  1. The season is about to start. How excited are you? Eagles is excited to start and get a full season in the VHLE under his belt What teammate are you most excited to see on the ice, this season? I have just joined the team so I am actually excited to see everyone play and see how everyone gels on the ice this season Who do you think will win the VHL? I think Seattle and Moscow have a good shot at heading back into the finals. They both have strong teams The Stanley Cup has a winner. What did you think about the Finals? It was definitely a fun series to watch. It would have been nice to see Tampa win last night to have a game 7 but Colorado deserved the win. What's your early prediction for next season's Stanley Cup Champion? I am a Leafs fan so that is my prediction. Probably won't happen as they always choke in the first round but one can only hope Would you be into any form of team building, e.g. World of Tanks, your GM's favorite game, match? If it is a game I own then I would definitely be interested in playing as a form of team building

  4. Accepted!
  5. Heading into the upcoming draft, Henry Eagles, always believed he would be playing in the VHLM in his first season. He held many interviews with teams that were looking at drafting him in the upcoming draft but there has been a slight change in the last few days. Henry was informed that technically he could skip the M and head straight to the E. While this information was last minute, Henry, did not have much time to think about the decision. He quickly called in his agent as well as the rest of the Eagles dynasty players and had a discussion on what the best way forward would be for him and his career. With the E being an new league, no Eagles has yet played in the VHLE league, and this could be a good opportunity for Henry to showcase his talent playing against more skilled opponents. On the flipside, if he commits to playing in the M, he would be one of the top players in the league and could really climb the stat board to improve his draft stock. After much deliberation, Henry, has decided that he will play in the E this season. " I think this is the best choice for me at this current time. I always want to play against the best and I believe this will be the best for my development" Henry said " With this being last minute, I know not many teams in the E will have the opportunity to scout or interview me due to this late decision but I think they have already heard what I can bring to the table. It will definitely be an interesting draft and I might go way lower then I thought but it will be worth it in the end" After the decision, Henry's, agent scrambled to call all the VHLM teams that have reached out with interviews and let them know that Henry will no longer be participating in the M. While many teams were upset that Henry would not be gracing them in the M, they all understood that it will be better for him playing against players that are higher caliber then the M. It will know be interesting to see where Henry will go in the draft. If he would have stayed in the M, he would have definitely been a top 3 pick. Heading into the E, some GM's may not even know he will be available. This could lead to a big drop in the draft standings for Henry but it will also lead to the team that drafts him, most likely getting the steal of the draft. When asked if he has any team preferences this is what Henry said... " I do not have a preference, I am always a team player and will give it my all to help the team win. They can be a rebuild team or a contender, this does not matter to me. All that the team needs to know is that they are getting a player who will put in all his effort in making sure the team gets better"
  6. 1. The VHL Draft recently happened, so if you got drafted how do you feel? If your draft is next season, what are your goals for the VHL Draft? My goal for this season is to do well in the E and to improve my draft stock heading into my VHL season 2. What do you think is the biggest thing you can bring to your team next season? The biggest thing I can bring to whatever team drafts me is the ability to put the puck in the net and to be that player that can turn the tide of the game 3. There has been a lot of GM turnover this offseason, would you ever consider becoming a GM or AGM? I was AGM of the Wranglers but unfortunately had to step down due to having a baby. Maybe in the future I will look into another AGM role or even a GM role. 4. The Stanley Cup Finals is in full swing, with the Colorado Avalanche walloping the Lightning so far. Do you think Tampa Bay can come back to win it and complete the threepeat? Tampa will make the series close, they always start out slow and then get into the swing of things. I don't think Colorado will sweep. 5. As I am writing this, it is Father's Day (at least here in Canada), what is one thing you appreciate about a paternal figure in your life? This was actually my first fathers day and it was pretty great. Whole family got together to spend time which was nice. 6. We're going on a camping trip! What do you bring for the group? Lots of meat to grill. Have to make sure everyone is well fed for the amount of liquor that usually gets consumed!
