  1. I've DM'd all the commissioners to speak with the privately but I will publicly throw my name in. I feel like I strive for the best of the M every single season. As GM, I've really fought for new member activity, I have fought my ass off for retention the last 10 seasons, and I've ensured that quality of activity > anything else. I've always ensured that my team has put new members first, and I've always ensured that everyone is as well taken care of as possible. Because of my tenure this time around, I feel like I have the knowledge and understanding to get the job done. I know what is going on in the league already, I have visions and ideas and goals for the M and how to just proceed in a very positive way. I've been a GM now, I've been an AGM, I've been a former commissioner with both Smarch and Eagles way back when, I know what it takes, I know the qualifications, I know what I want, and this is it. I had gone to apply before Sonnet got hired, so I am hoping this time around, with more time, I'm considered. You guys know my list of achievements, my list of what I've done around this league and others. But I am very open and hoping if you have any questions, comments or concerns, you will at the very least reach out to let me know. I'm very serious about this role, and really want to pave the way for the M in a big way. Thank you for considering me, and most importantly good luck to everyone applying
  2. welcome @tcookie25 to the VHL I am the GM of the San Diego Marlins. Being up front, we are going through a big rebuild at the moment, but I feel like that is an amazing opportunity for newer members to get a lot of playing time and join a fun LR. I can offer you max minutes and guaranteed ice time. If you'd like to join us, quote this and accept. Other GM's will offer, so you do not need to rush your decision, you can choose anytime. Good luck wherever you go!
  3. 1. How satisfied are you with your performance so far into S74? I was very happy with my performance early on in the season, I originally started off super hot, 12 points in 4 games, but since then I am now up to 32 points which is somewhat respectable but way off course as to where I was projected to be after those first 4 games. Hoping to see some improvement for the rest of the season. 2. With a change in AGM, how will the team do? The team and the morale in the LR has been awesome, really good atmosphere and a fun place to be so I think the team is doing great and will continue to do great. 3. Has the teams performance been a surprise or was this expected? Personally I would say it's expected. Yukon went heavy on loading up this year, with a mix of returnees, drafting and trades to align a strong, deep core for a big push. 4. Who do you think has the best shot at winning the Founder’s Cup? Saskatoon does have a strong front heavy roster who has been very good at winning games, obviously I do believe our chances are strong, so I would say us first just being bias, and Sasky is a hard second for me. 5. What did you do during the off-season? A lot of training but a lot of family time too. Had to catch up with everyone, enjoy my time off, but also ensure I stay in prime condition for the new season. 6. The leadership team has remained the same except for swaps. What are your thoughts on this? It takes a solid foundation to build something great, and consistency is key. Having the same overall staff is a good way to not only keep morale for those that are returning to the team but also boost probability of newer players wanting to come here, seeing the same GM for many seasons.
  4. welcome to the VHL @Rick132 I am the GM of the San Diego Marlins, and we are going through a re-tool this year. We are actually very excited for new members to join the league because during our re-tool, we really want to give the advantage to first time members to really enjoy the experience of being on the top lines, being on the front end of things and truly getting to enjoy the whole dynamic. While this means we're not going to be uber competitive, this does mean we will be able to offer you MAXIMUM MINUTES on all of our top lines. You can come join an amazing LR, a fun atmosphere and a knowledgeable GM with 10 seasons experience + years of real experience year in the league. If you want to join us on this crazy journey, please quote this and accept. Other GM's will also offer, so you are welcome to wait as well. Either way best of luck on your journey and we hope to see you in a Marlins uniform!

  6. hello @Exogorthian and welcome to the VHL! I am the GM of the San Diego Marlins, and we're very interested in acquiring you to join our team. I can see via discord you've had some amazing members reach out to you to begin your journey, so I am glad to see you got that sorted out. I will be honest, our team is certainly a rebuilder, we had a very successful run last season but to do that, we had to sacrifice this year as a bit of a re-tool. However, in saying that, we've had some excellent newer members similar to yourself join the team and have a lot of fun. Our LR is constantly active with a lot going on, tons of great members on the team and some alumni from years past in there to share their wealth of wisdom and help as needed. Because we're a rebuilder, we can guarantee to give you maximum playing time, which means you will be top line on the 5v5, PP and PK. If this sounds good to you, please go ahead and quote this and "accept". Otherwise other GM's of various statuses (contenders, retoolers, etc) will send you offers too, so waiting never hurt anybody. No matter your choice, welcome again to the league, I hope your experience is amazing and if you have any questions in the meantime, you can find me in discord as Rockstar#1072. Thanks and have an excellent day!
