  1. Come on, "ethics" and "VHLM GMing" do not belong together in the same sentence.
  2. I actually got word that the answer I used was wrong, but didn't resubmit because I needed to keep my tradition of missing one per season.
  3. Same with the Hounds; feel free to crash ours anytime you want @gorlab. Alumni already do on occasion...
  4. So, um, we did a thing @Erik Summers... Looking forward to the next round! Good luck to Ottawa going forward.
  5. What exactly do you mean by this? I haven't noticed anything huge going down lately...
  6. And again...
  7. Is this not why we unbanned @boubabi?
  8. It's season 69, and the Hounds have had 69 different players on their roster at some point in time. Coincidence?

  9. FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY I think #fixthelottery got me on a blacklist for this type of thing.
  10. SATURDAY--when it became clear that Jerry Garcia would not be voted into this season's all-star game, surprise was felt by many around the league. "I thought he'd get in for sure," said Apollo Hackett (@Renomitsu) when asked about the matter in a press conference yesterday. "Sure, his numbers dropped a bit, but it's still very hard to find anyone better than Jerry when it comes to overall defensive numbers. We're talking about someone who broke 130 blocked shots this season on a team with an absolutely packed blueline. That's very hard to do and I think he deserves far more credit than he's getting. This league cares too much about offense, really--nobody cares if you can do what a defender is supposed to do if you're already putting up 60 points." Though Hackett and others agree that anti-defensive, pro-points bias kept Garcia out for the first time since his rookie season, that didn't stop more overt attempts on vote laundering from being made, from simple corrupt team-based ballot stuffing to the downright ridiculous. Among the latter is a video obtained by TMZ (who else?) which shows former Halifax GM Anthony Rogers (@McWolf) performing what appears to be a Satanic ritual in an attempt to invoke otherworldly forces to skew the votes. Beginning the video with a "Wazzup YouTube bitches," Rogers proceeds to burn incense and chant until just over seven minutes into the video, when a monkey wearing a circus costume is brought into the frame, beheaded, and subsequently burned, with some additional chanting and gyrations on Rogers' part. Throughout the duration of the video, a banner can be seen in the background, bearing the inscription "SATAN SAYS NO TO JERRY: DAMN HIS VOTERS," and the Grateful Dead's "Fire on the Mountain" can be heard playing faintly off-camera. While highly unclear whether Rogers' actions contributed in any way to Garcia's snub, the result was what he desired. When contacted, current Halifax players and management neither confirmed nor denied any involvement.
  11. Claiming. Excited to see what the prize is, but if it's merch and I somehow end up winning it, please either hold another drawing or donate it--I'll very likely never make use of it and it should go to someone else who will.
  12. OK? And I never said this. I, again, can understand why Olsen would appear on this list, and I have no issue with it. I'm simply trying to pick my way through the reasoning as it seems to contradict itself a bit. I never said Olsen was a stud defenseman (defensewoman? whatever). Nowhere have I ever said that 70 defense automatically makes you a great player, so let's also not pretend that I did. BUT--your reasoning seems to give literally all of the credit to the team, which, yes, I agree, helped quite a bit. You'll notice, though, that no other player on the roster was that high up--Kris Rice is the only other one that comes close, and we've got many high-TPE players, defensemen included, who didn't even touch it. So it's really not 100% the team in my opinion--Olsen has a good starter build that happens to be working well, in addition to having a solid team. All I'm saying is that brushing off stats entirely to fit the narrative of the article is something I disagree with. [since my computer won't let me hit enter for whatever reason, consider this a new paragraph] Let's both drop the subject for now. Solid article overall, and don't let this discourage you from putting your opinion out there.
  13. I mean, point still stands. TPE doesn't mean anything if the player does well. This season Olsen put up a +47, the highest this team has ever seen from anyone ever. I can understand why you'd call the pick a bust from a TPE standpoint, but saying that stats mean nothing because the team is good is a tiny bit ignorant.
  14. Here to put in another FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY

  18. @flyersfan1453 Please dont call yourself a megafan. You literally read movie spoilers before going into it and ruined it for yourself. Not to mention reading reviews which clouded your judgement and swayed your opinion. A real fan would form their own opinion by watching the movie, not piggy backing off of the norm.
