There are times when players fall off the ladder. It's hard to stay on top, it requires persistence, dedication and a passion for the league. But if you want some advice from a top 5 pick who's fallen off, then keep reading. Today we talk with a player who's reputation has fallen harder than it's climbed, Rhye Tyr. "Where did you go?" "It turns out when you have a life, it exceeds hobbies from the outside, like this. I burned myself out, got too involved." Rhye Tyr has had an amazing year. Scoring 66 points, 9 goals and having 57 assists. Averaging above a point a game, as a defenseman, in an otherwise defenseless draft. The VHL might have a small flaw when it comes to players ability for simming. Achievements are a thing, sure. However those don't contribute during the season. And it affects the draft, for example when Fish was selected when he wasn't eligible. "You've been seen as going as low as the 24th pick, do you think that's fair?" "I used to be projected to go top 5. It's not about the stats, or how well your player sims. It's about where you put your points and how long are you willing to go? Consistency moves you up the ladder. A good way to do that is getting a job that pays tpe. You don't even need to do your job, at least there are people that get paid that don't do what they've been assigned. I think there's a problem with the system, and I have an idea on how to fix it." My proposed solution is a system that rewards players for simming well. You can claim that players, like Tripple H would spiral out of control, but that's how it is in real life. Nico Hischier, Nathan Mackinnon, Rasmus Dahlin, Elias Petterson are all good enough to play as the first line/pairing on the major team. And those are just a few examples. It would be up to the players to manage their stats. If you get a hat trick in a game, get an extra tpe. If you get a Gordie Howe hat trick, get an extra tpe (1 goal, 1 assist and a fight). Or, as a goalie, if you get a shutout then you can claim 1 tpe. It would also get players more involved with the simmed games. There would be another dynamic between players and management. Players would want to stay on higher lines for more icetime and be given a chance to get more points by competing for a better team. Of course, there would be a cutoff to how many seasons you could claim tpe this way. You could have it go on for five seasons of a players lifespan, let's say. I wanted to make a media spot about it because as the draft gets closer, because I think it's thematic. Prospects are all about potential tpe. We could have more legends this way, and be given the chance to see some greater players come out of this. Seriously, let me know if it's a good or sucky idea down below.

1. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't Houston against Halifax. Houston drafted a strong team and Halifax is yet again another great contender. 2. I think Halifax did well with their earlier trade, picking up some prospects. I think after this season Halifax will be really bad but who knows. 3. I know for sure that I'm going to be on the team and I'm super excited to represent my country with some high-level games. 4. I think that Dimitri Volosenkov is going to win the best two way forward, quote me on it. 5. I listen to mostly anything and everything. I like being calm and cool before a game so I'll listen to Boy Pablo. 6. " Incompetent, incompetent, incompetent" - @SirRupertBarnes. In all seriousness, The. Best. Ever. @Thranduil @McWolf

Plate Let Go From Saskatoon Wild (AGM FIRING) [1/2]
Plate replied to Plate's topic in Archived Media Spots
@RunnerBert11 It's a league related project Look out for more hints on what it might be! -
On 15/03/2019, Assistant General Manager Plate was let go from his management position due to a lack of engagement, duty and responsibility to the Saskatoon We sat down with Plate for an exclusive interview. “Mr. Plate, with all due respect, what happened?” “You see, I think I know the exact incident that led to this move. There was a miscommunication involving the lines, now, mostly on my behalf. However, for the past couple simming weeks the lines weren’t updated. Peace had given me that task and I failed to do it. Our team dropped a lot because of it. I feel bad mostly for the guys that were in the locker room. We have… well I had a good team with Saskatoon.” “Was this a sudden thing that happened, then?” “No of course not. I basically asked Peace if I could be removed from the position. It wasn’t so much of a discussion as it was “I have this personal project with the league, and I can’t be both Assistant General Manager and have a roll in what I’m doing now.” so I decided to let Peace know that he had my blessing to do what he had to do.” “What’s this personal project?” “Had I wanted you to know, I would have told you what it was, end of discussion.” “How can we be sure that the next time you’re given a job, you’ll stick to it?” “If you’re referring to my position with the VSN, then don’t take it to heart. I was threatened to be fired behind closed doors if I continued to bring my grievances from the organization to light. It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of what they’re doing. It’s ironic how a media organization can be so sensoring. And from what I can see nothing has changed. So, in that case, if there’s a good organization worth fighting for, I’ll be more than happy to fight alongside it. However, in terms of getting another position as an Assistant General Manager, the one thing that I would like to say is that at least I’m honest. And I think that my removal was mostly based around circumstance. Whereas I was busy with the aforementioned personal project. I didn’t do my job the first time around. It’s as simple as that. I just didn’t do my job. Mistakes are okay, just as long as they happen once.” Mr. Plate was 11-16-1 with the Saskatoon Wild. We did not contact Saskatoon for any further comments.

