  1. @Zetterberg First of all, welcome to the league. I hope you stick around for a while. 1. How did you find the VHL? 2. Do you have any experience in other sim leagues, or is this your first? 3. What's your impression of the VHL so far? Anything that sticks out? If it's too early feel free to say. 4. What do you have planned for your player? Position, player type, etc. 5. What inspired you to choose "Connor Strome"? 6. If you've been signed by a team already, which, and why choose that team? If not, what team(s) would you like to sign with? If you have any questions about anything else in either the forum or the portal feel free to ask. Here to help you out.
  2. Should play for Mexico City they need some defense plus epic team.

    SEA/DAV; S70

There’s still a question mark by Bridges(sorry pal). As I’m sure we’re all hoping he can stay active, we just don’t know for sure if he will be two, three or more seasons from now. Davos is gonna have to bank on the 72 draft being really deep because NYA looks to be on the come-up and their pick likely isn’t going to be in the lottery. Unless they turn into the Bears right now. Seattle wins though. That’s my brainless take on it.
  4. Hey @Pengu, glad to have you here. Just know we’re always here to help if you need anything- now onto my questions. 1. How did you find the VHL? 2. Do you have any experience with other sim leagues, or is this the first? 3. What is your impression of the VHL so far? Is it too early to say? 4. What are you planning for your player? What position? Will he be a scorer, playmaker, two-way, etc.? 5. What’s a brief backstory behind why you chose to name yourself and your player Pengu? 6. Is there anything I can do to help you enjoy your experience in the VHL?

  7. If anybody is willing to let my player score a couple goals on your team I’d be generous enough to slide you some cash under the table.

  8. 1. What is the story behind your username? I made it up in a seventh grade science paper about an alien that has thermal vision. Yeah an odd origin. 2.What NHL (or other professional) player are you looking to model your player after? Probably Oliver Ekman-Larsson or Adam Boqvist, essentially a power play quarterback that isn't too bad in the defensive end. 3. What is an underrated skill of your player that helps contribute to team success? Probably speed and defensive position. With twenty-two takeaways to nine giveaways, he's looking pretty solid. 4. Who is your favorite professional hockey team? Blackhawks everyday. 5. Are there any VHL teams that you specifically would or wouldn't want to play for? Why? Hard to say. I like all of the current GMs. I was a bit worried about going to Davos because of all the drama surrounding the team, but truthfully I would've been fine with it. 6. What is an award you would like to win with your player? Honestly, I want some individual success because that means I'm not a brainlet when it comes to building my player. Plus, if I have a good player my team is probably going to be better. So I feel like best offensive forward or even best defensive forward would be something I'm striving for. If I'm in the upper echelon of defensive players in the league, surely the cups will come as well.
  9. Starting off his career in the big league with a bang, Omdahl found himself in the penalty box just forty seconds into the game against the Toronto Legion. Not necessarily the way he wanted his first shift to go, but it'll definitely be one he'll remember, as he completely shwacked the piss out of Bjorn Scoringsonn's leg, which ultimately led to a tripping minor. Nearly four minutes later, after a dump in from the Legion, Omdahl gathered the puck and passed it to Hogan in the neutral zone. As Hogan entered the zone, he took a shot and missed the net. Omdahl received the puck after a generous bounce off the boards and sniped it top cheese to get his first career goal on his first ever shot. All too similarly to his previous season in the VHLM, where he scored 28 goals on the power play, Omdahl once again found a way to contribute on the power play. Sadly, Odin got caught in a crucial moment for the Bears. With only three minutes in a game where Seattle was losing 2-1 to the Legion, Omdahl was called for diving. Which could be a good sign for his confidence and hockey IQ this early on if he can figure out how to get away with diving. Finishing the game with three shots, three hits, one shot blocked, four penalty minutes, twenty-two takeaways, and nine giveaways. Omdahl is looking like he's exactly what the Bears wanted with their third overall pick this past draft. But it's too early to tell just how good he will be. For there is a long way to go in not only this season, but also the many to come.
  10. no new seattle PC 1. Again welcome to the team or welcome back! How do you feel about the team's chances this season? Looks like the Kings are gonna have a tough time. Daldo and Nyko are gonna have to do some heavy lifting though. Efiug will need to be a big difference maker as well. 2. What kind of player are you hoping to grow into? A good one. 3. What did you do for the off-season or if you are new to the VHLM how did you prepare for joining the league? Point tasks. 4. Do you have any individual goals for this year? 15-20 points if I'm lucky. 5. If your hockey career doesn't pan out what would you do next? Something hockey related like scouting. 6. Anything you'd like management to focus on this year? How can we help you grow as a player? Make sure you guys are making it fun for the new guys so they keep coming back each week.
