Kris Rice The rookie phenomenon on the Calgary Wranglers is being called out... for how great he is. For the season (which has ended), Rice was a pretty decent rookie, so decent he was 2nd in rookie scoring with 36 points. He was drafted 11th overall in the VHL, and has been a pleasant surprise for the team, and just a great guy in general, locker room, and in game. While he does need to get stronger, and maybe even edge out his physical side Rice is just an overall surprise this season with his fantastic play, He was 4th in team goal scoring, and is a well known playmaker, and I just wanna throw it out there that I think if he stays long term he can become a legend, and he looks like he wants to stay long term. Meanwhile his playoff performance has not been as surprising, but getting 2 points in 8 games isn’t terrible, when facing incredible goalies and defense all night. Rice if he stays active could just help this team become that dynasty they’ve wanted to be for so long, and he’s just an overall big piece to Calgary being a top 3 team this season, and maybe he’ll have his name engraved into the Cup. Taking this all into consideration, I just wanna give him an nhl player comparison. comparison: Jakub Voracek Calgary loves ya Ricer @Ricer13

At least he doesn’t need inflated stats to be a 'good' player

Today we will be looking at one of the best young trios of the VHL, and maybe the best modern trio to come? This article will be covering three guys of course: Guy Lesieur, Benny Graves, and George Washington. Now to add a little fact, Graves is 4th in all-time Dragons points, Washington 5th, and Lesieur 7th, and with guys like Aaltonen, Valentino, and Johnson, most likely not going to be able to score at their rate these guys could potentially be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all-time. Now these guys all came out of the S69 draft, and where very high-end prospects from the start, Washington although was automatically going to the dragons, so Graves came in at 2nd and Lesieur at 6th. I’m sure enorama is happy to obtain those two guys, although one by trade. The trio had good rookie season Lesieur had the worst posting 22 points. While no one has a physical game, the main reason I can see these guys making it in is growth, after they had solid rookie seasons they just all had a great year, Graves and Washington scoring 60+ points, and Lesieur showing his goal scoring dominance with 25 points which is a big reason why he’s 3rd all-time in Dragons goals. If these guys can stick together they might just form a dynasty. I see Graves and a Washington getting in ASAP, and Lesieur getting in a season or two later. Though with their crazy growth you can get really see anything happening, and big shout-out to Raleigh Ritchie, cause if one of these guys just disappear I could see him replacing that person, and from a Wrangler good luck to these Dragons. players mentioned: @Enorama, @STZ, @KC15

why @Nykonax should be the commissioner of the wvhl (women's victory hockey league, I know there are female players, but still)

Drafted 20th I’d say that’s quiet the rise, but I’ll give this article a like regardless

This should be fairly simple, I’m going to be placing the best 5th round pick from every draft, and I’ll be getting back to the 3 stars after this, and let’s get right into it. (EDIT) Quick note S65 had no 5th round picks that turned into VHL players so I ranked their best 4th rounder S65: Don Draper - This one is really easy to select as no other S65 player has been drafted in the 4th round and played a VHL game besides Draper. Draper while his good years are behind him, and he’ll definitely start to decline, he definitely had some pretty solid years, as in S67 he came in with 17 points in 72 games, and the following lit it up with 30+ goals and 58 points which was his best season, and then the following he’d have a 45 point season, and he has just been a legend for the Prague as he’s 4th all-time in points, 1st in goals, 2nd in hits, and tied for 1st in Game Winners. While he probably won’t be top 5 in those categories for long it’s just nice to see what he’s done. This season he’s on pace for 24 points, and hopefully he can bounce back. S66: Cody Smith - This one was really easy as well, and that’s because although about 5 players from the 5th round played in the VHL none come close to Smith besides Laughton, and Cody really emerged as a top young offensive defensemen scoring his first ever 10+ goal season, and barely missed the 50 point mark, and although Smith has dropped some in the TPE earning department, I can’t say the wranglers regret the pick, and hopefully he’ll get back to earning especially since he’s now an AGM. He definitely is a big building block, and really just went off last year crushing career highs, and he isn’t going to have a year like the last offensively, nor physically, but he’s posed a great two-way game, and is helping Calgary dominate in Bushito's amazing rebuild. S67: Brendan Plunkett - Some might not agree, but you gotta feel bad for him he’s been playing on Davos when he should be flourishing on a good team, that could use a depth player. Plunkett last season posted 30 points in 72 games, and this season will most likely break that as he has 27 in 63 games. He’s been a solid player, although he probably doesn’t remain here for long as he’s inactive, and hasn’t posted since September, and I just wanna give a big shoutout to Edu Stava who is near Plunkett's caliber, but is a rookie, and will most likely be here in a season or two. S68: Raleigh Ritchie - Ritchie is without a doubt my pick, and at this point is only going to continue to impress and grow, and he definitely shows that sleeper talent that you love to see. He’s only going to continue to get better with 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points, and he’s top ten in rookie scoring, and will be a great Dragons player, and maybe even as legendary as Draper (for the Phantom). To sum it up Ritchie is pretty good. Safe to say most of these guys are keepers, but how do you guys think most of these selections will age? (520+ words 1 week of claiming)
-
This didn’t age well already
-
M. Richard - Datsyuk - Howe Orr - Weber Dryden (imo could’ve been the goat of goalies had he played a lengthy career)
-
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if McDavid used his Edmonton witch powers to get the 1st pick
-
If he went to MTL it’d the 50's again, and I don’t think Detroit would win more then like a cup or two with him, but Yzerman is a good gm especially with Tampa Bay

