Review: Fun project for the media theme. I like the billboard style graphics, I have used them many times. You just about nailed the perspective and it looks believable. I think the #1 would look better if it were moved just about anywhere else but I know these are fast and fun. Good work. 8/10

Review: First off, I really like this style. You did a great job of not over processing this project. and that is something that is all too common here. I like brush stroke fonts and you did a fine job with the text using them. Placement is excellent as it looks well balanced. Background is top tier and plays well with the other elements. Nice logo arm patch. It's the little things in this graphic that makes it good. Ok, my only concern is your choice of lighting. I am not sure why there is a big light ball under the top lighting and the render clearly has light coming from the right side but it is missing. The vignette cover a bit too much of the text but that really doesn't distract from the overall feel. Great looking project. 9.5/10

1. I feel great. Even though I came in late, I had a really good experience playing on the team. Winning a cup right off the bat will be a good memory. 2. Not really. The other games were close and I thought that even as mean as Simon T is, we wouldn't lose game seven. 3. I think having a very feel about the league will stick with me. My first time in the M was long ago and it was really exciting. This team brought back those memories and all the fun the team had during the playoffs. 4. I will miss my team mates but I think the GM is one of a kind. Great to play here. 5. I think I would make it about Yukon and call it "Train Wreak". They were the golden team that was supposed to take it all..... and didn't. 6. I am training hard, getting a hair cut and going to try and look good for the draft.

Well we made it to the finals and the games are very entertaining. Tons of goals being scored. A true test for the young defense on both teams. I guess the writing was on the wall about this match up. It looked like both teams were dominate in their divisions during the regular season. So two power houses are going head to head for the cup. There will be huge bragging rights after this series. Torq was lucky to be picked up by Ottawa. It's been a fun team to play on and my team mates are really talented. It will be sad to leave but at the same time there is a good chance Max would be leaving with a cup. It couldn't get any better than that for the start of a career. I think it has been a good place to be at this time in his career. It should end well with all the tips and tricks the top dogs on the team have given him. Now to finish this series out. If luck is on our side and we stay out of the box, we should come away from this series with some hardware. I am very confident this will happen.

Review: Good basic sig. Formatting is solid. The render looks too small and the logo should have been removed if not swapped. The stock background is nice but a bit more could have been done here. Text is solid, I really like how some names work with this design. Overall, good job but could have taken it to the next level. 8/10

Review: Fun looking graphic. I like the vibe you went for. There are many ways to skin a cat so I won't question how or why you did it this way. It looks fun and that was the point. Text looks a bit out of place but maybe just a different color would have fixed that. Render effects are inline with the theme. I love the Raven. 8/10

1 Playoffs just started and we are off to a great start, do you think we will be able to get into the final stage or not? Yes, we will win the cup. 2 Who do you think will get into the finals? (your options are Ottawa, Minnesota, Halifax and Yukon) I am guessing Yukon. 3 Are you happy or sad that this chapter of your career is nearly over? Sad to leave the team, happy to move on and learn more skills. 4 What is your favorite drink? ( mine is water or maybe orange juice, I do not like that much drinks with a lot sugar, they destroy your body) I like water with lots of ice. 5 Last time I asked you what were you doing for Halloween, now I am going to ask you: did you have fun that night as you planned or was it boring? I just drove around the streets in my van with no windows. It was fun. 6 If you could bring back to life a famous historical figure, who would you choose? Mark Twain

Text is next level, the rest of it is way too sharp.

Cartoon style. A lot layer work involved. I like to try different things and this was interesting. Thank you for your comment.

We made to the playoffs by the skin of our collective tooth. Ottawa seems to be in beast mode and is in search for a worthy opponent. So far it really hasn't been much of a challenge. I am afraid the team will become complacent and lose our edge against a strong team. I am sure a gut check is incoming very soon. I feel the team has what it takes to beat anyone in the league, yes I am bias. The fact that anyone on any given night can step up and contribute is a testimony of a true championship team with top notch leadership. You just don't happen to be good, it is hard work to make things click. A task that this team has managed to do. As a rookie, I am learning from the guys in the room. A lot of talent on this team and they have all be very kind and helpful when I have been struggling. What a great way to start a hockey career. Let's go team!

1 We are back on track baby, we won two time against Yukon, our rival for the title (with Minnesota), are you happy? and also, are you ready for the playoffs? I am very happy and I was born ready. 2 Which team surprised you more this season (at the moment)? I don't know the teams well enough to give a good opinion. I am a rookie and this is all new to me. 3 Which team disappointed you more this season (at the moment)? Any of the teams we lost to. 4 What is your favorite dish? For example mine is Pizza. I really like Chinese food. 5 As this week there will been Halloween, will you party with your friends or will you stay at home because you do not like Halloween? I stayed home and played tricks on my dog. 6 NHL finally started, is your team off to a good start? I follow the LA Kings so that says it all.

