  10. The season has ended for the Minnesota Storm and now it's time to just look forward to the draft. I have to make sure to stay in tip top form so that when a team drafts me that I can perform. It was a long and boring and abysmal season for Peach and it seems like things are hopefully going to get better. There is only one team that Peach has expressed he won't play for and the feeling seems to be mutual. I won't go into detail as the GM of that team already knows and it may be known by more than a few. All of the other available teams he has no issue with but some of the GM's may be cautious as the agents history is rather horrible at retention. When it comes to careers being cut short, this player agency tends to dump players off quickly and move on to other players to represent. This has been an issue his entire career but hopefully things can and will change for the better really soon.
  11. @DilIsPickle Man, who would've known going to Vancouver wouldn't get you to the Finals.
  12. Woo, my player was mentioned!
  13. It's shorter than it should have been but yeah buddy
  14. 1) The first team has clinched a playoff position, Houston. Do you think they deserve to claim that first spot? Sure they do, their talent is pretty solid all around.2) At the other end of the spectrum, Ottawa has been eliminated from playoff contention. Any thoughts on the frail mortality of a VHLM team, even one who just won a cup? I can't really say anything bad about them3) Speaking of playoff contention, there is currently a neck-and-neck race for the final playoff slot, between Philadelphia and Mexico City. Who do you think will take it? Mexico City4) If you could give yourself at the beginning of the season any advice, what would it be? Stay active and enjoy your career5) When you aren’t playing hockey, what do you like to do? Just hang out and play video games6) Do you have a favorite cheese? It's really hard to narrow it down to just one

  16. It's crazy to see all those who have come and gone since the VHL started. Some of the older members have stuck around and some had left and came back. I don't really know a lot of people from the very beginning of the VHL but they shaped the way we enjoy sim leagues and they kept it alive for us to be able to enjoy it one day. For that I am thankful to those who were here since day one. Whether you are around to read this or not, thanks for making the VHL what it is today and helping lead it through all of those years. Things were rough at times but to those who are still around since the very first, I don't know how you keep the interest alive or the drive to keep a player going that long. You know I am no stranger to retirement, but you guys are literally like machines the way you stick it out and have done so for a player's career entirety and well many of other players.
  17. When you think of legendary players that have come from one person, it's hard to not think of Phil as a great builder. While this won't be me talking about him as a builder, I want to focus on one of his players that was just before my time. Phil Rafter was a center that was drafted to the Davos Dynamo and had a hall of fame career. Phil Rafter was the sixth overall selection in the season 27 draft and normally when you see a Phil player fall that far, it's because the draft class is loaded. The fact he fell so far was just honestly weird if you don't know the draft class that well. When he landed in the laps of the Dynamo, I am quite certain they were giddy with joy. Anyone who knows the player agency knows that Phil is a great locker room presence and he knows how to build hall of fame players. Rafter was on his way to stardom from the time he stepped on the ice for the Dynamo . His first season lead to him scoring 92 points which is amazing as a rookie. The team weren't exactly playoff contenders but he was on a team that had just had a great draft and added other amazing players. He was on pace to win the rookie of the year award but ended up not winning that due to losing out to fellow teammate. That's something powerful when you have two amazing rookies who were literally number one and two on the ballot for the rookie of the year voting. The general manager must have felt proud and glad that he selected these two young studs in the draft. He followed up his rookie campaign with an upgrade as he topped 100 points for the first time in his career. The team managed to have a lot more success as they did reach the playoffs this season and Rafter was a key component in them getting there. Not only did he have a career high in points but he also inched closer to the 50 goal mark for the course of the season. He took less shots this season paired with three more game winning goals and not one single penalty minute taken. He managed to hone his skills to not visit the penalty box and his team benefited from having their star player on the ice longer. His career was nothing short of spectacular as he had an amazing career, put up great numbers and even won a championship with the team that drafted him. He did get traded to the Helsinki Titans for half of a season as a rental but he would go on to manage to find his way back to Davos. Being loyal to the team that drafted him seemed to be something that should be admired by many. When the going got tough, he stuck it out and he enjoyed success for waiting out like he did. It's amazing to see the kind of player he was and how his devotion to one team really paid off in the long run. @Phil
  18. WTF is VSN and why should someone care?
  19. 1. It's hard to say. It has to be between Davey Jones and Astrid Moon. Both won 2 rings and enjoy really good success. 2. Either of the two mentioned above (as of right now) 3. Oh easily. He is very underrated and it's sad his recognition for what he did goes unnoticed. 4. Eaglesfan, Eaglesfan, myself. Eagles just loves to throw in my face he is a flyers fan and it's funny when I tell him his mascot sucks. Also myself because of the early retirements. 5. Probably could be a late first rounder but even if I go in the second, I am content. 6. The Kevin Brooks trophy to be honest.
  20. Normally people see that their player is struggling and it affects them. They think their player sucks and something is wrong with them. Well I am here to say that my stats, not my player, sucks. I know I am not performing where I want to and that is alright. I am earning at a solid pace each week and I am enjoying this player in the now. Usually I get frustrated thinking about the future with my players and how I can correct this issue, but now I know I will get better with time. We all know that Rome wasn't built in a day and I don't expect to become a superstar overnight. I have a ton of work to do before I even think about even becoming a star player. Like I am at that fringe depth player spot and quite frankly I am alright with it. I just want to be the guy who accepts his role and tries to not overstep where he belongs. Accepting that my player isn't meant to be anything more than a depth player right now is alright.
  21. @Matt_O Aye bump me up fam, I'm too low
  22. So because I use the affiliate welfare, I shouldn't get the opportunity to lineup higher? That kinda seems like a horrible thing to put in place if that is the case by your thinking.