  7. Henry Eagles was unable to help Team World win a medal as they lost in the Quarter Finals to Canada. It was not the best of tournaments for Henry as he was unable to contribute as much as he would have liked. Many believe this was due to the whirlwind end of the season for him and he just ran out of gas. He played in the last 16 games in the M, quickly joined the Junior showcase and 1 hour after winning the Junior showcase he was off on a plane to join his World team. Henry finished with 3 points in 8 games. All 3 points were assists. " I did my best but at the end of the day I think I just pushed myself too hard" said Henry " I could really start myself losing steam as the World Junior championship carried on. I committed to too many tournaments. It was definitely fun but going forward I need to maybe spread out my tournaments" Henry is now preparing for the upcomming draft as he looks forward to playing a full season in the VHLE.
  8. Oh damn didn't know and was continuing to play the 5618676 game.... lol
  9. Review: I enjoyed this article. It's nice getting a players perspective on how the finals went. It was a really tough series and it's interesting to see a young players perspective on comming so close! There is always next year and look forward to seeing how your player does. The article was written well and has a picture which is always a nice touch. I can't really see anything that would need improvement. Well done! 10/10
  10. Review: I always enjoy reading articles about players that have retired and seeing what they have been up to since moving on from the VHL. Great to see Hextall is now playing for his favorite childhood team the San Jose Sharks! This article was great with lots of information on Hextall. Only minor items I would add is maybe a picture to help the article pop and maybe have the quotes stand out more by adding color. Other then that great work! 9/10
  11. As the Junior showcase tournament is wrapping up, more exciting news have been announced from Henry Eagles camp. Henry, has been selected to participate in the World Junior Championship, representing Team World. There was a shock in the Eagle's camp when the roster was announced, as Henry was not expecting to participate in the WJC this year due to only having played a few games in the VHLM and a few games in the showcase. Whatever Henry has shown in that limited amount of time must have impressed Team World scouts as they were very keen on making Henry a part of Team World. "It was definately suprising getting the call but I definately accepted right away. It's an honor to represent your country and I would never turn down an opportunity like this " said Henry " I have been training hard and it seems to be paying off. First the Junior Showcase and now the World Junior Championships. I couldn't have asked for anything more during my new start in the VHLM." Henry has been playing really well since entering the VHLM and everyone is taking notice. His first 16 games in the VHLM, Henry put up 32 points. In the playoffs he put up 5 points in 4 games and so far in the Junior Showcase Playoffs Henry has 9 points in 7 games. So far at every level he has played at, Henry has been showcasing his great offensive skill and awareness. Defenders are having trouble shutting him down and he hopes he can continue this in the World Junior Championships. " I know teams are starting to watch video and try to create plays to shut me down but I haven't shown the league everything yet " Henry says " I have more tricks up my sleeve and those will start to show during this tournament. I am very excited to get going and can't wait for this tournament to start. Hopefully I can wrap up the Junior Showcase finals by next game and win that championship so then that I can go and join up with Team World" The VHL scouts have been giving positive opinions on this promising prospect and they are all surprised how he continues to dominate the offensive game. The scouts have all said that this could be the next VHL superstar if he continues playing the way he does. A good showing in the WJC can help further cement that opinion. "He has all the skills necessary to complete at the big level, as long as he continues training and playing at the top of his game there is no doubt in my mind he will be a super-star in the league" A VHL scout said "I would be shocked if Henry didnt go top 3 in the VHL draft in S85, he is one of the top players in that draft class and for teams looking for a player to build around....he is that. He is a Franchise changing player and he is showing everyone why he is in these tournaments"
  12. Henry Eagles has stepped up his game and has been on fire in the Junior showcase playoffs. His team has comeback from being down 0-2 and went on to win the first series 3-2 to get themselves into the finals. In the finals the Brigade has taken a commanding 2-0 lead and Henry has managed to score 2 goals in the 2nd game to lead his team to victory. "It's a great feeling being able to help your team win. We never once lost hope after going down 2 games and we showed everyone what we are capable of" Henry said "In the finals were just taking it one game at a time. We know we may be up 2-0 but we know we can't let our foot off the gas as any team is capable of coming back in a series" This has been a great tournament for Henry to showcase his skills to all the scouts as he prepares for his first full VHLM season. The draft is to take place in the next few days and Eagles is touted as being on of the top picks this season. He has been showcasing his offensive talent and any team that picks him will know that they are getting a deadly sniper.