Review: You had the right idea, you just did it wrong. I like that texture and I have used it many times but it makes for a tricky top layer/overlay. You would have been better served by using that as a background texture and showcasing your render and text. A few minutes of work could change this into something that is a bit more legible. Keep working, you have skills. 7/10

Review: Looking at this I can see you put some effort into this project. The background texture really works with the logo and text. The main issue I have is your that your focus should be on the render and everything should compliment that main focal point. This example almost does the complete opposite. Your render has no connection with the background. You want the proper effects/ blends to make your render looks sharp, detailed and the star of the show. Formatting is important. I would look up the "Rule of Thirds" and try to follow those guidelines to get an idea about element placement. I like the effort. 7.5/10

Junior Review - Max Torq Max started out his hockey career at a young age, like many do in hockey country. He was big for his age but not very agile. As he progressed into junior high school, he was a standout. Not for his skill, but for his size. Not that he wasn't skilled, about average for his age, but the other players were always intimidated by his size and his desire to be a hard hitting defenseman. The coaches/math teacher asked him to not hit the small kids very hard to avoid injuries. Well that didn't go over very well with Max and he soon quit the team and joined a league outside of the scope of the school. He really liked playing against players his own size and he learned a few laws of physics along the way. One thing he learned real fast was just because he was big, it didn't make other players fall down when he thought they should. This is a time where he learned a thing or two about playing a checking defenseman. His coach was an old WHL defenseman and loved to see a young kid wanting to do the things he loved in the sport. Max's skill level went up a few notches over the next couple of seasons with that coach giving him pointers along the way. Max played for his high school and that was the best 5 years he ever had playing with and against his classmates. He was becoming an excellent player and showed restraint when needed and went crazy when someone picked on one of his team mates. He was loved by all except the opposing teams. Max had a well grounded ego and tried to help others where he could. He was developing some leadership skills and learning his trade at a steady pace. He got his bell rung a few times and he just rubbed some dirt on it and moved on. All part of the sport of hockey and Max took it all in, good and the bad. His play was becoming a bit more chippy and he started taking the body hard during his last year of high school. He already had scouts from the VHLM keeping an eye on him. This added no pressure on him as he was able to stay focused on the task at hand, keeping the players out of his zone. It didn't matter who was watching him as he didn't even think about a full career as a professional. Max was invited to a few training camps in the summer after his schooling was finally finished. He impressed enough folks to get a chance to play at a handful of colleges. Max was not an intellect, but he knew his trade and wanted to reach for something higher than more of the same with a college team. He took a real hard look at the VHLM. The rest of his story hasn't played out yet but I would expect him to be a solid devoted player as a professional.

What a great beginning of a hockey career for Max Torq. He was picked up by Ottawa and was slotted in the third line. For a rookie, that is a dream come true. A very good team with many future super stars. It is a bit intimidating to be on the ice with such talent. Max is a hard worker though and has had the chance to watch how the more skilled players on the team handle themselves. With a good work ethic, I expect Max will progress at a accelerated pace. While still defining his play style, Max should be a big body that makes big hits that in turn, hopefully, leads to an opportunity to score. Playing on defense can be a thankless job at times but it also has a lot of upside. One thing that is satisfying is throwing a big hit and taking the puck away. Other things that are fun is sliding in front of a slap shot and have it hit you in the helmet. All the fun stuff that the forwards don't have to worry about. Max will work hard to make his mark in the league and on a few players. It just takes time and hard work.

Review: This stays close to your short clean design style. Great text with a clean render makes for a pleasing project to admire. I really like the color palette you chose and the blending looks smooth. I would have liked more render detail but that's more my style. Great job. 8/10

Review: I really like it when members try something that is rarely tried. This is a good example of pushing the limits. You really made this bold and dramatic. Looks good overall even with the blown out effect. I really like your choice in font and it looks fitting for this style. I would question the use of fog with this style but it looks unique non the less. Good on you for stepping out of the norm. 8/10

1. We have traveled around the league a few times this season and eat at a lot of different restaurants, which location is your favorite to visit and why? (yes you can pick Ottawa ;)) I like Ottawa just to get me some of that Beaver. 2. Whenever we've had a hat trick this season the fans have been covering the ice with frozen fish, do we need to change it to anything else? If so what would you suggest? A nice frozen steak every once in awhile would be nice. 3. We all have our sticks taped a certain way, tinted or no tinted visors and at the end of each game some equipment gets used more than others.. If you could give them the Three Stars of the night, which pieces do you think earned the honors? I would say stick tape all around. 4. Our locker room doesn't have a lot of channels right now and I did that so it was easier for players to adjust with all the other channel notifications, do you like it as is or do you think we need to add a few more channels for more enjoyment in the locker room? I like it how it is but I haven't been here long enough to notice any other needs. 5. Okay I'm allowing everybody to BYPTW (bring your pet to work), do you have an animal you could bring or are you borrowing the neighbors? If so what type of animal is it? I would bring my old dog Oscar to work. 6. We all have our mistakes and the game goes on, what is the biggest thing you learnt or improved on as the season progressed? I have made mistakes as you just need to work through them and improve for the next game. Having good leadership to point out things that could be better really helps.