So I ran a quick draft lottery simulator, and using that I’m going to make a very short mock draft, with a short summary or no summary for the 1st 15 picks. 1st overall pick (OTT) = Alexis Lafreniere - I think this pick is obvious, and if Lafreniere ends up with the Senators, he could definitely be their greatest player of all-time up there with Spezza, Alfredsson, and Heatley. He’s a great playmaker with the best readiness with every player, and best potential. 2nd overall pick (LAK) = Quinton Byfield - Byfield, while he does definitely have the chance to lower in his stock, but I just can’t see it happening, and if the Kings get Byfield other teams will need to watch out as he will propel their rebuild, and he’s going to be a great playmaker, skater, and gritty type player. 3rd overall pick (CHI) = Jamie Drysdale - Now this is probably a surprise for a lot, because this draft is like 97% forwards, and Drysdale is the only defensemen projected top 10, but nevertheless Chicago really needs that defensemen of the future, and Drysdale will definitely be just that. 4th overall pick (DET) = Tim Stutzle - Stutzle can really be a Detroit great, and I don’t wanna jinx him, but he’s everything the wings need which is a two-way forward, who is versatile as Stutzle plays every position at forward possible, and he has a high upside to make things even better. 5th overall pick (ANA) = Lucas Raymond - Lucas Raymond is one of the high-end scoring players, as in the SHL he has 9 points in 28 games, and he might need to grow a year or maybe even two you never know with these European prospects, Raymond even has the chances of developing a two-way game he has a high ceiling probably some of the lowest floor in this top 5, but a great pick nonetheless. 6th overall pick (NJD) = Holtz- Alexander Holtz and Lucas Raymond the two Swedes, and I think during this whole time Raymond has had the upper hand, and that just shows how good both these guys are, and Holtz can definitely be that elite forward the Devils are seeking, and even make an elite duo with Jack Hughes. 7th overall pick (SJS -> OTT) = Rossi - Now Rossi in my opinion is a top 5 talent, but due to his size teams are gonna pass because they just don’t learn, and I think one of the few teams that won’t pass is Ottawa considering he plays there already, and considering that he’s a local, and I’m sure he’d love to play with Lafreniere and maybe we’ll see the next best duo. 8th overall pick (MTL) = Perfetti - Cole Perfetti is going to higher than he deserves most likely, but nonetheless he’s a great player I think he has a really low floor however, but teams are looking at that ceiling which is a Brock Boeser type player who can snipe, but show that playmaking side. 9th overall pick (BUF) = Lundell - Anton Lundell is a beauty he’s a great two-way player who will compliment Jack Eichel and Dahlin, and hopefully make Eichel have to not have nearly as much pressure, and he’ll be a bright spot while Jeff Skinner rots. 10th overall pick (ARI -> NJD) = Gunler - Noel Gunler is one of the lowkey prospects this year, and he has great playmaking upside, and will hopefully fill out New Jersey's young line of Holtz and Hughes making them a trio. 11th pick (MIN) = Holloway - Dylan Holloway is a guy who could honestly fall out of the top 15, but nevertheless I have him going to the wild, and taking a big development path of 2 -> 3 years give or take, and maybe even trading him. 12th pick (CGY) = Askarov - Yaroslav Askarov is a big guy in this draft literally and figuratively he’s one of the greatest goaltending prospects, and will get that CGY goalie tandem from good to elite, and might even get a vezina or a few and a couple of Jennings, or maybe he’ll be the next a Price and get that big bad Hart Trophy 13th pick (NYR) = Amirov - B2B russians in these here picks, and Amirov has a high ceiling and a pretty good floor something we’ve seen in these players a lot. Amirov also will most likely take a 2 year development path however still great nonetheless. 14th pick (FL) - LaPierre - Hendrix LaPierre is definitely a controversial pick early in he was much more highly regarded, and he fell for reasons I don’t understand, but nonetheless LaPierre will hopefully fill in next to Barkov and Huberdeau, and be a Panther great, and maybe help them get their first cup. 15th pick (CBJ) - Jake Sanderson - Sanderson is a good two-way defensemen, who could really help Jones and Werenski take some time on the bench, and not be the only defensive forces out there, and he might not ever win a Norris, but he will probably always be in Norris talks, and could be a more defensively aware John Klingberg. Thats all what does your top 15 look like, I’m assuming it’s different especially with this being one of the deepest draft we might ever see.

2nd and final claim.