  7. hey @Thrash94Gaming My name is Zack, I'm actually a mod in your stream (no flex LOL) "xWatchMeKlutch" and more-known as "bigchunguss" as of recent haha. I am the GM of San Diego, we'd love to have you on the team, we are a rebuilder but we can offer max mins and a fun atmosphere, the LR is always an enjoyable and comfortable place to be. Quote this if you'd like to come join us
  8. played a full career there, and don't regret a moment of it had a hell of a time there, and a lackluster career but the LR made it the most fun.
  9. LUCIFER OLIVIER LEVEQUE - YUKON RUSH/SEATTLE BEARS User: InstantRockstar | TPE: 268 (18 Banked)D | 6' 6" | 220 lb. | Age: 18 | | VHL Drafted: 20th Overall (S74) | VHLM Drafted: 19th Overall (S73) Lucifer Olivier Leveque is very much one of the top offensive defensemen that has been a dominating force for two seasons now, and has shown great progress with this part of his game. He has ensured always that he is present when his team needs him and even this season, he is showing it again. LoL was drafted 20th overall originally by his agents team (turned GM) San Diego and then traded to the Rush after his exceptional season seen his team almost make the cup finals. On the Rush, he currently has himself an 18 point campaign in just 10 games, he is almost 2 PPG which is almost unheard of as a defender. Leveque is leading the VHLM for defensemen and is top 10 (6th) in the league for assists. Some people may be disappointed by his lack of a physical/two-way game, but from what we've seen, this is just not his focus for the time being. After being drafted in the VHLM, Leveque went on to be drafted almost in the identical same spot as his VHLM draft, 19th to the Seattle Bears, a team his agent is very, very familiar with, having had multiple players in the past play with this franchise. Leveque knows the GM quite well and knows he'll be very happy with this team, and is excited to get his journey started. PROS Scoring - While you don't see it often, Lucifer currently has an (80) ranking for his scoring ability and has 6 goals on the season (making up 1/3 of his point total). As a defender, this is certainly something to get you excited about, and seeing it on a scouting report is even more amazing. Lucifer has informed his coaches and GM's as well as agent, that this metric will continue to be one he will be focusing on. Passing - Similar to his scoring ability comes another huge offensive threat in the way of his passing. While his (70) ranking for his passing ability is not as high as his scoring ability, his actual numbers of 12 assists actually make up 2/3 of his points which is absolutely nutty. Lucifer takes pride in being a teammate who can spread the wealth and ensure that if opportunities are given, he will make use of them. Skating - Hands down, one of the fastest in the league by far. Lucifer found his stride early on after receiving some help from his coaches, and has never looked back. With an (80) ranking, it is very obvious that this metric is really helping him do what he does best on the ice, score goals and sauce apples. What more could you want from a dynamic threat like this man? Not much, that's what. CONS Checking - Lucifer is not known for his hitting, and everyone knows this. He has not improved his (40) ranking for this metric as of yet, and says he has no plans on doing so. Currently on the season he only has 3 hits and last season only ended the whole year with 31. It is not a big focus of his while in the minors, though he did express some interest in 'letting loose' and 'steamrolling people' when he makes it to the bigs, so that could be exciting... Fighting - While Lucifer was a scrapper in his younger days, the more experienced player now still has his base (40) ranking for the metric, and again this is one that will not be touched likely for his whole career. Lucifer is much more disciplined and level headed, and very much goal oriented. He plans to keep a good head on his shoulders, and do things the right way, though he's French, so how long can we really contain the anger? And there you have it, the complete report on our boy, LoL. More to come from this bright star.
