and have worked hard to be able to score the way they do. 3. His confidence and work ethic. 4. I love paint scoring drills. 5. Miracle. A good way to get hyped about playing hockey. 6. I guess we can get a better defensive unit. We are still very young there.
  4. In today’s article I will be showing the day in the life of current Philadelphia Reaper, Mikey Harris. Today was an off day which meant that his day looked a little different than usual. Mikey woke up around 7 to get ready for some online classes he takes because he is still at the young age of 16. Before these classes start he’ll eat a big breakfast, most likely a lot of bacon or some waffles. After spending about three hours in his first part of the school day, he gets off for some time. He will usually take this time to eat lunch and maybe watch some TV while he’s at it. His lightest meal of the day is usually his lunch, which is probably something like a sandwich or some soup. After he eats he’ll go back to his classes for about 3 hours and then he will be free for the day. He’ll grab a quick snack and then drive over with his brothers to the local rink. Since both of his brothers played in the VHLM they know what Mikey needs to work on and the best ways to do it. He’ll open with some sprints to get his conditioning up, then work on improving on his skating, positioning, puck handling and strength. He’ll finish off with multiple shooting drills and then play in a couple of pickup games with the locals. This can take 3-4 hours and by the time he gets home he is dead tired. As soon as he gets in the house he’ll take a hot shower, and then eat a big meal, something with a ton of meat. Maybe a steak, or rice or pasta with a lot of baked chicken. His brothers will come over at this time and go over film from the last couple of games as well as watch certain VHL players that they can learn from. He spends extensive watching the Calgary Wranglers because that is the team he is hoping to play for next season in the major leagues. He knows he won’t be getting a lot of playing time in the beginning of his VHL career so he isn’t expecting to do crazy things stat wise, but he still hopes he can make a difference for the team, no matter how small it is. After this he is free for the day, and he might head out into the city, stay home and watch a movie or catch up on some shows, or maybe get some school work done early. On a game day he would usually be out of the house for most of the day which means that he would sleep as soon as he got home, but today he decided to take a drive into the city and check in with some of his friends. Mikey used to spend a lot of time with his friends before his hockey career skyrocketed so he tries to spend time with them as much as possible. Instead of coming straight home Mikey went to the gym to get some weight training in as he is currently trying to become stronger for the season. He came home around 11 and finally went to sleep, preparing for his upcoming game the next day.
  5. 1. I moved back to Philly with my brothers, and then went to train with the team. Besides hockey, I spent a lot of time catching up on TV shows. 2. Starting to wake up earlier than usual to get back in the routine of being a pro athlete. 3. I feel the pressure the repeat, but at the same time I am happy that all eyes will be on us. 4. I have gotten to know all of my new teammates and there has been no negative interactions so far. 5. San Jose Sharks, because they are the closet team to me, and watching them my whole life has been fun. The 2016 Stanley Cup Finals still hurts. 6. I can't really say, but Avengers: Infinity War was a movie that I was very hyped for.
  6. Got my junior review, and trying to get my prospect scouting report up to make my gm gets a player who's better than expected.
  7. Michelangelo "Mikey" Harris was born into no ordinary family. Growing up in Philadelphia, both of his brothers played in the VHLM, and his eldest brother Josh made it very close to making it to the majors. However both of them failed, and their failure motivated Mikey to make sure that he made it to the pros. The first major team he played for was his brother Josh's 13U team, when he split time playing both defenseman and winger, and had 70 points (18 goals, 52 assists). After he spent the year in Philadelphia, he moved to Toronto to play in the GTHL U16 AAA. While he was the youngest player in the league, he was still able to have a successful season. Amid limited ice time, Mikey was able to have 70 points(30 goals, 40 assists) once again, and he was starting to get interest from the CHL. His family wanted to move back to the United States so Mikey committed to the USNTDP U17 team. He was the youngest to ever to play for the U17 team and he was able to exceed all expectations. Mikey was still deciding if he was going to go the CHL or stay in his home country and continue to play for the USNTDP. He really wanted to follow in the footsteps of his brothers and make it to the VHLM in his teenage years, but at that point of his career he wasn't getting a lot interest from the teams. While playing for the team Mikey had 93 points (46 goals and 47 assists). He was also invited to the United States Under 17 team, which took him no hesitation to accept. The team did not do as well as they hoped in the world championships however and Mikey did not want to touch a hockey stick for a long time. His brothers convincing him that he needed to continue working on his game and not let one bad experience make him lose his love for the game is the only reason why he continued to work on his game constantly. Eventually he started to get interest from teams in the OHL as well QMJHL teams. He was projected to be a third round pick in the import draft and the family was preparing to leave for Canada before Mikey received a message from the coach of the Miami Marauders telling Mikey that was good enough to play in the VHLM. He didn't get an offer from Miami, but later got one for Mississauga which he promptly accepted and played 37 games, scoring 31 points( 9 goals, 22 assists). And that brings us to the present day, draft night.