  13. 1. The offseason is officially in full swing, what are you most excited for next season? Most excited about playing a full season with my recreate and seeing how he does with the new hybrid stats. 2. It is almost draft season for the VHL, VHLE and VHLM! If you are eligible for a draft, what draft position range (1st-5th etc.) do you think you'll be drafted in? If not, how do you think you've risen or fallen in your draft class since your draft? I believe I should be a top 10 in the upcomming VHLM draft. I usually max earn and my 3rd player in the VHLM so he should be up there. 3. The NHL Stanley Cup Finals are at hand! Avalanche or Lightning? I think Avalanche will take it. Lightning are a great team but it's time for a new cup winner. 4. What is your favourite late-night snack? All-Dressed chips! Great for a late-night snack while catching up on shows. 5. What is the best movie/ TV show etc. that you have watched recently? I have been watching Yellowstone and that has been great, same with stranger things 6. Do you think of yourself as lucky? Do you even believe in luck? I believe everything happens for a reason but not sure if that comes down to luck or just circumstances
  14. Henry has not been in the league long but he has already played himself into a spot in this years Junior Showcase tournament. The Brigade selected him with the 11th overall pick. The Junior Showcase Tournament is a tournament for all up and coming prospects that gives them a chance to show off to scouts, mingle with other players and management and gives them an opportunity to try and raise their draft stocks. " This has been an exciting opportunity for me and I am very happy to have been selected " Henry says " Being a brand new player with only 16 games under my belt, I didn't think I would have been selected to participate this year. Surprisingly I got the call from the Brigade and I happily accepted" It has not been the best of starts for the Brigade as they find themselves last in the tournament with a 1-6-1 record. The team has struggled to find offense and many were hoping Henry could help fill that void. Unfortunately for Henry and the Brigade, he has struggled so far in this tournament. Henry has so far put up 3 points, with 1 of those being goals. Touted as an offensive threat, those skills have not yet shown up. " There are a lot of good players here who are playing their best in order to raise there draft stocks. It just seems like I am a little step behind them but that could be due to the fact that I haven't had a full season under my belt. Still a little rust to shake-off." Henry continued " I just need to play better, focus on the small things and do what I can to help my team win" By selecting Henry 11th overall, the Brigade put a lot of faith in the youngster to produce and the pressure might be getting to the young sniper. He has not played to the same level as he did with Houston where he lit up the league in 16 games. It's not due to the fact he has had no opportunities as Henry has been featured on the first line for the first half of the tournament. With his dwindling offense, he was moved to the 2nd line in the second half of the tournament, where the coach wanted to light a fire under his ass. " It was my first time ever being demoted but I completely understood why. I need to play better and so far this tournament has been a great experience for what is to come in the VHL. Coaches always want their best players to perform and if they don't, they will ride the pine or be demoted. " Henry said " I promised the coach I will turn things around and I have been working hard in order to get that done. The team needs me and I need to reshow my faith that they showed in me when they selected me" The Tournament had a break yesterday but games will continue today. We will see if Henry can put up some points as the tournament starts to wind down.
  15. After a shortened season do to an early Houston elimination, Henry Eagles, has continued to practice. He has been seen in the gym and on the ice for a majority of his off-season time. " I believe the off-season is the most important time to get in shape and prepare for the upcoming season. I know a lot of players like to take some time off but for me heading into my draft season, I need to make sure I am at 110%. I need to put in the effort now so that I can enjoy those off-days once I am in the VHL" Henry has been steadily working on improving his puck handling and skating. In order for him to be competitive next season, he cannot rely solely on his wrist shot. He needs to be able to outskate and out maneuver his opponents in order to create chances for himself and his team-mates. Henry does not yet know what team he will play for in the VHLM next season but all indication shows that he will be in top shape once training camps open.
  16. 1. Who do you think is winning the Founders cup this season? Both Las Vegas and San Diego are good teams but I think Las Vegas has the edge to win the Founders Cup 2. What are your plans for next season? Continue to impress the scouts and hopefully impress them enough to be selected 1st overall 3. Do you have a team you really want to play for? No, I will be happy with any team that selects me. I always give 100% to any team that chooses me 4. Who do you think Houston's MVP was this season? I wasn't on the team long enough to know who the standouts were this year. 5. Favourite game right now? Been playing the Yakuza series on PS5. Currently on #5 6. Favourite pizza toppings? All meat, always order a meat lovers!