  10. Lucifer Olivier Leveque was born in Gatineau, Quebec into quite a large family. His mother and father in total have 6 kids, all of them ranging from 6 years old (his youngest sister) to his older brother who is 25. Lucifer was actually given the name by his mother specifically who felt he would be the devil, but that's for another story down the road. The Leveque family was a hockey family, similar to most in the Quebec area and all surrounding cities, however Lucifer never really fit in, in the beginning. It was a really rough start to say the least. It was like he had two left feet, he just couldn't grasp the concept of skating at all. While he watched all of his brothers and sisters just having fun and enjoying themselves, Lucifer really actually hated it. They would not really help him, he was the runt of the family, all of them were giants and they just weren't interested in helping him. It wasn't until middle school that one of his hockey coaches finally decided to take him under his wing. Lucifer finally began to get the help he needed to learn all of the tactics and the skills. While he was the "runt" of the family, he was still quite large and grew at a faster pace then most of his peers. By the time he had made it to a certain size, he was outweighing the kids around him by almost 40lbs, which is just absolutely gross. Despite wanting to score, and be a big offensive player, his coach pleaded with him to play defense just due to his sheer strength and size. Lucifer agreed, and on his 12th birthday, he joined the Lac St-Louis Grenadiers. The Grenadiers were very surprised by Lucifer's play, he was knocking people over left and right, dominating the ice, and then they seen something they thought they'd never see...his offensive skills. When he had expressed his desire to be a forward, there was a reason. Lucifer was able to go end to end with ease, he was scoring at an alarming rate and doing it all. He was able to slap clappers from the blue line, he was able to come in and make a flashy play near the crease, and his dangles were better than most of the forwards in the AAA league. With this exceptional talent came a big responsibility, without a captain for some of the season, he was named the captain and eventually lead the league, and total points (leading players by a margin of 13 goals, and 25 points). He would then help the Grenadiers capture their first ever tournament win in the World Class Hockey Tournament, a feat the franchise had never gotten to do before. With this came even more responsibility, but before things could intensify further, his parents had hired him an agent at the young age now of 13 years old to ensure he had someone with the knowledge and understanding of the game, someone who would be there for him every single step of the way. This agent is known as InstantRockstar, and his career was only in the midst of it's exciting years, there was plenty more to come...including his journey to the VHL!
  11. hello @kevinscix and welcome to the VHL! I can see you came from the sister leagues, would it be EFL and SBA? I am in both and enjoy both of them equally (actually will be returning full-time to the SBA myself haha). I am the GM of the San Diego Marlins. I will be honest and up front with you, this is a re-tooling year for us, but his means we are heavily relying on new members and even returning members to hopefully feel inclined to join the team and join us on this fun journey. We can offer you max minutes seeing as we are re-tooling, and a very fun atmosphere and just a good time overall. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please quote and accept this to come join us! Otherwise, other GM's will make an offer and I respect your decision wherever you go. Good luck in your journey, and we hope to see you in a Marlins jersey
  12. Hello @Ash Glover and welcome to the VHL! I am the GM of the San Diego Marlins, and we are indeed going through a rebuild this year. While it may not sound like the most fun, I think I can fix that. As a rebuilder, we can guarantee you max playing time, giving you the potential to really earn some big points and just have a lot of fun. Our LR is constantly active, a ton of alumni and a few of our new creates in there always ready to have a good time. If you'd like to join a very fun, enjoyable atmosphere and just live it up this season, quote this and accept. Regardless, I hope your VHLM experience is memorable, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out, and best of luck wherever you go!
  13. sup @glass !! Nice to see you come around with the other EHM hooligans lol. (Its Zack, former GM of how many teams? lol). I am the GM here of San Diego, we are very much a rebuilder this year and are looking for new faces to join the team who just want to play for fun and kind of chill and relax. To some it may be boring, obviously the biggest goal of the minor league is to have fun, so if rebuilding isn't for you, I totally respect and understand. We can however offer you max mins because our roster is incomplete, and we'd be able to keep you there so long as you continue to stay active and grow your player! If you'd like to come to San Diego and just have a damn good time, quote this and accept. Either way it's nice to see you join and good luck on your journey

  15. welcome back @linsangeles San Diego is in a bit of a transitional year and as such, we're hopefully relying on returning and new players whom are avalable on waivers to build a team around. We'd like to offer you MAX MINS to come join the team, you'll play on all the top lines, with top mins and join a fun and active LR. If this sounds fun to you, go ahead and quote to accept, the other GM's will also make an offer, so you're allowed to wait as well before accepting. Regardless good luck, and have fun
  16. @Brrbisbrrwelcome back! San Diego is going to be going all-in this year for returnees and new members, as we are going through a re-tool phase. So while we aren't aiming to be a top cup contender, we are looking to have a lot of fun with returnees and new members, and provide them MAX MINUTES with a fun, active LR and just a great atmosphere. We hope this sounds intriguing to you, but regardless of where you go, enjoy your time back in the league!