  8. Mikey Harris has finished his first season of professional hockey, and he has enjoyed his time playing so far. He was not able to score 10 goals which was slightly disappointing, but he was very proud with his assist numbers. His teammates are good at putting the puck in the back of the net so he is blessed to have the opportunity to have stats that look good. He will be looking to get even more hits and block more shots, but as a young player there will always be things that I need to improve on. Even as a star there will still be things that I am not the best at, but right now I need the most work as possible. I am at a great pace to make the VHL right now compared to my brothers and it would feel great to make my VHL debut one day in the future. I have received some interest from a VHL team which is great, and I would love to get picked in the draft. I know I am not the best prospect in the draft, but I am working hard to be a solid player and I would love to become a star after being underrated. Thanks for reading, peace.
  9. Got points in both games, I love the assist numbers.
  10. The Harris family is a family that is infamous in hockey. They consist of three sons, all of whom had VHL potential. The first two have already made it to the VHLM and burned out, and now Mikey, the youngest hopes to be the first to make it to the VHL. His life he has been trained to become a hockey player and has moved back forth between Canada and the United States. He has seen both of his brothers fail firsthand and is ready to correct the mistakes that they made. He is looking forward to getting offers from VHLM teams and building up his resume for VHL GM's. His brothers have both used the money they received in their careers to build businesses and run hockey agencies, and Mikey has been involved with all of these his whole career. They are both serving as his agents right now and are trying to get him the best opportunities. As of right now he is a scoring wing who has can pass a little. He is a decent minor league defender and he has great leadership quality for someone so young. He is looking forward to playing professional hockey and can't wait to get on the ice.
  11. Thanks for reaching out and welcoming me, I really appreciate it.

  13. Keith Harris has been in and out of practice lately. Everybody already knows that he develops slowly and not at the pace of top prospects but this is still alarming. I mean it’s better to at least improve right? Keith hasn’t been doing this consistently. He is ready to start grinding and putting in work everyday again now. He felt terrible about his not so good work ethic and now it’s time for him to improve it. In the past 3 weeks he has missed extended time of practice. Missing this much practice has hurt his game and his team since he isn’t getting better p, but instead doing whatever he does when he’s not on the ice. He hasn’t not been happy with his stats these next few seasons need to be breakout seasons for him. This is why he has a new focus on training and is looking to be a draft steal. His stock has already been damaged a lot and it cannot be undone, but it can still be increased and he can end up in the top of his draft class at the end of his career. Wells that all I have for you guys today peace.

  19. Keith Harris was drafted by the Philadelphia Reapers in the latest VHLM draft. He has enjoyed the team so far and they already have given him some good tips on what to work on. Now it is time to get to work and improve his skills. He is going to work on defense, puck handling, and passing for a lot of this season. He will work on scoring a little bit so he can be more of a threat, but it will not be game changing offense skills. He has been working with his brother a lot to prepare for the minor leagues and how people play. He also is working on becoming a great skater like his brother was. The Reapers are a stacked team this and it is going to be a great learning experience. They are going to be favorites for a lot of people and the players believe in the gm. Also when Keith realized that his gm was a female he was very surprised. He has never met a female into hockey as much as she is and she really knows her stuff. Anyways GM’s better be looking out for Keith as he learns the ways of pro hockey this season. Peace out.