  18. Henry Eagles, the new Eagles to play in the VHL has just completed his short 16 game season in the VHLM. With what we have seen, we can safely say that he may be the best Eagles yet to grace the VHL. In his short time he has managed to impress the VHLM scouts for the upcoming VHLM draft as well as his current team and team-mates on the Houston Bulls. Henry came into the league with high expectations as he is the son of retiring Tom Eagles and Grand-son of the famous Greg Eagles. With that sort of pedigree the expectations and hype are astronomical. The media presence around Henry has been huge but the young player has handled it well. In 16 games, Henry finished the season with 34 points. He split goals and assists at 17 apiece. With his help the Bulls also managed to clinch a playoff spot and will be looking to upset some of the favorites. " It has been a great start into the league and I hope I can carry my regular season form into the playoffs " Henry said " When I joined Houston, I wasn't expecting to make the playoffs. I just wanted to help out a team that just recently traded away most their players in order to kickstart a mini rebuild. I knew that by joining I would get quite a bit of ice-time to show off my skills for the upcoming VHLM draft as well as give the VHL scouts a little food for thought when the S85 VHL draft rolls around" Houston will have a very tough task ahead of them as they face Halifax. Halifax had a great season finishing with 103 points, while the Bulls only finished with 52. On paper Halifax should easily win this series but if Henry can keep up his form, there is a potential for a massive upset. One item that sticks out in this series is that Halifax has a full depth of players in every position while Houston will most likely have to double shift players due to not much depth. " It will be a tough series and one where our few handful of guys will have to give 120%" Henry continued "We will be tired, our legs will hurt but this is playoff hockey. This is why were here and we want to be the team that causes the first big upset of these playoffs. Were a small group but were dedicated and believe in ourselves to get the job done." Henry's big test will start next season as he will be playing a full VHLM season. If he continues his growth and training, many are predicating he will definitely finish next season top 10 in points. The only downside is if Henry will fold under the weight of expectations but with both Eagle's in his corner, we believe he will manage well. Henry has already dedicated his off-season to training with both Eagle's so that he can be in the best possible shape heading into next season.
  19. 1. How do you feel about being a dark horse in the playoffs? I love being a dark horse, it brings more fun to the game and more exciting knowing that you are an underdog 2. Who does your player idolize? My player idolizes Mario Lemieux and his work ethic on and off the ice 3. With the trade moving Doug and Otis to Halifax, how do you feel the team will play after losing them? I was not here when they were moved but it is always unfortunate to see good players move on. 4. What would you like to see for theme week? Unfortunately my player is not eligible for theme week so I don't have to worry about what it will be this season. 5. Who do you think will win the Stanley Cup? Tampa or Colorado are my choices. Both have been playing very well. If I had to pick out of those 2, I would pick Tampa as they have been a powerhouse. 6. What is the best Fruit? Tough choice as so many good fruits....I would have to say Mango
  20. 12 games in and Henry Eagles is already lighting up the M. With his hot start, Henry, now has 25 points in 12 games. 10 goals and 15 assists. Not many expected him to come out flying but he is showing the league to take notice. " I wanted to come in here and light up the league from the start. I know I won't get a full season in the M until next season and my draft year isn't until S85 but the scouts are already looking. If I want to be one of the top picks in the draft, I have to start playing great from day 1. I am getting a great playing opportunity and Houston and I am trying to take full advantage" Henry told the Houston media. If Henry can continue this type of form until the end of the season and bring the same intensity for a full season next year, he should be one of the favorites to get drafted in the top 3. His goal is to get drafted higher then his father, Tom Eagles, who got drafted 3rd overall.
  21. So recreates not eligible? booo and can't add to retired player either
  22. Thanks everyone for the offers! Some great opportunities here to finish out the season and wish all the teams the best of luck! I think to finish off this season I will like to help out Houston as they need some players #HornsUp!
  23. Review: Good article about teams and their main players. In the future, I would suggest is to tag the players you're mentioning . As well a graphic would be nice and add a little more to the article. Other then that I did enjoy reading about your thoughts on players to look out for and also a +1 for mentioning my guy haha. 8/10. Keep up the great work!