Rhye Tyr A Gem in the Second Rhye Tyr was clouded by doubt when he was selected 16th overall. There were a lot of factors that contributed to his placement in the S65 VHLM Dispersal Draft. We asked Tyr what he thought about the draft. You were drafted 16th overall by Halifax. This was their first pick of the draft. Are you happy with where you went? I signed with them last year and made a really deep cup run. I have playoff experience with the team and I'm familiar with the locker room. I can't think of a place I'd rather go. We had Fishy and Vands who were role models for me and I can't wait to have the opportunity to get a cup with Halifax this season. You entered S64 explosively and were looking like a top pick, what slowed you down? Well you know, there were some personal issues that I was dealing with. School was really busy and I have to prioritize my studies over hockey. It is what it is, it hurt my draft position but honestly, that's totally okay with me. We work with what we have and I think Halifax has a great team this year. We thank Rhye Tyr as he heads into the Halifax roster as a potential top pairing defenseman. He had 7 points in 21 regular S64 games. (230 words)

1) Halifax was the dream team to get drafted by. I'm excited to get them their first cup! 2) The answer is the same as the first. I love Halifax, it's where I'm from and I couldn't think of a better place to play for my player! 3) He's gonna spend his time playing the guitar and spend any free time with family :D! 4) You guys played a killer season. It was close near the end but you were the better team. Congrats to your win! 5) Get the captaincy for Halifax. 6) Thranduil bar none. Not even close. Get him a team, please. He needs it!!

Hello there Emil Passerelli! Welcome to the league! I'm the Saskatoon Wild assistant general manager. I hope you're finding everything okay. It's great to see more young talent join the league! We, on the Wild, have a great spot for you on our roster. And if you gain enough could be seeing monster minutes and even a cup! I'm offering the standard entry-level deal 1.5 mil for 1 year (It's the standard across all teams). We'll help you get your player to stud status in no time! I hope you choose well by choosing Saskatoon! Take care, Plate, Saskatoon Wild AGM

+10 Rhye Tyr

@Peace Great to have the opportunity to help manage an amazing franchise :D.

1) I wanted Halifax to win because I was on their team. But they lost. 2) The VHLM draft just happened and the team I most wanted to play for, Halifax, drafted me. It's a great opportunity and I'm happy to be in the locker room. 3) Rhye Tyr always loved playing the guitar at his home in Yarmouth, NS. I can't imagine you'd see him doing anything else besides that. 4) Nothing because I'll still be in the VHLM. 5) Rhye Tyr can only keep getting better from here. He started as a late bloomer in S64 and made his way to the VHLM finals. I can't expect him to do anything less in the future. 6) You could move the world juniors to the offseason instead of having it in the middle. Might be an odd suggestion, but that way people can get more involved and the playoffs are already out of the way.

Hey, I'm applying for the podcast position. Though my resume is short it is not lacking in quality content. I have all the equipment and previous experience with streaming to create well made podcasts. My writing and influence within the league has already been explosive and will continue to do so. As for the VSN, taking on an influencer in the league would do great in taking in a higher viewership and building the brand. If you require anything further please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for considering me as an option.