  17. hey @DoktorFunk Like RJ said, and we've spoken about, the fact you're a GM is likely putting you on Ottawa, but I will at least say my words haha. San Diego had an awesome year last year, good group of guys who are still in the LR, active bunch with a lot of just genuinely fun people to be around We're on a re-tool year, so max minutes would be the best thing I could offer you at the moment. If we can fill our team with enough solid earners, I could possibly even see us going above and beyond expectations, but at the very least, you could pad your stats and earn max mins on this team in a great environment. Good luck no matter your decision, look forward to seeing what the Giant can do on the ice with any team
  18. hey @Jayrad28 so glad to see you re-create, really enjoyed seeing your career play out. San Diego is in the midst of a re-tool, we will be relying heavily on re-creates and brand new recruits to fill the team as we opted out of this draft to build for the future. That being said, I can offer you max minutes, top line everything and we will be making a huge recruiting push. We'd love to have you back in San Diego, but also understand if you want to go somewhere more competitive. Quote me if you want to come home, we'll always bring back one of our own
  19. insane ride, glad to see one of my waiver pickups/draftees stuck it out and really had a great ride. Good luck with the new player!
  20. 1. We gave it a hell of a run but our season has ended. How do you feel about our season as a whole? Our team success was one of the best in the league, we overcame some big hurdles to end up where we did and I am super proud of the whole team. This was one of the most energetic and just fun teams I've had in my long tenure as GM. 2. Who is your pick for our playoff MVP? One hundred percent HJK, the guy just carried us through the playoffs on the back end and was a treat to have in the LR, super happy he was on the team. 3. What are your aspirations for next season? Hopefully win a VHLM 'ship before going up to Seattle, would be nice! 4. Now for some lighter stuff; Cats or Dogs? Defend your answer. I am allergic to cats, and I have 3 dogs, defended? I think so. 5. Now that Vegas got a new shiny logo, what changes would you like to see for the Marlins’ crest in the future? I would love to see it just better represented of who the team is, I just think the coloring and just the logo in general was kind of lacking, I'd love to see some kind of a better team name and better incorporation of San Diego as a whole. I’m gonna start playing D&D with some friends soon and I’m actually kind of excited about it. So in the spirit of that the last question is related to D&D. If you play or have played answer 6A, if you haven’t or won’t answer 6B. 6A. Tell me about your D&D character(s). N/A 6B. If you don’t play D&D, do you have a reason why? I had some slight interest in like early high school days, but none of my friends I hung around with ever got interested in it, and as my likes changed, D&D just kind of fell off my radar and I never bothered to pick it up.
  21. Lucifer Olivier Leveque, the French phenom whom is in his first full year of the VHLM is among the top defenders in the league and is proving that there is nothing he isn't willing to do to get the job done for his club. San Diego has just made it out of the first round, and in this first round, the team went 4-1, and as mentioned Leveque was quite the brute force on the blueline during this first round of the playoffs. In 5 games, he has amassed 7 points, 6 of which are assists which puts him among the top of the league for that metric, while his loan goal doesn't really qualify him to be the next all-star shooter, but still means he's gotten the job done. In this time he also has a whopping 88 shots blocked which is just insane seeing as its only 5 games played, which puts his average around 17/game, let that sink in, 17 times PER GAME he is risking his body for the good of his team. Overall, he's very happy with his play, he's happy with how the league is progressing and his team, and he now looks forward to the draft, where he hopes to become the steal of the century.
