Obviously, I'd love for Malmo to make it again, but I'm actually going to go with a different dark horse and say it's going to be Moscow. Riga has had terrible luck in the playoffs for as long as I've been in the league, and something doesn't really feel right about Helsinki, although I don't know why. Maybe it's just the fact that they're set up to tear everything down next season or so, but Moscow really looks promising in my opinion. Keep the logo and the name...dammit, I can't say Nuuk Nukes, can I... I'm actually perfectly fine with having a team in Mexico, and I don't feel that it's terribly out of place. But since the idea's been put out there, I suppose I should suggest a city with a significant Native American population--on this list, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque seem like a couple of reasonable choices. I actually very much share the "stop handing out more free TPE" opinion held by a lot of older members of the site, and it's for that reason that I'm not 100% in favor of it. But, whatever, it's the most wonderful time of the year, and I'm not about to say no to some fresh upgrades. Whole lot of family stuff. Going to work late tomorrow, early the next morning, family stuff that evening, more family stuff the next day, so tonight is the last break I'll be able to catch for a while. I'm still not entirely convinced that Disney won't wait a few years and then try to ram another trilogy down our throats. I thought 7 was good, 8 was shit, 9 was ok, but it's a dead horse at this point and if they try to keep beating it, anything else they do with the franchise will just force it farther downhill.

Hope I did the thread thing right. I'm fairly neutral on the nostalgia thing, I've only watched the movies within the past few years so I didn't really grow up on the stuff. Probably just didn't have the same meaning for me as it did for other people.

You know what, I'm going to start putting stuff in spoiler tags.

I think overall it was a lot more supernatural and ghost-y than any of the others. I didn't particularly like that aspect but the other guy I watched it with loved it. This also bothered me; it was way too much of a cliché movie moment to be a good point in the plot. I did really like how the whole "characters falling in love" thing didn't take over the entire story. That was a big mistake made in the last one and led to my opinion of it being significantly lowered.

It's probably going to take another watching to determine my opinion. Some parts were really cool, some parts seemed a bit too forced. Overall a solid movie but I'm not yet sure I'm happy with it as the final one.

Who here has seen the last Star Wars? I've just seen it. Figured I could start a discussion thread so we could keep the spoilers off of Discord.
